Gamma settings. - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
Since I can't load color profile in the FKU for some reason, I guess I need to check it manually.
I saw that the phoneix gamma profile are really good but I can't find it anywhere.
Help please?

looking for info on the stock N10 governors and system settings

Hello!
EDIT: I've done more tinkering and need to update this question/post.
A couple super noob-questions...
-Does anyone know the default governor settings for the Nexus 10? Using 3c System Tuner I see I can adjust the governor and screen-off governor. In these adjustments there is a 'no change' setting. If I just put it back to that and reboot am I back to the original governor settings, or does it remain changed to the last selection I had?
UPDATE: Looks like the default is 'interactive', could anyone confirm that?
-Again I'll be using 3c System Tuner. I have not adjusted any of the SysCtrl settings. Does anyone know the stock SysCtrl for the Nexus 10, or how I would 'reset to default'?
UPDATE: I worked on adjusting them which then reveals a functional 'Reset' which I assume is back to the devices defaults, could anyone confirm that?
Thanks XDA!!

Stock is Ondemand, and Sysctl.conf doesn't exist on the stock OTA so you can delete the file.

Thank you!
So actually it looks like the only choices shown are 'userspace' , 'interactive' , and 'performance'. Interactive seems to be the default.
I cranked it up to Performance and it does not seem to drain the battery much more at all. UI feels "zippy" now It did not feel slow at all before, but seems tubo now.

I wouldn't leave it on Performance that means it will be at 1700Mhz the whole time, it WILL eat your battery.
Check this thread out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369817
One very effective tweak for the Interactive governor is to lower the figure for "go_hispead_load", it will be set to 90 or 95 by default and lowering it to 85 or 80 will improve responsiveness.
edit
You will need Trickster mod to do this, it's available at Play store.

[Q] Permanetly Change Gamma settings

Trying to find out is it possible to permanently change the gamma settings. I have franco kernel installed and i'm using the recommended color settings. But sometimes when my phone reboots the screen colors are washed out again. Is there a way that i can edited a file ( and/or move my saved franco color profile) to the system root? Any suggestions guys.

I don't understand what the problem is. After rebooting, the color profile you have selected in the app will load automatically. You just have to give it some time (approx. 10 seconds after boot). If you're running Android 4.3, you must turn the screen off and on after boot to apply the change of gamma values.

Thanks for the advice, ill tried it a few times and see if it work. If anything ill update.

Gamma change?

Is there any possible way to adjust screen gamma with just root? I remember on my gnex I needed a custom kernel to do it, but I'm hoping there's a way to do it without changing the kernel.
TIA!

You would need a custom kernel.
:'( I can live with it for now - the "dynamic" setting is the best I'm going to get I guess.
It's really surprising to me that no smartphone or even tablet displays (that I know of) have contrast/gamma/hue/etc settings... ???

[Q] Can you alter the color temperature with a custom kernel

Hi all,
I don't own an S5 as yet so I can't test this myself. I've been looking around and noticed a custom kernel mention an option for LCD Color Control. I am wondering, does this mean you will be able to alter the color temperature (white balance) of the screen? The kernel where I've seen this is [KERNEL][GPL][3.4.91+][SM4.10]Blaze™ Kernel -15. Are there any other kernels which allow color control?
Thanks.

Theres also built in applications that allow you to alter the screens appearance. (Try looking in the Display settings)
Thanks guys,
I was aware of the in-built display settings but I wanted something that allowed finer control.
Ok, I've got my S5. I'm going to give the LCD color a try soon. I was just wondering if anyone has actually tried this and altered the white balance? I find the whites a bit too yellow.

Solved: High brightness mode getting disabled in Ex Kernel manager... on Frankenclark

I have flashed Frankenclark kernel then dled Ex kernel manager.
I don't know what to tweak in this kernel.
When i enable High brightness mode it enables but sometime after when i open it is Disabled... let me know if its not supported or i have to check something to get it permanently enabled.
Also i want to increase blue tint little bit but i am not getting proper settings in advanced color control.
Somebody please let me know how to use the settings and tweaks

It turns off when you turn off the screen. It's shouldn't be on all the time, it's way too bright. Check out the widget in my signature if you really want it to stay on all the time.

It got fixed now and is enabled and working even after reboot, i just ticked on right icon and reboot... loving it so much now and screen is looking more awesome and brighter than before and i don't even have to set it to 50%... its on 30% now and is way better than many other screens.
If i even increased it to 50% for movies and games it looks perfect awesome :good:
Anyway thanks for the reply.
