Hey All,
Trying to help a friend recover a bricked phone. He tried installing a ROM without taking a backup first and phone was stuck in a bootloop. Suggested he flash a stock ROM but he has no idea what CSC he should be using. We've tried installing a custom ROM but phone is still stuck in bootloop (even after factory reset / EFS clean etc) - suspecting he's got the wrong radio flashed so stock would be where I would normally go, but there's like a million variants on stock.
Any suggestions? Any way we can retrieve CSC once ROM has been overwritten?
Cheers
Owen

That's for ( N-9005 ) not N900 .. I suspect that's the initial mistake my friend made, flashing a ROM intended for a different device ... it went downhill from there

Tried a couple of them but suspect without knowing what CSC I need it will take some time to work through them all:
List is here:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-N900
So far I've tried:
XFE-N900XXUCMK2-20131209123311 -> Stuck on Samsung logo
SER-N900XXUBMI5-20131001102120 -> Refuses to flash
DOR-N900UBUCMK1-20131220172802 -> Goes as far as showing an Orange logo, then sticks on Samsung logo
They take an age to download, so not getting anywhere quickly
Only ty stock mk2 or ml2 roms, all lower ones wont work

Have a look at the box, to see what country this phone was made for. Or look at the phone back (under the battery) to see where this phone has been made.

My phone's box has a label "Samsung Malaysia..." so basically I can know this phone was made for Malaysian region.
Try to look around your box?
Your phone cannot boot into the OS at all? If it can boot so you can install my app Phone INFO from Play Store to check for the region code.

Probably a sammobile.com firmware .
jje
This is not for i9300 but for i9308 which is a chinese variant as far as i know from googling, also found that i9308's stock roms are bloated to death with chinese apps and such. Simply just dont flash this as its for the china variant and bloated to hell.
I've come across a China Mobile I9308, and I have the Asian/Chinese firmware on it and firstly, removing the bloatware takes 3minutes (quick root flash via Odin, install Root Uninstaller App and remove all stock/bloatware apps). Secondly, to install Google Play Store (which took me hours to figure out), you need to install a "gapps(something or other. I can't recall).zip. Only problem I've run into is getting 4G to run after flashing it to AT&T. And last but not least, I think this is definitely not the Chinese Firmware. The Chinese firmware can be found in samsung's website and the file has a different name.

Latest ROM
I have a i9308 and any of the newer release of the "official firmware' messed up my start up and made it loop...
I installed this using Heimdall skipped the bootloader as it seems to fail in both odin and Heimdall on hardware build 6.00
I found the newest official rom bbs dot anzhi dot com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6344702 ... sorry not enough posts to send out side links ... i under stand.
everything else worked fine.... after this and i was able to back and do the usual install of CWM ..... which failed using Heimdall ... again on the bootloader .... so using Odin it worked ... i used virtual box and Windows 7 ... with the latest Samsung drivers ....i had to create a specific interface for the Samsung in virtual box so the i9308 would mount with out conflict in windows .... i was then able to install CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4 ...
Once rooted i started looking for a way to install google play and all the google services.
i installed this ROM anzhi_karben_samsung_i9308_V1.0 which had the google drivers i needed and was not full of to much other crap and worked well in english ... i found this here bbs dot anzhi dot com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6198323 i used my Wiebo account to do this and was then able to download.
I got the google pack ..... well one that worked and after i checked everything did not have any malicious scripts that i could find ... bbs dot anzhi dot com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=5401203 ... the zip file was gapps-ics-20120429-signed-4.0.4
i hope this helps some people Heimdall took a little after i figured out how to do this.... it was easy ... i have wiped it out a few times i nthe last week and tried different ROMs from the various Chinese boards ...some made very odd requests for SU access here and there ...i generally removed them after trying to find the offending script .... as i said so far the ones i am using have been pretty safe with little to no issues. I did go in and remove a lot of the preloaded China Mobile wares ...so far the phone is great ... i do fid the wifi signal sucks....
My first android i rooted myself ...see what happens after a drunk night in a taxi in Beijing and you lose your iPhone.... having fun.

Not a well known device......
Did you back up your EFS folder before flashing a custom rom on it??
You may very well need to flash a stock rom back on the device. Check your firmware here - http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/
Not sure if this is going to help either - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pai4BH3AWq8

Hello guys!
In the past, I faced some similar problems with my Galaxy S3 because I was a mad ROMs tester, so one time the baseband messed up with me and I lost all the network abilities, but I managed to deal with that..
Today it's my dad's issue, he likes to keep everything on stock, but rooted...
So he updated his I9505 to the latest Lollipop version, then he rooted it..
Today he told me that he can't make or receive ANY calls or SMSs, but the mobile data is still working as it should.
He can't remember if the problem started before or after updating.. So I tried the following:
• Did a factory reset.
• flashed a clean 4 files firmware through ODIN.
• took the SIM away and tested it on another devices, it works fine.
• Downgraded to KitKat and flashed the proper modem and bootloader.
Nothing helped [emoji17][emoji17]
So I wish that you guys, can do your best to help me..
P.S. The IMEI serial number is fine ( no null/null or imilar errors ).

So that means no hardware issues?

It could simply be SIM card issues, yes. Definitely not hardware if it works with another SIM.

Hello Guys! It's Been More Than A Week Now, That I Am Unable To Solve This ; "No Mobile Network Available!" Issue On My 11-Month Old Rooted Lenovo A6000. What All Things I Tried To Resolve This Issue, But, DIN'T WORK:
1. Checked The Stock ROM
2. Flashed Mokee ROM.
3. Settings->Sim Cards->Data Connection(ON).
4. Settings->Sim Cards->Sim1/2->Network Operators->Choose Automatically
5. Settings->Sim Cards->Sim1/2->Network Operators->Choose Manually
6. Removed Google Account And Tried (As Posted As A Fix By Some Other Forum)
7. Used 3 SIM Cards (Which Are Working On Other Phones)
NOTHING IS HELPING!
Please! You Can Help Me. Can You?:crying:

Nothing happens on its own. You must have flashed something wrong. Or you could've dropped your phone.
BTW, if you flash stock ROM with stock recovery, they are not gonna find it. And you can easily get your phone repaired.

Definitely, the guy who changed it did something wrong. I don't see any other reason for this.

Since, The Phone Is Opened, i.e. Physically Opened. Will The Stock ROM Installation Help?
Will The Service Center Guys Accept?

Well, they would atleast give it a look. Maybe, find out that somebody has opened it earlier. But, give it a try. And btw, why don't you go to the guy who changed your display. Tell him, its his fault. Maybe its just a loose wire and he could fix it.
And download from here instead, if you haven't started yet.
