Usb Type C memory stick. - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a USB type C memory stick. I want to move files from the phone to PC, and vice versa.
When I use the Nexus media importer, I just get waiting for media, am I missing something?
Does the USB have to be in a specific format?
See screenshot.

exFAT is a recommended format. It won't read NTFS as far as I know

Think there's something wrong with the memory stick itself, won't be found using the USB b end on three windows machines and a linux machine. Argh. Thanks Amazon

hm..that picture doesn't quite show a connector a flash drive
hmmm....i dont know any software, wich can manage this.
but this is an interresting feature.
with the right drive and an external power supply for it that would make a very cheap "music" drive for someone
nice idea if you can get it to work
If you mean if your mobile can read from a usb flash drive or something like that, that discussion has been here. The conclusion: windows mobile does not support usb drives and because of that it is going to be a hell of a job if it is even possible. A driver has to be written.
it require usbHost to work very few htc pdas support that
Athena does
o2 flame does (it's not htc though)
cant think of any other

nueTTY-Console is a tool to communicate with HTC-branded Windows
CE devices in bootloader mode. It uses the WinUSB library to
communicate with the device.
Personally, I enjoy this command line way better - plus its less buggy than mtty. Also, you no longer have to manually disable the USB connection! I've only tested this in vista so far, so I don't know about XP...
WARNING!!!========================================================
Some commands can damage or destroy ("brick") your device. Use at
your own risk!

Thanks for working on this. I've really despised having to use mTTY.

[Q] Remove USB notification

Is there any way to remove this annoying notification while the phone is charging? With Xposed maybe?

Thank you.
Yes, go into settings > storage, click the 3 dots on top left > USB computer connection and click the option already marked to leave none selected.
It will not be recognized by the computer anymore. You'll have to turn on again to use with computer

Thanks for the help, mate, but I meant removing the notification and still being able to transfer files.
I am root, is there something in Xposed to do this?
up

Unable to get to USB options when plugged in to transfer.

Using a Nexus 6 with the beta N preview, I am unable to get the options to work.
I have tried swiping down
The device is charging
tried multiple cables
i am in dev mode.
thoughts?
You can find USB options under developer options like in the shot attached. I personally have to disable USB Debugging to be able to access my files. Been like that for me for some reason.

V20 Mass Storage Issues

Did anyone try to connect a Flash drive of any kind to the v20?
Rooted or not when I do it nothing pops up. When I try it on my wife S7, shows the Flashdrive fine.
I tried 3 types of USB C - Mirco USB Adapter than connecting 2 types of Mirco USB to USB C Adapter
Of course a few Flash drive. Only thing I didn't try is straight USB C to Full Size USB
No luck.
