[Q] LG g2 package installer install button disabled? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I just bought my LG g2 a week a go. I havent installed an apk file yet until now. When i try I cant click the install button. I check the unknow source on security settings.
Can someone help me?

Do you have something dimming the screen like Lux? Other apps that filter the screen will do this as well, so try disabling them before installing.
Edit - Actually Lux will disable itself when you install something, so it's probably a different app or mod that does something similar.

You might want to try to disable "Verify apps" (just below "Unknown sources") in Settings - General - Security and see what's happening.

[Q] Cannot instak APKs files

Hey everyone,
I'm facing a problem which is kind of strange, today I tried installing an apk to my nexus 7 3g , the thing is I cannot press on the install button. I enabled install from unknown source already.
The strange thing is I can press on cancel but I cannot press on the install button ... shall i flash the stock again?
I'm on 4.2.1
Thanks
What is the app? Have you tried installing from Play or is this something you downloaded and are trying to side load? Incompatible apps won't install by design.
If the Install button doesn't respond, it means something is preventing the installation. The app may be incompatible or a file may be missing.
Go to setting security .. uncheck verify apps.... .Typing this from memory but i think that is where its at.... This is likely your issue.. Let us know..

Did you look at all of the permissions it is requesting? It won't let you press install unless you've read all of the permissions.

I've been able to install my own apk files until two days ago. Now with the exact same apk that worked before, the Install button won't do anything at all. The Cancel button works fine. I've tried all the steps described in other posts for other devices but nothing works. I haven't changes anything on the tablet but the auto updated do occur.
Has anyone solved this problem yet?
Thanks.
I feel like you have to scroll to the bottom of the permissions list.

Hi,
I have since solved both of these issues and to give an update for anyone else who has this. The issue with the system saying its been modified was to do with the sd card and simply turning off the phone removing the sd card then restarting the phone and putting the sd card back in fixed it. The issue with installing apps was cause by another app I had running that applied an overlay to the screen so be careful and check the app you have running.
Thanks
Thanks

No
I have rooted phone, stock rom 4.2.2., stock recovery, stock kernel
this was happening to me before but after scrolling down-up through permissions i was able to tap INSTALL button
anyone?
Some apps will cause this, I had it when I had Screen Adjuster running, stopped it and I was able to install.
Specifically, any apps that you've given permission to draw over other apps can potentially cause what you're experiencing. E.g., screen filter and other floating apps.
kien and ohyeahar tnx for help, i solved it by uninstalling twilight

avoid this and you will have no problem

[Q] Theme option missing

Hi people,
My LG G2 theme settings suddenly went missing when I restarted my phone, all the themes settings are gone. Don't even have the button for the themes.(Normally will have the themes option when you go to the display settings) I can't even use the knock on normally as if it's not the default launcher.
Need some help please.
Thank you.

Did you mistakenly delete the home launcher?
If so install this.

I'll give it a try right now, I don't know what happened, I just restarted my phone and everything was gone, no theme option and the double tap wouldn't work. Thank you so much for this, its downloading right now. I'll let you know if it works.
Didn't work, says "application not installed"
I had the same problem which is solved now.
just go settings >> general >> apps
Menu >> reset app preferences
Menu >> reset default apps.
hope that helps.

This is generated by the optimus theme installation that updates part of your default basic theme.
The update of the theme generated an error because the theme is not compatible.
When you restart the phone the damaged theme is applied and this caused the issue you explain.
How to solve?
It's easy. Go to system settings > general > downloaded apps. Click on basic theme and choose uninstall updates, than restart the phone.
The problem is solved.
Hope it helps.

[Q] can't click on "install" when I try to install APK

I am using the international version of the g2 and its rooted , I've tried installing few apk files it doesn't work , i ts not the "unknown sources" option and I don't have screen filter , it just doesn't work suddenly , last apps Install were : echo notification , maxthon browser and push bullet before that i didn't have a problem ...
it's probably one of the apps you have stopping you pressing the install button
had it happen to me a while a go on a nexus 4, a screen colour filter adjustment app was the culprit. I know you say you don't have one so I guess another app is impeding it
