This morning I woke up to an update sitting on my verizon phone. It is rooted and has CWM recovery. I cancelled the update. Got to the office and install Malladus 1.2.5. My question is:
1) The Phone already downloaded the update. Where can I find it to delete it out of my system.
2) Does Malladus disable the auto updates in the future?

I downloaded the OTA update on my wifi N7, and when it rebooted into recovery, I found that I had CWM installed. Is using CWM to flash the OTA package dangerous? My instinct tells me it's not a good idea. I was under the impression that having CWM installed would block OTA updates in the first place. Thanks!
So this is my first post.
I have a rooted Nexus 4. The Kit Kat update came OTA today. Downloaded. About 30 seconds into the install got Error and it rebooted into 4.3. Lost root.
What is my best route for installing the update? It's obviously on the phone but how do I install it? I'm assuming I have to re-root and install from root? I don't know. Help please.

Hi All,
I'm currently on D80220b-466-92. Recently got a notification about a software update. Should be D80220c in update, I know some person who did update and got that new version (we bought our devices in the same place).
But I've rooted my device and OTA failed for me with some error code. On rebooting I've got a message that my device is rooted and OTA won't work there.
Right, so I've removed any modification: host from AdAway, adabbeb camera and player mod, SuperSu full deinstalliation from it settings.
Did reboot, kick off OTA downloads again and it failed for me again.
So, is that possible to do that or should I fully reflash my device on stock firmware.
There should be some checks that OTA update script are checking, and needs to find that.
I have my phone rooted (originally it was king root but I managed to get SUroot on it) and have TWRP recovery installed, other than that my phone is stock. Yesterday I got a notice that there was an OTA update. I tried it out of curiosity but it failed with no harm done just an error. Does anyone know what the update is? Is it worth reverting to stock for?
Hi, I have a european S8+ fully rooted and with TWRP.
Everything's working great so far but I read somewhere that I won't receive further OTA updates.
Can I install them manually with TWRP?
If yes, 3 questions:
1. Where can I get them?
2. Do I need every single update or are the newest update always containing the older updates as well?
3. Do I lose root or TWRP after installing an update?
I've rooted with Magisk by the way.
Typically if you're rooted and modified the system partition (BusyBox or twrp or whatever) the update will not install in stock recovery. Usually you have to unroot reinstall stock recovery and flash ota. There's toolkits out that can do that. Or you can just find an awesome rom like a rooted debloated rom thats just recently updated and just flash that. Or you can what till somebody snags the ota update location then posts that.
