I have nexus 4 with android 4.4.2. I just root my device and now i am not able to switch to ART. It is giving me option to select runtime and i did select ART and the phone reboots and after reboot it is back to Dalvik.

Although the option is present, it doesn't mean that the rom actually can utilize ART. I forget the exact term, and/or which is which, but it depends on if the rom is deodexed or odexed.

Xposed and all its modules are not compatible with ART. That's it keeps changing back to dalvik. Get rid of xposed and you can use ART.

Do you have xposed framework installed?. It doesn't support art so it doesn't let you use it.

Xposed Framework FAQ
After installing Xposed, the runtime gets reset from ART to Dalvik. Can you stop it please?
You can be glad that I implemented this, otherwise you would be in a bootloop know. Xposed isn't compatible with ART (yet). It's a completely different architecture with pretty much no documentation. I hope that I can rewrite Xposed for the ART runtime, but don't expect it in the near future. It requires understanding the concept, the code structure and many details to know how it works. Afterwards, I have to think about ways to hijack it and this needs to be implemented, tested and improved again and again. So please don't ask when it will be available - you will surely know when it is ready. - @rovo89

Just for the record, you don't need a custom rom for the Xposed Framework. It took me a while to figure out these were two separate suggestions.

Can someone please simplify it for me?
I'm not that familiar with mods and stuff.
I am using android 4.4.2 kitkat pure android from google.
Just tell me what to do to not have this message.
The thread is way too long!
Thanks!
You need to root your phone, which means unlocking bootloader. Then you can install xposed framework (a modification which allows plugins to your official firmware) Yak84 linked a module for the xposed framework which does what you want.

My nexus is rooted.
So I need to do install from sdcard for what file?
What's after?
I'm not familiar with mods.
Only flashing roms and gapps.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401 That's the xposed framework that's been mentioned twice. It installs like a normal app, not from recovery. Once that's installed then you can install the module that disables the warning message.

Greenify not hibernating automatically

Hello,
My Greenify app doesn't hibarnate apps automatically for some reason, thought everything is correct with the permissions in the SuperSu and in the Greenify app itself...
Does anybody know what might be the cause for such thing?
Create a shortcut and just press it whenever you want to hibernate takes less than 1 second lol

Check if auto hibernation is not disabled. Enable it.
You can also install the app and also clear cache.

Try becoming a beta tester, 2.3 is in beta status. Also xposed framework makes it possible for greenify to have a few extra features.

I'm having this problem too, and it's just recent. Either that, or I haven't been paying attention. It's been working just fine for almost a year on my Nexus 4. I wonder if it's specific to our phone?

Follow the Quote above...if you want the extra features, they are still visible under the settings in Greenify, but are grayed-out due to no Xposed Framework installed.
Together with Xposed, i am hitting 2 days and 20 hours on every cycle with 3 to 4 hours screen time.

I updated yesterday. I noticed that apps that previously were not automatically hibernating are now.
Yes that's because latest 2.6 Xposed causes it to break the coding of greenify system but it was fixed with the updates.

I have the same problem, apps seem to stay in the "pending" list unless I hibernate them manually. Auto hibernation is enabled.
I have a Nexus5, stock Android + franco kernel, Greenify 2.4beta15 and xposed 2.6.1. Also have superSU.
If I check my superSU logs I can see that Greenify doesn't make any requests by itself.
Has there been found any solutions yet?
Managed to get it to work by downloading the latest beta version (2.4 beta17).

[MOD] Modified NfcNci.apk to allow nfc polling while locked

I couldn't find a modified NfcNci.apk specifically for the nexus 5, so I made it myself.
Built with beanstalk ROM but should be compatible with any CM 11 based ROM
To install:
Backup original NfcNci.apk from /system/app and replace with modified apk
Make sure to change permissions to 644

Is this apk working with screen off, or only locked and screen on? Anyone tested this apk on CM?
@ idbl_fanatic: this can't be true, xposed 100% does not work with ART atm, your phone use dalvik instead - you're wrong thinking it runs ART if xposed is working.

Yes, I found that out shortly after I posted that
Problem here. I have stock 5.0.1 (odexed), and I tried this apk. Now the nfc is not working at all, neither it is shown in the settings menu. Of course I took a backup of the apk, though, after restoring it nothing changed. Any suggestions for at least to have nfc to its original state? Maybe I should change the odex file, too? With what?
Thanks!

From experience, replacing SystemUI while booted into Android will usually result in FCs before it even finishes being copied, and before you can set the permissions. Which means you can't do much until you flash it properly in recovery, fixing SystemUI's permissions in the updater-script.
Oh OK.. Thank you. Anyone try this yet? I have stock odex but rooted.. 4.4.4
Never mind, it works great! Had to give it a shot.. [emoji14] good stuff, especially for odex. We need more mods with odex.. Thanks again.

Overview in Lollipop is too different from Recent Apps in KK, it's also different activities. The recent apps activity is for some reason still in Lollipop, but if you open it up, it does nothing xD
It'll have to be redone for Overview in Lollipop, guides on doing it in for KK's Recent Apps won't work.
