Anyone tried BAM ROM D800? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm curious as to if, anyone has tried the BAM ROM 2.0? They just uploaded the 20140101 Build and I am using PA now. I ask for feedback because I was unable to locate a thread on the LG G2 forums for them as of yet. Also, the file size is 333MB so was thinking maybe they included their own GAPPS package with it. Anyways here is the link

I just flashed and to get it to boot properly, you need to install Aysir's PAEK kernel after flashing the ROM. And don't flash GAPPS. Looking in to SuperSU at the moment. Looks like I need to flash that as well. All in all, it looks good so far.

Member, Due to this ROM being Ban from XDA, I have edited your posts; why you might ask....the maker of this ROM, felt the need NOT to comply with XDA policy on ROM's and hence his banning to include his Work....so please do not post any bam/jellybam etc.

ClockworkMod Recovery and Modaco's "Paul's Rom

Has anybody TRY flashing Modaco's "Paul's Rom" after ClockworkMod Recovery ? Do we have a green light to do so, or should we wait for further instructions ?
Thank you all.
I am not sure if this is safe yet since it is a different region. Wait until someone confirms though.

Where is there a Vibrant forum? I only see a Galaxy S one on his site.

i don't really remember where he posted it,
but i downloaded it and am gonna try it..
i'll look and see if i can figure out where it was
This is a holding topic for discussion of ROM compatability with the Samsung Vibrant / Captivate devices (Galaxy S variants).
I don't see any major reason why ROMs wouldn't be compatible, but I guess we'll find out soon enough. I may look into picking up a Vibrant so I can test future ROM releases on it.
Anyone have anything to add?

Seems kinda like the one from MS_guru.. except a little more stable
i haven't been getting all the random reboots that are on ms_gurus, it still is buggy when you plug it into the computer (goes to the MTP Application.. ugh), wifi is working well (except rom manager still won't let me flash recovery through there because it says the wifi isn't stable enough or something), its pretty fast but i'd rather a stock rom than this
i noticed on that page i linked you guys to that they had a link for a download to a stockrom2.1.zip.. i'm going to test that one out as well
I am at work waiting for the word that its a go cause this stock build is killing me! Keep us posted!

one of the links provided has a thread where someone flashed this on a Vibrant and it stuck on boot.
Looks like Ryanolson7 has already gotten past that issue.. should work but I too will wait to hear
Made a backup in the mean while using nandroid and bought the premium version of Rom Manager to support Koush.

If you have Recovery installed "update.zip" you don't have keep going back to rom manager and worry about "wi-fi" issues any more because is already installed in your system, just download quick boot from the market, allow su permision, reboot in recovery click reinstall packages and in 1 second you there...
The stock rom on that site is MS_gurus, not the real tmobile stock

well that was a .zip of pauls rom that was themed as stock android.. i got the other one to boot called 'GalaxysDeodexed'.. still isn't stock quality though
do you guys know if we can flash his nandroid to our phones so we can have stock? if so, rsface, you should upload your nandroid somewhere and link us to it.. if you're willing to.. because the 'stock' roms out there are crap.. not even close to stock.

How to install a ROM

Hello. I'll probably get shouted at for missing some FAQ somewhere, however, I am trying to flash my ROM on my phone.
I have rooted it, and I have downloaded the ROM, however, the instructions tell me I should use ClockWorkROM to install it, but on Google Play it tells me it is incompatible with my phone. Its a Gen1 San Francisco.
Can someone point me in the direction of a ROM installer that I can use?
Thanks, Chris
Having just posted that, I installed TFT software and that managed to download and install a new ROM (I think)

The wiki, under recovery, tells you how to install ClockworkMod Recovery. And has other useful info, worth a look
This is the development section. Please post all questions in the general section. Thanks! Thread moved.

[Q] Nexus 4 4.3 Factory Image with openpdroid

Hi all,
This is probably my first post so before I go ahead I'd like to thank all developers on this site. It's got a wealth of information that helped me a lot.
Unfortunatey I haven't found a way to do this yet, so I'm posting and asking for help with this issue I'm having...
I used to run CM10.1 on my Nexus 4, I always patched that rom with autopatcher to apply openpdroid so I could set privacy stuff using the Pdroid Manager app.
I decided to go back to the stock rom due to issues I was having (my phone actually got bricked and I managed to fix it following excellent instructions that I found here).
Now I can't apply the openpdroid patch to the stock ROM because autopatcher only accepts zip files and I'm sure that it needs the structure of the ROM.zip to work. The Google factory image is a ROM.tgz file and upon extracting a zip and the factory image, I noticed that the structure is completely different. I have no idea how to create a zip file out of the stock rom.
I'm wondering if anybody could do this? I'm not sure if autopatcher requires deodexing... All I need is a stock 4.3 mako image in the form of a zip file that works like the CM roms, so I can patch it with openpdroid via autopatcher.
Is this possible? Could someone here do it, please?
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
Thanks all for reading!
Welcome to the great xda-developers forums
Well you should search the Forum with the forum search for a tutorial to zipalign your stock rom, there are many out there i think.
I think i even saw a rom kitchen for that.
That thread belongs to Q&A by the way

Thank you, as you can see I'm new here I tried to search for something but I'm not sure if I was using the right terms, so I decided to ask. I didn't even know about this zipalign or rom kitchen stuff, but now that you mentioned it I will research. Thanks!

Just my opinion but I think it would be better to find a stock, 4.3 deodex ROM in a flashable zip. I'm dead sure there's a few floating around in android or original android development. That would make it easier to patch
Edit: this should do, stock 4.3 zip:

set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-11-2014-05-28-EXPERIMENTAL-totoro.zip

you need to use the correct cwm recovery v6.x
for that you need the new kernel
But I dont know why you want to - its for devs only - its experimental - has a high risk of bricking your phone - and nothing on cm11 works yet other than it boots
If you are a dev and want to develop all the details are on the cm11 thread in the dev section but I repeat - unless you are a dev please dont not post there or flash anything on your device

Thanks and yes I know. I like to try out the newest things, I'm not in any major need of my phone for a while so I can do whateva.
Could you link me to the new CWM Recov. and the Kernel?
Unfortunately the devs are not in favour of releasing these things as yet. -CALIBAN666- and marcussmith2626 had put up links and attachments for the files but have since taken them down at bieltv.3's request.
Try and understand, they as devs do not want to hard brick your phone with their work.
Until we get a beta, don't even try.

their website is

Its a public website that is freely available via a google search so there is no permission required to post a link to it
Since it contains no advertising or is used for commercial profit to make money from xda users me posting it here does not violate xda rules

I recommend you go to their Google+ page, they do not want any of their roms discussed or passed along on XDA any longer.
Below is a link in case you can not Google it, read carefully before adding questions. I would recommend the 10.5 Official as their most stable, the 11 has been released but has a few things to still work out. If you try the 11 stays with Dynamic gapps, if you go with the MM version Open is fine.
MOD EDIT: removed external link

No, they do not and they clearly state this. XDA is no longer what it once was and many Dev's have drifted away from here.

Sorry, no I do not know of any details, just that they are done dealing with XDA.
While not sure if this happened to DU but I do know that for awhile mods and admins here in some areas were allowing people to take credit for work they did not do with no repercussions. A number of Devs got very angry when little jerks were taking their work and renaming Roms and using tools they had built without giving credit. This blew up into a big tiff and a number of very good devs left XDA and even some major project players like DU left and have not been back. I have no idea why this was allowed to transpire but it was ugly for about a year. I suspect there were other behind the scenes issues that I as a non dev was not aware of as well.
