[Q] Launch app from lock screen - Java for Android App Development

Good morning everybody from Italy. I'm training do develop an app that it can be launched from lockscreen without entering password. i don't like the existing ones like widgetlocker etc because i want that when you install my app, this can belaunched automatically from lockscreen. I don't have any ideas to make it by eclipse.

Show your app icon in a WindowManager over the lockscreen. Launch your activity when the user clicks on your floating icon.

[Q] Stock Launcher Tweaks?

First off, please do not reply with "Try Launcher Pro" or anything similar. I have the paid version of LP and like it very much, but I also like the stock Gingerbread launcher, TYVM.
After using the stock launcher since picking up my NS on launch day, the only thing I'd like to tweak is the app drawer. I'd like the ability to change the scroll inertia as I miss being able to scroll through 200+ items with one or two strong flicks when I need to. I'd also like for it to remember my last position in the app drawer.
I'm sure that somewhere inside the apk (or elsewhere) these are configurable options that could be utilized by a 3rd party tweaking app, but have been unable to find such a thing.
Thanks.
I just want to replace the phone icon with the messaging icon, since I browse and text the most. I rarely make phone calls.
You would have to pull the stock launcher source code into eclipse, edit the code, the re compile and load it onto your device.
My hunch is you'd specifically have to change onSavedInstanceState or onRestoreInstanceState (or the onPause onResume) functions of the app drawer activity to memorize the app drawer location each time It's sent to the background.
For an experience that is supposed to be about customization, not sure why Google/Android wouldn't have these features implemented in the first place -- something as simple as changing say the icons on the dock, or the settings of the app drawer.

[Q] Do not launch Launcher on boot and launch my apk instead

Hello,
I am looking for a way to mask the fact that Android is running on our embedded platform. I was hoping to get some help from someone here who would know how to run a given apk instead of the 'Launcher2.apk' on boot.
Things I do need to hide to make it as transparent as possible from boot to application launch - where no android recognizable items should be seen.
- No unlock screen
- No status bar
- No application list icons
Sounds like the ideal thing to do would be to simply not launch launcher, and launch my apk instead.
I know something like this is possable since launcher pro used to fire up the browser when it had expired. Could u create some kind of launcher to open a app (sorry not a dev so not sure weather this will work)

Just make your own launcher that doesn't show this stuff and launches what ever you want straight away.

Open a widget from a widget

So I'm trying to open a widget from a widget, here's what I'm working with. For the Harmony icons, I want to be able to tap them and have them open up another window that shows all the activities that are on that hub, with a different icon for the current activity. I can't seem to find a way to open another widget from tapping on one of them, is it possible? I've also played with trying to set up a Tasker Scene, but it doesn't seem like I can change icons in there. Thoughts?

You might want to look into Elixir2 Widget and Overlays.

Shortcut on EPD?

Hi there,
does anybody know if it is possible to set a shortcut for a website on the EPD screen?
There is a widget where i can select apps from a list.
But i just want to set a shortcut for a website like Dropbox or Newspapers so that i can select it directly on the EPD.
thx
The answer isn't straightforward, essentially what you're looking for is a pointer to website, but in the apps drawer so you can pick it up from the EPD's app launcher menu. Android doesn't do that natively, and a typical shortcut application would only allow shortcut on home screen.
A rather intriguing method would be to create shortcuts with Tasker and then install them as app. Definitely worth a shot. Someone might have a better answer though.
It is not that easy as i thought.
There is an App called Yotabelt, which should allow this, but no chance. It does not open anything.
So, i guess, i'll have to find a way to get a shortcut into the apps list.

home up for Good lock

New app for samsung Good Lock
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...lease/home-up-1-0-00-19-android-apk-download/
The only way to use it is through quick Shortcut maker
A nice add to the family
Update : nicelock update include Home up , fine lock not yet
I wrote an email to the developer of FineLock a few hours ago and he was very very quick to respond and incorporate Home UP into the application. Also there's no need for an app update through the play store as it was a server side update. If you don't see Home UP clear cache of FineLock, remove app from recents screen and open it TWICE (open, close, swipe, open).
It's a nice addition as i love the background blur adjuster option in the app drawer and the folder name suggestions.
i just updated from android 10 till 11. installed home up.
when entering home up then task changer. slim list view is missing. how can i get it back guys?
