n9005 is better the the n900, but if custom roms is a concern for you, then n9005 is the right one.
in doing daily tasks, there are no noticeable differences except for battery life which i read that it is better on the n9005.
if you can get someone to buy it for you (n9005) and check for hardware issues, it would be great.
i myself had to buy it from outside my country (my cousin bought it and sent it to me) and got it right with no problems from the first time.
i bought the n9005 version because custom roms are a big concern for me (you know, why am i buying an android if i'm not going to mod it?)

For all intents and purposes, you will always want to stick with the Qualcomm Snapdragon version of any phone, including the N900x. The Samsung Exynos SoC may be able to provide you with better battery life and performance (Samsung's approach to controlling both hardware and software of their devices like Apple), but the weak developer support is simply not worth it. And all versions of the Qualcomm model (with the exception of Verizon's) are the same International version with an unlocked bootloader, and therefore can be flashed with any ROM from the Android Development forum.

Exynos device is not supported by many good devs, so really, if you want to use custom roms on your phone, then you are better buy an snapdragon version

Pros for 9505: many roms including aosp and better community support, GPU with OpenGL 3.0, LTE, same hardware as google edition
Cons for 9505: about 10% less CPU power
Pros for 9500: about 10% more CPU power
Cons for 9500: no AOSP at least for now, worse dev community support, older GPU, no LTE (LTE version of 9500 is only in Korea), flawed CPU
No one knows if You will be able to flash google rom directly, but most probably it will be at least easily portable to 9505. For me the choice is very easy.

You're buying S4 from korea?
Anyway, get i9505 as it has much more development support and has 4g.

So the Gpu is better on the I9505 even though it's weaker?
Which one will show better performance in the future on heavy games (I know that at the moment, no game is a challenge for any one of them...).

See the gpu in i9500 has higher mhz but it isnt noticeable as no games are that high but for the future the i9500 has no support for glse 3.0 unlike the i9505 which does so u choose
samsung made this a controversy so that both devices sell
so....I9505 ? Or I9500?
iPhone 5 definitely :good: :good:

I consult....In any case I'm still not close what I want to buy I do not know what more to either pay = \
I'm looking forward to a quick root& recovery. and some speedy stripped down roms
also it would be magical if we could get chainfire3D just think of the tegra chips we could emulate with that cpu power
oh.. I almost forgot..
a swap int sd with ext sd is much appriciated also
A rooted STOCK rom, this is all i need.
All other, like Wanam, Omega etc but
Specially waiting to taste MiniTab roms
Note 3's size is perfect for Pablet+Tablet Ui.....Hope someone would Definitly polt Galaxy Tab 2014 rom to Note 3...buth device has pretty similar hardware specs
only a rooted rom.
everything else will come later
There was a rom for the Note 2 that caught my attention that used a samsung base, but modified AOSP visuals, so you kept all the goodies, but had the nice status bar and google apps as opposed to the TW calendar and stuff.
The slick part about the screenshots for it was the nice theme as well. Instead of the plain black and blue AOSP, it had a nice polished white theme, kind of similar to what you see on MIUI/sense. But it still had multi-window support and full s-pen features.
Of course, the rom had some optimizations as well but that's only icing on the cake.
I will be buying the Note 3 exynos version in India.
I read a lot about developers not supporting the exynos. CM 10.2 was ported to S4 i9500 but it still has bugs. Camera not working.
Will the scene be better for Note 3 by any chance. Or I should consider importing Note 3 snapdragon 800 from outside. ?
For the. Tmobile version Tweaked. Awesome rom and Dev.

If Miui would get official support for the note 3 I would be very happy! (the note 2 has official support which includes all the features of the s-pen) otherwise just a rooted stock rom would be okay, I can freeze/delete all bloat myself then

I'm from India too..I also think snapdragon is better..but note 3 is already at 50k, importing will cost a fortune.
another point ,as you must be aware is warranty..even if u can get one imported do you have easy access to that country so that in case of an issue you can avail warranty?
if the above two are ok then go for the snapdragon version.
By the way if you do import it could you please just send me the details like price, country and such?

yh 50k is a lot. But we will be able to get it in 44-45k . There are always coupons available on indiatimes website. I don't think Samsung provides international warranty. In any case it only covers manufacturing defects I guess not accidental insurance. I have had 3 iphones, lumia 920 never had to use the warranty once.
I have friend going to hong kong at the end of this month. Will see what is the price and all, then decide.
Tweaked for Verizon or Rooted Stock Rom, Xposed can handle the rest of my needs.
How long do you reckon it will take for the GN3 to be rooted?
I would love to see Omega Rom come here.
Root on the stock ROM is all I need.

PhoeniX
CM

I would prefer to be without a contract, I'm okay being without LTE in the USA, would like international usability, and am confused about all these different variants in model numbers, processor types, and versions (e.g. Google edition, Active edition, etc...). Thanks!

Go for I9506.I think is the best.I own this phone and is better than I9505.But if you are looking for any custom rom you will not find anyhing for it(yet) only root and a few mods compatible from I9505.But overall is way better than i9505.The Snapdragon 800(2,3 Ghz and Adreno 330) does his job very well.And....there is no official android 4.3 for it.Just 4.2.2.I9506 rocks the benchmarks. In Antutu(stok ROM,stock Kernel) it scores around 35000 pts.
none , don t purchase an s4 , if u really want a Samsung device the s5 is coming soon , also concerning international usability with regional lock Samsung is not a good option
If you're considering a Google play edition device, you're better off with the nexus 5

Has the S5 been announced? Doesn't Samsung usually release new year flagship phones in March/April? I'll need one much sooner than that.
Also, what's the problem with international use on a GS4? I think I remember reading that International GS4s in the USA don't have 4G use, and USA GS4s don't work well in other countries. If I get a rootable GS4, would this resolve this concern?
Thanks again for the help guys!
hi im gonna buy note 3 but a little confused in which one should i buy?
i want heavy customization, (get bored with one rom and need another sooner , so should be most supported by devs in xda)
3g is enough, don't need 4g. but it doesn't hurt me if it is in device, but i mostly select 2g only mode.
i play games but not heavy games, just puzzle games low battery.
need highest battery life. no matter how, even if after custom roms and kernels.
need high resolution.
get the exynos smn900

If you want dev support and customROMS the Snapdragon is your best option.
Snapdragon support has always been much greater than Exynos support.

No. Really, no. Not if you want ROM development.
Hello all
My G3 broke last week and I was leering towards a G4 however the Note 4 tempts me due to the bigger size and the S stylus as I'm a uni student. Is the Note 4 really worth it? I've heard of touch wiz lag horrors
I however have a few concerns.:
I need the handset to primarily work in the UK on both 3G and 4G. I know the F will work but how about the C ?
Which is the better variant of both of them? I am looking to install many custom roms as well as root it so which is best for this? Does the C variant have a decent custom rom scene?
I have the option of buying either the N910F or the N910C at a slightly reduced price, and I intend to keep the phone for at least 1 year.
Also how does guarantee work? If I root or flash custom roms, will I lose my guarantee?
Thanks
Hello, i'm user of the n910c version. For the network both have the same so you'll don't have any problem with this. For general use, i didn't have any problem with touchwiz (even if i hate this interface). If you want to root or install custom ROM you'll break your guarantee (the Knox guarantee in download mode will be incremented ). And the main problem is since lollipop (with coj5 bootloader) you don't go back to earlier version (everybody says that the bootloader is blocked). Si if you want flash custom ROM in lollipop version you can have cyanogenmod, some ports of GS6 edge or GN5 and other from stock GN4 ROM.
I hope you understood my bad english (sorry i'm french).

I'm in the UK on EE network. I sold my 910f on eBay and bought the 910c from simply electronics sim free for less than I sold the f for lol (£322.95)
Got to say I much prefer the exynos version it runs a lot cooler than the snapdragon variant plus it's easier to port n5 rom to the n910c as well. Any info you want just hit me up

I've got the 910C and am extremely happy with it (came from a Note 3; tried the LG G4 and returned it -- screen too small, also didn't like losing space by not having capacitive buttons, and missed my stylus).
I'm a touch disappointed by the custom rom scene for the 910C -- Wanam has left it, as has Dr. Ketan. I'm running a stock, debloated rom (ShonkUK) and, thanks to Chainfire, can now do it rooted with an enforcing stock kernel -- but you can do that on the 910F too. Looking at these forums, it seems to me that the 910F/Snapdragon development scene is a bit more active -- but not so much more so that it makes me regret my choice. Without having tried them both, I'm impressed with Exynos . I don't think you can go wrong with either.
In my opinion n910f is better choice because of performance battery and more roms
If this helped you press the thanks button.

Recently got myself the SM-910C and happy camper. Moved from G3. Noticed quite a few improvements in battery, display and gaming. Wow!
I ran Blissrom on my G3 if that helps.
Just got new N910C, it has better performance in usual tasks, Touchwiz seems faster, and audio is better. Also C has few Note 5 Roms available...
