@StephenMilone made this great app for the Moto X that enables the "secret" charging/notification light. I've tested it on my Maxx, and it worked perfectly. This mod is still in the early stages of development, but works great. Check it out! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2602689

Can you please post a picture of this in action?
I've seen the post and the picture with the Moto X LED on behind the earpiece speaker. However, it was said that that LED's original function was to signal charging when the battery was too low to power the screen. I've had my Maxx charging when it was completely drained and there was no LED. I don't have my Maxx rooted so there's no way for me to see what this looks like myself. I'd appreciate seeing what it looks like since, even with active notifications, I get nostalgic for that notification LED from my RAZR HD Maxx.
Thanks

Unfortunately, the light on the Maxx looks pretty terrible, nothing like the nice one on the Moto X that's reminiscent of the Razr HD :/ Anyway, here's a picture:

You have to be rooted, then download the app linked in the OP and set your desired settings there
It does work!
I have a few apologies to make. I didn't think it was true!
Having some issues disabling though.

Just run the command "none" and it'll turn off - or reboot with the "apply on boot" option turned off. The setting is not saved on reboot by the OS.
Nice! Nothing beats an extra feature!
Thank you

Umm it was posted in this very forum(Q&A) YESTERDAY, here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1962386
Come on dude, this N4 forum is pretty new, there are a only 3-4 pages for each section. The least you could do is read a couple of pages of threads instead of cluttering a new forum. The link I provided, actually is in regard to the manual. I'm not trying to be a dink, but don't look to be spoonfed information here.
Edit: The manual was posted as a PDF 3 days ago, in general here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1958277

How does the Notification LED work on Nexus phones? On my Desire Z the LED is basically useless because it shuts off after 5 minutes.
Since this phone is based off of a LG Optimus G, I'm going to assume the LED lights are very similar.
Here's a vid to the Optimus G's LED light, just imagine the same light on the bottom bezel for the Nexus 4.

Great! I got used on this essential feature for me since years using htc phones and I was a bit worried about lg not inlcuding it. Now I'm only worried about this disco lights look of back side but I think my trusty Sensation is going for a sale soon anyway

Hi guys, just thought I'd let you all know about a free cool new app I've released on Play Store
DockClock allows you to turn your S5 (or S4) into a cool clock while it's docked or simply charging, and is specifically made for AMOLED screens which only light up the pixels they're using which creates an awesome effect, especially at night.
It also moves the clock randomly every 15 seconds to counter the renowned burn-in effect suffered by AMOLED screens.
Download it now from Play Store!

Wow. Much needed app for me.

Thanks for the feedback, I only have sub-1080 screen phones so was kind of hard guessing the X and Y for the locations of the clock. Easy to change, looks like it needs reducing a little on the X. Shall change this now, expect update in next couple hours.

Right that last update should have sorted it.
Lots of trial and error using an AVD in 1080p which nearly made the computer go into meltdown and was terminally slow, got there in the end
Enjoy.

To get EVERYTHING working properly.
After installing the app update Go to system/lib and change libgoogle_hotword_jni.so to libgoogle_hotword_jni.so.bak. Then place this file
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ujrrodffh1g7rbp/libgoogle_hotword_jni.so?dl=0
Into system/lib and change permissions to rw-r-r.
Reboot
Profit
Great job Casey worked great and what an awesome update really love it. The OK google is much quicker. If this is any indication of android L and I think it is the update is going to kick ass.

Followed instructions above and Search actually worked UNTIL I rebooted. Now attempting to open search and it does nothing. No crash report or anything it just will not open. Can anyone offer any ideas?
Edit: disabling hotword detection allows Google search to work again. Guess it's back to the previous version for now.
Edit2: was able to get it working after following this androidpolice article: http://goo.gl/FqydFB It needed two additional /system/lib files.

I followed the instructions exactly as posted. I'm guessing it's a problem conflicting with some other configuration I have?

See this post over in the Droid Turbo forum. Someone with the Quark Droid Turbo XT1254 claims he's enabled the FM radio using Motorola factory software you can download here on XDA.
He said he did this over a year ago before the Droid Turbo bootloader was unlocked.

The attached image is the RadioCOMM program. displayed is the CDMA Tools, which controls how the phone talks to the CDMA Towers.
you can just see at the bottom left, PST_USB and XT1254. that is the model number for my DROID Turbo and the USB mode its using to communicate with the hardware itself.

Not yet. Maybe when I get through with my work week.
i tried to use the radioCOMM, but without the ID or any other data about the FM Radio the probability to brick is near to 100%.
If you have any data to enable FM i offer to try.

Hey guys - This won't magically enable anything for you but check out Cloudplayer by DoubleTwist. It has local radio stations baked into a very slick material design app. Quality from my quick tests was fantastic. Even has the station's logo displayed.
Also allows you to chromecast local audio files with no delay (I've found nothing else that does this!).
I couldn't get the software to see my phone. I tried every trick in the book. I think my win10 x64 machine is just too new.
Is there a way to completely desaturate the screen(washed out colors on the 6p)?…. When I first bought the 6p in Nov., I had to return it because the screen's warm and sharp colors gave me bad headaches( I am visually impaired). I currently use a lenovo vibe x3 that allows me to change the warm and cold color sliders, and saturation. Sliders in display settings... I have to keep them to the lowest or else I get terrible headaches...
With cool stuff I Android n I am tempted to use the 6p, but not too sure if it is possible to fix it via root now?
Thnx
Thnx

You can make screen colors what ever way you like with custom kernel and app like exkm

For that I have to root, which means looking at the screen for some time... I would definitely faint by the time I am done with rooting and installing the custom kernel ..
Can you also posts screen shot of the interface for kernel manager color settings. I only see red blue green on his play store screen shots.. where are the cool warm and saturation sliders?

Thx for the screenshot bro.. I have always been s Nexus user since the galaxy Nexus and was heart broken when I had to return the 6p after using it for an hour... I have since missed rooting and the timely updates, but was inclined to give it another try since the prices are down.
This screenshot gives me confidence, but I am still a bit shaky as last time I had a headache for a week when I used the stock screen with saturated colors..
I know this phone is not for me(emotionally hurt). [emoji24]
