I just got this phone and haven't played with development yet. But I assume it works like on the S4. Editing your build.prop to match the model variant you want the icons from works.

It works, Look for your build.prop file.../ system/build.prop; I used Root Explorer, Select the "Mount R/W" button at the top. The "r/o" to the left of the button should change to "r/w" and Long press build.prop and "Open in Text Editor", and I followed the directions below outlined; good to go. The key is to ensure you are not in read only while editing or it will not take...

I was unable to find this line (ro.build.target_operator) in the build prop in both my G2 and mi GF's G2...

Yep... it was set to TMO, and T Mobile has a pretty sweet 4G LTE icon, but no dice, same dull 4G icon remained, even after changin it to ATT

I remember google said that gb was supposed to have a native videocall feature....hopefully they do it up like how microsoft and nokia did it in WM and symbian. By giving you the option right there while the phones ringing! Not having to launch an app that you can only use if they so happened to download it aswell.
Also, do you think ics will allow ffc's to record video? ****s stupid that its only good at admiring yourself. Vids would add a lot more possibilities. Like burning some grandaddy and then making a video of pointless rants just cuz you could lol

thats actually an amazing mod you think if we push that to our epics...itll work? i mean it is just an .apk...so should be able to sideload it normally...it would just prolly FC when we try 1080p

I've been using it for a week-ish now. It's fine, audio from video is more crisp and picture difference idk. But you can record with the ffc.

I flashed it when I was running Hurricane fatfree v1.4/1.5 I haven't done 1.6 yet because I'm calibrating my battery.

Actually the one I unziipped is just the apk in the .rar and can't be flashed. I appreciate your response but unless you can help no input from you is appreciated more.

I love to see new development weather its a generic phone consolidation or not but hopefuly the other people testing this can confirm they nave 99% working custom rom and radio. Personally, im at 100% <3 my tbolt. Downloading now to try it.

Yes, the main screen is exactly the same. Can't get past that, it force closes upon choosing any one of the choices. I trying reinstalling app, restarting, nothing works.

if you have rom toolbox pro it also has an ad blocker...go in it and select unblock ads. if u dont have rom toolbox pro, then im stumped too.

You should probably make one for stock 4.2.1 while you're at it (H or H+ to 4g). A lot of people are asking for this. Might as well make a thread in themes and apps for it.

I also need someone who is on stock to pull the SystemUI.apk. The easiest way is to do it using adb: adb pull system/app/SystemUI.apk

Here's the H-4G mod for people who are on stock: Stock H-to-4G mod
Just add it to system/app, change permissions to r-w-r-r and reboot. Let me know if it works. I still need the SystemUI for the latest PA and an LTE logo. I thought there was one already included in the SystemUI.apk.
To mod the SystemUI.apk yourself you have to copy the logo you want to replace the signal with to your desktop (that's where I put it, you can put it somewhere else). After you do that, open up the "drawable-sw600dp-xhdpi", find the icon of the H or H+ (depends what ROM you're on), change the name of the 4G logo on your desktop to match the one in the folder, and replace it. Do the same thing for "drawable-sw720dp-xhdpi" and "drawable-xhdpi". That's it!
OP, how's this for an LTE icon? I don't have a Nexus 4 (One X), but I just looked inside the SystemUI posted above and the icons are the same resolution. I created it myself.

Currently I'm on network Three in UK. My LG G2 is sim-free. As you know Three started to provide free 4g service. But the thing is in the settings menu there is no option to chose 4g connection , only GSM and 3G. I should get 4g service because I live in London and 4g works here since December. My software version is D80210f-EUR-XX. First time then I turned on the device I got a small app update which is called LteConfigs , but nothing happened after.

Try this one: type this code *#*#4636#*#* and then take first option and scroll down and then you can select only 4g. Maybe this works.

Are you sure the three 4g roll-out has reached your area? I'm on the same software version and can choose LTE in the settings menu.
Try putting a Voda/EE sim in and then check.

See this thread. Unlikely you will see any LTE stuff on your G2 yet from all accounts but in reality what speedtest are you getting? From deepest darkest Berkshire I am getting OK results for 3G

I had this same issue. It turns out my phone was from Asia. Accessing the service menu does indeed enable it but only until you reboot your phone.
The only cure I found was to flash a UK stock rom. Very easy to do and now I have 4g everywhere I go (well almost) :good:

I'm on Three. I bought an international D802 LG G2 from ebay. It had an d80220a-ame rom on it. Three didn't recognise it and LTE was not an option. So I reflashed with the Open EUR ROM using this method and it worked fine
