[Q] Disastrous Battery LIfe on Any CM/AOKP/ PA/ based roms

after flashing alomost all the possible roms for i9500, i noticed that any CM/AOKP/AOSP/PA roms gives very bad battery life.
i can actually see the % coming down as i use it very lightly that too.( just using gallery, File manager, SMS ,etc) :crying:
but this is not the case when i use a stock or stock based ROM. Stock gives amazing battery.
i even tried many different kernels, still no use,
is there any way i can get max battery life ( like stock) thru any of the CM/AOKP/AOSP/PA roms? if so which ROM and which kernel
cz i like the CM looks and easiness in functioning much better than stock . and i would like to use 4.4.3 or 4.4.4
Currently Running
Stock 4.4.2
KOT49H.i9500XXUFNC1 build
stock kernel
ROOTED
Baseband- i9500DDUFNA4

[Q] Note 3 stock kernel

First of all i would like to thank the community for helping everyone here!
What my current problem is :
I had installed echoe rom on my note 3 till today. Reason of unistall and back to stock was the insane draining of battery.
Anyway i installed N9005XXUENB7_N9005DBTENB2_DBT so i'm back to stock.
Q : do i have to install a custom kernel again after installing the one that provided the echoe rom ?
and if so, where can i find that kernel ?
Thank you in advance.
Did you find out? Coz I am thinking to try echoe rom and kernel.
If you install an rom you can stick with rom kernels.
If rom is custom stock you could find some good kernels. Civato, ael, etc
Note 3 rooted knox 1, my last Samsuck crap. I want freedom. Stay away from Samsuck!
Ok from what I found out is if you stick custom rom stick with stock kernel to give you the best battery life, custom kernel are for running custom script etc. I have also had Exellent battery life with custom rom and stock kernel. Try it you will be surprised also make sure the baseband modem is of your network provider so supported by network provider to get the best possible signal.

Echoe comes with ael kernel; doesn't it? If so, great kernel for battery and performance.

[Q] stock kernel and battery life

Hello, I'm about to jump from 4.3 stock I9300, to OmniROM for first time.
I will flash omni-4.4.4-20141113-i9300-NIGHTLY and wanted to ask is the stock kernel good for battery life and is ArchiKernel_V1.5.4-AOSP better?

[Q] Screen flicker

Hello, i'm currently having an issue with only customs roms for my LG G2 D802.
While I'm using the Lollipop Stock Rom (5.0.2), my home screen never flicker's, but once i use a custom one ( I've tried two, Euphoria-OS and RESURRECTIONREMIX both on 5.1.1) my home screen flicker's randomly.
I'm not sur if that's a kernel issue (Unless it's one of the common kernel customizations), since Euphoria uses the stock kernel (If i'm not mistaken ?), and tried RESURRECTIONREMIX with it's kernel and Lama Kernel but still the same issue.
I'm not sur either if it's a material problem since with stock there is no issue
I've already tried the developper's setting for the GPU but it doesn't work, I'm fed up with stock, and wanna stay on custom.
I hope someone can help me with this, since stock loves eating my battery, but custom roms love to give me better performance for less battery drain.

Regarding Rom - Stock Or Custom ?

Hi Everybody,
I`m using custom rom(s) in my S7 Edge(G935FD). After upgrading to Android N form MM, I never use Stock rom. Now I want to use the Stock N rom.
That`s why I need these informations :
1 About the performances and stabilty
2.About the battery lefe
3.Viper - working or not with stock kernel (Essential)
4. Goolge Assistance - working or not (Optional)
And obviously the suggesstions (if any) - should use the stock or stay in the custom rom ? it would be more helpful if you pls specify the build (stock),best for battery life.
BTW, my preference is stable permance with a decent battery life.
Now I`m using the custom rom (DPLT), because of some more battery. As I`ve noticed that the DQB7 is not so good for battery life. Though it has a nice battery when the device is in Idle, but it drains some more battery when the device is in use than DPLT. I`ve tried different custom kernels , but the result remains more or less the same (as I`ve noticed).
Any suggestions will be highly appretiated.
