A happy new year to all.
There were months when I'm reading, my confusion is almost total. I ask for help to you experts to help me solve this problem.
My s4 has i9505 imei NULL, I can not do any updates, ODIN does not recognize him, with cable UART does not work * # 7284 #, * the black page # 9090 #.
I think it happened a problem with the EFS folder.
I ask if it is possible, as a guide to prepare the phone, if there are folders EFS generic, how to upload to phone, etc..
Please help me, sorry for my English translated. Rolli17

Hi.
When i got my i9500 i tried rooting it with a guide i found. It didn't work and i ended up flashing the phone with a stock rom, and re rooting with an updated and working guide.
Rom manager says i have two custom recoveries installed but when i try to boot into a custom recovery (CWM) it will not boot, instead it is booting straight to stock recovery. I think they may not have been removed when i flashed the stock rom.
Could someone please help by giving me instructions on how to get it working again.
Thanks for you help

Just Switch off your phone & Then press Power On+Volume up+menu button. You will go to recovery.
In the post i said that it will not boot into any of the custom recoverys that i have. Is there a way to remove them?

Hi i just get one new SGH-I337M from Telcel im intersting in the lates google edition rom after looking in the forums I saw two post with this roms (iB4STiD and yeahmann), but a friend of mine gave a link in which they install a "I9505-GoogleEdition4.3" on a I337M, after this, the new model is GT-I9505G in the device info (videotutorial), so my question: is it recommended to install this rom even in a different model??? because in all the post they say use only with certain model cheers!

to be safe i would use the one for your phone model.
well after waiting for someome to answer my question i found the thread, the room is from jamal2367:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341794
so i guess its possible to install this roms without problems
Also i found on the web a user name dli7319 answer the question ¿Any GS4 can be turned into a Google Play Edition? he said:
yes, the i337 and m919 have the same board and are based off of the i9505, however you will need to use a kernel specific to your device.
He is in thesame context, using rom from a I9505G for a I337M
This is the one, works excelent!!

Well after install a proper 4.3 ver in my phone it turns that the model nsme and number chante to 9505
Definitely one of the best in my opinion! I'm using VirginROM right now and it's working flawlessly.

Sounds like a router/service provider issue and not the phone. Try rebooting your router.

Are your IMEI and serial # intact?
Do you have a backup of your EFS folder?
Are your APN setting correct?

If you have a custom recovery, the easiest way is within it. You save like any other nandroid but only save the efs partition not anything else. Typically the efs partition is not saved and you'll have to manually check it in recovery and uncheck the other partitions.

When you go into twrp, backup you should normally see boot, data, and system checked. Uncheck those and check efs. Then save the backup with a name you'll remember. If you ever need it you'd need to have a Rom installed and you'd then go into twrp and restore that nandroid.

What is the best way to recover system files on a rooted Galaxy S4 running MK2 android 4.3? I had corrupted or deleted some system files on an accident and now its not functioning correctly. Keep getting process errors. Restoring backups don't help either. Please help!!!

Thanks, that was helpful! Why don't you just ignore my question if you have no answer?:cyclops:
Seriously you'll find your answer if you search. Noone here HAS to help you. There are plenty of forums on here that list what baseband versions have what type of recoveries. It's not that difficult they're all over the Q&A or general. But to answer your questions it's safestrap. That's the only recovery you can have.

If you've deleted system files your going to have to use odin and start all over.

You have to reinstall Official lollipop
If you flash and custom rom that make EFS Backup automatically, for example Ozcan ROM, you have to search a folder with this name "efs_Backup" in your "internal memory"
If you have this folder and backup
Make this instruction for downgrade to Kitkat: Here
But if i go to lollipop also still my imei and Baseband will be unknown !!

No it's not so. Revert back to Lollipop and your baseband, imei will be recovered.
I have already experienced this, have been jumping between Kitkat and Lollipop since a week because of the same problem, I guess Lollipop has updated the EFS which makes Kitkat unable to read it properly.
Hope this helped you!
Unknown imei = go to lollipop, null, generic etc need a efs backup, however you can go to a mobile shop with a octopus box or something like that.
