It's just a warning message,so just simply ignore it since there's not gonna be any problem at all..however the solution would be to flash a stock rom or kernel

Downloading since 1:39pm - 13:29 this is crazy 1,5GB with a 12MBit Cabel Line.
Question:
What will this file do for my Handy?
What does it replace, not that it matters but I am interested,
and does it set Knox back to 0x0? or does it stay at 0x1?
Thx

Its a clean stock rom. Just like the first time you bought it . No root and such. And about the knox you cant do anything about it if you already void it ,unless someone figure it out how to reset it. If you wanna know about knox visit this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447832
Sent from my Phone.

2Hours left, 36~51kb download rate.
Nice, Back to the Root 4.3
then as soon as I can - Root, Repulsa do you like TWRP 2.6.3.0 ? & RoM
Then I'll be happy

Thanks for the reply, Hiten. I got the rooting done from someone else so I guess I should show him your message and ask him to do the needful. Will recover first and then redo the rooting process using the CF method as you suggested... BTW, can you recommend me some must have/fun tweaks after the device is rooted ? Can we add more gestures or something unique ? Thanks once again.. Cheers!

Note flashing the above needs a Recovery u can use philz recovery to flash it

Note 3 softbricked ! Totally depressed ;( .

[EDIT] : softbrick has been fixed but now I have Baseband UNKNOWN and IMEI NULL
currently on stock 4.4.2 Poland.
So I have a SM-9005 note 3. Just recently bought it. Came with 4.3 stock. I decided to jump on the custom rom bandwagon (for which I feel like killing myself). Anyways it shows the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue screen" .
Here is what I did:
1) rooted the stock 4.3
2) tried installing CWM which probably tripped my knox and now I have 0x01
3) I wanted to install the X-NOTE 4.4.2 build rom
4) Came to know that official 4.4.2 update is required to use Xnote 4.4.2 rom
5) Followed this thread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2608178
6) Tried to flash the stock poland 4.4.2 fw using odin .
7) Got -> invalid exr4 image !!
Now , I'm not sure if the bootloader has been updated to 4.4.2 . I think I screwed up after this:
Managed to get CWM Recovery running. I tried to flash the X-Note 4.4.2 zip thinking that the bootloader may have updated to 4.4.2 in the previous failed flash. The process stopped half-way and I got back the CWM recovery scree. So it did not work.
Now the odin mode shows the following:
PRODUCT NAME : SM-N9005
CURRENT BINARY : Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK : OFF
KNOX KERNEL LOCK : 0X0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID : 0X1
I can access CWM recovery. I have no idea how to proceed . Please help :crying: . Currently I'm downloading the X-Note jellybean version. Will try to flash that via recovery . Will that be fine

You can certainly try it, it's actually very difficult to hard brick any device.
Soft-bricked my ex-device (a S4) so many times I can't count them anymore. You've got Odin, so worry not!
My advice: go back to full stock 4.3, update like a normal person would to 4.4, then do like a normal XDA member and root it, and go from there.

Well, if you bought it in Hong Kong, it might give you a clue.
Anyway, is your device a 32 GB varient?
Also, is CM working fine?
What bootloader do you have?
Take a look at my post from a few days ago, it should fix it.
edit/ Just noticed there is new version out, so you can try that one.

Phone Info app from Samsung tells me that the device is Made in China.
Bootloader Version: N9005ZHUDMK1
Baseband Version : N9005ZHUDMJ9
Original CSC Code: XSI
CM11 is working without any problems so far. Google apps and downloading also works.
My device is the 32gigs version.
Also one more thing : i totally do not understand why X-NOTE 4.4.2 kitkat version is not starting up. I'm stuck on the samsung logo screen after installing the ROM from CWM recovery. Also, only the JellyBean version of CWM works and not the KitKat version. Does it have something to do with it. Anyways I installed TWRP but still failed to boot up X-Note 4.4.2 version. I am so badly missing the Touch Wiz features ... :crying:
X-Note Jelly Bean works !! I confer that my Bootloader is still 4.3 . Now how do I go about upgrading safely to Kitkat ? I have the Hong Kong version I think .

The ZH baseband is from Hong Kong only.
And MK1 is Jellybean.
At which step do you get the invalid ext4 image error while following my instructions?

Same problem with me.I have the same korean varient with LG u+ logo. I am using it in Pakistan. Read almost every thread regarding korean variants but there is'nt any method specific for SM-N900L.
So are you wanting to flash a custom recovery e.g. twrp and then install a custom rom?
Sorry if I misunderstood your question.

Hello Hokage-Sama,
i think the custom recovery installed is TWRP
did some further searching online and i was able to restore the firmware from lollipop down to kitkat, from there i was able to download a md5 file which i ran from Odin and i was able to root the phone however, its based on kitkat and im still searching if there are any for lollipop and the only one i see if the 1 poser who asks for a $25 payment to update a N900L to N9005.
... was hoping if i can use Aryamod custom rom but i think my phone should be on a rooted lollipop under N9005 model only.
hope this made sense
thank you
Root is not required to install a custom rom.
If your phone can run 9005 ROMs, you could try editing the updater script to include your phone.

hi, thanks for the reply
apologies i dont know what you meant to edit hte updater script.
Sorry i have a N900L and based on reading some other threads only
DarkLord Note 5 RC2.1 or Phronesis v5.1 will work on my unit.
before installing the rom i should have a custom recovery right? but to get a custom recovery my bootloader needs to be unlocked first.
i am currently stuck on unlocking my bootloader, i downloaded samsung usb drivers, go to recovery mode, then insert the usb on the phone, i hear a sound when you connect a device on the pc and saying that the device is ready to use but i am unable to see the contents of my phone.
am i doing it correctly?
thank you once again
Are you sure the phone's bootloader is locked? If the bootloader is not locked, do not use any unlocking apps because this will proably brick the phone.
Just install TWRP from Odin. I don't recommend Philz Touch or CWM as I don't they have been updated for a while.

i tried the twrp custom recovery based on the link you sent above thru Odin, it messed up my custom recovery, when i tried to go there it said something like unable to load recovery and goes to download mode and the phone wont startup normally.
is that a sign that my bootloader is locked since i cant install the custom recovery?
used my standard backup recovery to bring back the phone.
i wonder how other SM-N900L users installed their roms.
any other help would be greatly appreciated
thanks a lot
When you flashed twrp, did Odin say the installation was successful?
Download the tar version of twrp for your device from here: twrp.me .
In Odin, do not check anything except f.reset time. Flash twrp and, when you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, wait 5 seconds, replace battery, now use button combination to boot into recovery.
thanks for the help, was finally able to install twrp custom recovery. the latest version wont work on SM-N900L, i used TWRP-2.8.6.0-N900S version and it worked! im now running on Darklord N5 custom rom for Note3 and loving it!!!

[Q] Can i flash stock ROM? Lollipop update

Hi,
was realesed in Portugal the first Android 5.0 Lollipop rom Portugal (Vodafone) (TCL) for the model SM-G900F with the PDA G900FXXU1BNL9.
Can I flash this stock rom on my phone ?
If not can I flash other stock ROMs?
Will this trip the Knox flash to 0x1?
How can i flash it?
This are my phone references:

But wich stock ROM are sutible for my phone?
I am a newbie, i dont really underatand much..
Can you point any tutorials por somethings here i can learn how to do it please?
In this thread it says:
" Even if you flash a KNOX-enabled firmware via odin (e.g. the latest fw) knox will be set to 0x1"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2595889
What should i belive?
You should not flash anything yet, you should spend a few days reading threads from the beginning until you understand exactly what to do
All the info you need has been posted in many threads here, start reading until you know exactly what you're doing, and you understand the difference between a KNOX enabled ROM and a stock ROM

Thats exactly what i am doing bit i AM going crazy because some people say that flash ROMs with Odin activate the knox flag, and others say the oposit. So i dont really know what to belive ir what to do
Flash custom ROM / Recovery = KNOX 0x1
Flash stock = KNOX 0x0
I sucessfully installed Lollipop on my Galaxy S5! I installed the Spain no carrier version!
Just one more question, when the ROM that my phone came with gets out, should I install her or not?
Can i replace one rom for another?

[Q] Can you guys help? Need some advice.

Hey guys,
maybe you guys can help me.
I'm coming from my Nexus 5 to Note 3 (because of the bigger screen). I've always been satisfied with my N5 that was rooted, custom faux123 kernal and some xposed framework modules. Didn't see any need to flash any ROM. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong somewhere.
I would like to have a similar setup except the Samsung bloatware :crying: Here are my
Requirements
- Should be based on KitKat, because I want as Xposed, but Android L still has some bugs/problems with Lollipop on Samsung devices. I'd liked to sit out those bugs, because I use my device as a daily driver and should be stable!
- Don't really want to use TouchWiz, just Nova Launcher, but still have S-Pen features in place.
- To have all S-Pen feature available e.g. Multiwindow (extra karma points for Note 4 S-Pen feature)
- Custom kernel for battery saving modes (faux-based kernel would be great)
Questions
- If you do recommend going down the route of a custom ROM, which of these ROM's would you recommend in terms of stability and requirements I have? X-Note vs Tweaked S5 BASE / N4 STYLE vs Echoe Rom
- What are roughly the differences between these 3 ROM's without looking at all the 100s of features (e.g. ROM A is more for overclocking and ROM B more of productivity etc.)?
- What is currently the best rooting method for the Note 3? If you do NOT recommend a custom ROM for me, is there a root that keeps my warranty in place? This is not so important to me, but I can keep it in place, that would be nice. (I'm aware that flashing ROM will void the warranty )
- Which kernel is "better"? Ultimate Kernel or AEL Kernel in terms of being lag-free, smooth, fast and adding features like sound quality improvement, thermal manager etc.? Note: I will not be overclocking my device at all and I don't game either.
- And which kernel management app do you recommend? I currently use the faux app on my N5. Could I continue to use that with other kernels?
Find my device details for reference as I know these are sometimes important.

Personally I love X-Note and MultiX as these 2 are multidpi roms. Of course they're not the best, maybe just for me.
You could try each of them. It's too general to say which is the best. Maybe different tweaks, different features, different interface but they're all TW based , so should be almost the same.
GNG1 probably not rootable with TowelRoot anymore so the only option of rooting would void the warranty. However as far as i remember MultiX for example is Mobile Odin friendly so you don't have to worry about losing warranty. It's not going to touch knox.
Don't really use custom kernel. Even if I flash it, I didn't use any app to control it. Just using it like a stock.

Good info on that! I guess there would be no harm in trying TowelRoot, right? If it doesn't work, just try another root method..

Right. If you don't want to lose warranty yet try MultiX. Flash with Mobile Odin.
And I'm sure you're aware that you don't have to root to flash custom rom. Just flash custom recovery and flash the rom of your choice.

Well, that's just the thing. I do want and need root (Greenify, TiBackup etc., Xposed). So that probably means I'll lose warranty, assuming that TowelRoot does not work. But it's interesting that you don't lose warranty when flashing recovery or ROM. I thought that trips up the KNOX thingy...But then again, I'm not too concerned about the warranty.
I just wish things were easier like on a Nexus : ) Danm you Samsung!
If you're not concerned with the warranty, do look at Phoenix ported S5 rom by tyre777. Stable, good looking, everything working. My favorite kk rom.
Just look, no need to flash.

How does this ROM differ, in short, with Tweaked S5 BASE / N4 STYLE ROM?
So I just read that you can use TowelRoot with my device: http://www.galaxynote3update.com/safety-root-n9005xxugng1-galaxy-note-3-without-knocking-knox-counter-0x0/
Am I right that installing a custom kernel WILL trip the KNOX?
you should look at my rom V26 or V19.....it's exactly what you want....
OK, just succeeded rooting my device with Towelhead....I mean root without tripping KNOX! :good:
So, flashing a ROM doesn't trip KNOX either? And SuperSU asks me if I want to remove KNOX. What exactly are the implications of this? Will the KNOW counter continue to show up as 0x0? Has anyone tried this?
P.S. F*ck you Samsung! My money, my device!

Flashing custom recovery trips knox. So does flashing custom rom as it's prerooted.
