Having trouble mounting my WD passport 1tb external drive, I posted screenshot of logcat with the errors. My galaxy s4(cm11 nightly 1/6) has no issues mounting the same drive with the same off cable.
known problem in cm nightlies?
Currently on cm11 nightly 1/6

I think many ROMs are having this problem. 4.4 at least. I've tried 3 4.4 custom ROMs and none could mount. I did see something on XDA about it, but I can't seem to find the link now. Stickmount doesn't help.
Try this app: crashes, but is the only one that works with cm11*and n7 2013

Hello there .
One Question here:
With the Stock ROM I had the USB 3.0 option.

With CM11 I have only two options, that are MTP and PTP.
Connecting with just MTP I do not get USB 3.0 speed anymore copying from or to my Windows 8.1 Laptop which has 3x USB 3.0 ports.
On stock ROM it worked (data rates of up to 100MB/sec)
Can someone help me please?
I am having the exact same problem on my Galaxy Note 3. Can anyone think of something? I have no clue what the issue is.
No support USB 3.0 on CM...
This one to be precise.

I've used different PNY flash drives and never had an issue, but I've confirmed that this one was the culprit by replicating the issue after restoring a backup and trying to mount it again. It actually does mount, but after unmounting my battery shows it's charging while not being connected to anything and I can no longer mount any flash drives at all. Restoring a backup resolves it, but I couldn't figure out any other way to fix it without a backup.
If anyone knows anything more specific about this bug, then it'd be nice to hear from you. If not, then that's my experience with those PNY fds on Tmo M919 (currently unlocked on Cricket [AIO/At&t] running The Sickness Edition v3 TW rom.

I have a USB type C memory stick. I want to move files from the phone to PC, and vice versa.
When I use the Nexus media importer, I just get waiting for media, am I missing something?
Does the USB have to be in a specific format?
See screenshot.

exFAT is a recommended format. It won't read NTFS as far as I know
Think there's something wrong with the memory stick itself, won't be found using the USB b end on three windows machines and a linux machine. Argh. Thanks Amazon
