i have the g2 d802 variant, rooted and with cwm installed.
last night received the ota, clicked yes before reading it and now the phone is is stuck in cwm.
i can only boot to cwm. no download mode, no fastboot and no system.
lg mobile support tool isn't recognizing the phone either.
after reading a while i wanted to try the adb method. my win7 pc can't recognize the phone. it's listing it under usb devices, lg-d802 but with a triangle.
someone in the forum mentioned that he was able to get the adb to work after formatting every possible partition in the mount/storage. so i did the same but no luck.
i tried all sorts of drivers i found in the forum, i tried almost every possible way posted online but still no luck.
i also can't mount usb to push a new rom to flash or a new recovery.
so im stuck with a formatted phone that only goes to recovery and apparently no adb.
can anyone figure out how to fix this?

hey guys, i just bricked my zte blade (which i wanted to give to my father ), and i have no clue how to unbrick, or if it even is possible...
had it converted from gen1=>gen2 for the last rom i used to have (swedishsnow something) and wanted to restore it to stock rom via cwm, but after that i got looped at the big green android figure and it won't let itself get into cwm recovery with the button combinations.
now I'm stuck there, i even dl the zte firmware flasher but even there (it won't be recognized in windows7 but i installed all the drivers, the only thing it gets connected is via ADB interface - usb modem phone adb port) is no way to install/flash another rom/kernel what so ever ...
I even now downloaded adt bundle sdk for android to maybe connect with the terminal emulator?
I have no more clues on how to solve this mobile phone
Try the gen1 -> gen2 tpt again. It'll reinstall clockworkmod. Then install a gen2 rom, rather than trying to go back to stock.
fixed it with the fastboot method, thnx ^^
Hey everyone I'm quite new to android, and I'm currently stuck in Download Mode after trying and failing to install Twrp
I was previously Rooted, tried to install Twrp via Autorec, however when I ran the app it soft-bricked my phone and put me into Fastboot mode.
I followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2476972 method, and got back to Download Mode.
I am currently in the middle of returning to stock through http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2432476 using the .TOT method.
I'm fairly close to repairing it but my only issue is that I cannot get my computer to recognize my phone. Neither in Device management nor adb devices anymore.
Therefore I cannot change the port to COM 41 to flash the .TOT file.
I constantly tried installing drivers for the phone both 3.10 and 3.08 but still no recognition can anybody help?
Some more info about the phone:
it's the D801 variant but its on Wind (Canada) not T-mobile
it was previously Rooted
it did not have any recovery software installed
no roms had been flashed previously.

Try to restore your phone using the official LGMobile Support Tool. Just switch on normally the phone, plug it to your PC and wait for your kdz to be downloaded. Once it done, it should install the kdz by itself. Then factory reset your phone (if needed) as it should ask you some pin/password.
Hope it'll help you as it did for me!
Okay, maybe starting a new thread isnt the best option, so sorry, but i really have no other option, i have surfed through the forums to no avail.
My friends G2 (D802 32GB) arrived with stock firmware V20B, and there were some problems, so i tried updating it to V20D Using the following kdz method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
But i had rooted the phone on V20B (and im assuming thats why ) I lost download mode and recovery mode, when attempting to go to download mode, it goes to fastboot mode, so i used the following method to reflash the download mode
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595
I succesfully did revive the download mode, and attempted flashing through kdz again, resulting in being able to go to recovery and download mode (The download mode said rooted, i dont know why, shouldnt reflashing remove root? (CSE flashing)). But the phone was stuck on the Lg logo, so then i attemted the tot method, in which the update fails, something to do with Fota, i couldnt get it to work, so then i tried Flashing the V10B(Which was stupid of me) through the kdz method, and then, after flashing, the recovery was there (it was a bit different than the one after flashing V20D), but then, Its stuck at download mode, the download mode keeps loading forever, and also, no drivers are detected by the pc. (However, connecting normally gives USB composite device ) and i dont know how to proceed. I did my research and found nothing that helps me, im scared that the phone is already beyond repair, so yeah, i would really appreciate your help
As you can see, im a bit of a noob, so excuse my ignorance.
Isnt there anyway i could force fastboot mode?? or maybe some how use adb? The stock recovery is accessible, is there anything i could do?? maybe install a custom rom somehow or something??
Again, sorry, I just hope the phone can be unbricked :|
Thanks
Hi Guys,
I brought my LG G2 D802 32GB last week and I believe it's possibly hard bricked if not soft bricked so let me start by saying that anyone who can help me get my brand new G2 working will be receiving some beer money!
I've owned over 15 android devices over the years and i'd say i'm a competent flasher but I've never had such a problem flashing any of those devices as I have on the G2!
So here's what I did:
1) Updated Phone to 4.4.2 and rotted using IOroot method (Root was successful)
2) Install LG USB Drivers
3) Flashed CWM 6.0.4.4 (Flashed successful and CWM was working fine with Root access on ROM)
I then decided to put TWRP as the recovery because after much research it seemed to be the most popular choice.
4) Downloaded D802_AutoRec.apk (I believe this was the correct recovery for my device)??
here's what happened:
After using AutoRec to flash TWRP recovery I rebooted and the phone displayed:
450 Fastboot mode started
500 udc_started()
Plugging in the USB cable then adds the following lines:
660 -reset-
670 -portchange-
740 fastboot; processing commands
Note that Download mode WAS available at this point.
I then tried flashing CWM recovery again through fastboot which showed as successful but still stuck in fastboot after rebooting. The same happened for TWRP.
I then went to the LG website, put in my IMEI number and downloaded the stock ROM (D80220C_00). I used the G2 extractor to extract the kdz to a DZ file then extracted the aboot/boot & laf.img. Since I did this I have lost download mode!
It's interesting to note that fastboot shows attached device as:
? fastboot
and ADB shows no attached devices.
I'm not sure this is relevant as I still seem to be able to push commands to the phone through fastboot?
I then tried to flash the stock ROM (D80220C_00) using LG Flash Tool however it gets to 27% and says "cannot connect to the phone
So as it stands at the moment all I have is the option to flash using fastboot, I have no download mode, no recovery or no working ROM. Have I completely bricked my phone or is there anything else I can try to get the stock ROM back on there?
Any help is massively appreciated!
Hello!

Hello everyone,
by mistake i deleted the OS on my LG G6, i tried to reinstall a new OS from TRWP, but i ended up getting a bunch of errors (the phone failed mounting /data and /storage). I tried to fix that by changing filesystem, but the phone got stuck in the middle of the process.
After a reboot, i find myself stuck at the recovery boot screen. Since the OS is no more, i can't even enable the USB Debug option to use adb commands.
Is there no hope for my phone? What should i do? Thank you in advance! (Sorry for my poor english!)

There is no problem just flash stock rom using LG UP
if u had a problem just ask
Or download a Stock ROM and flash it with TWRP.
Put in download mode and flash KDZ file with LGUP
or
Boot into fasboot mode and use CMD or terminal to flash twrp
or
same as above and use all-in-one tool to flash recovery etc.
Loads of ways to fix this issue
