Play Store Speed is very slow on my Note 3 over wifi.
It takes a lot of time to display details of different apps and their images.
It works very well on my S2 over the same wifi network.
My Note 3 is on stock rom and rooted.
I read somewhere to remove the google account and sign in again.
I have also turned off Wi-Fi Power Save Mode.
But it didn't worked. Any solution ?
Settings > General > Application manager. Find Google play store, and clean the cache and data, do the same for the services and framework. Reboot and see if it helps.

Can you explain step by step what you did ?
Firstly, i cleared the cache of the play store. Then i uninstalled the updates for it and restarted my phone, I then reinstalled the updates and restarted again. After that it is perfect. Hope this helps!

try this if you may: clear google play cache > force close > reboot
I did that once and it worked for me.

I tried to look for this problem, but couldn't find anything relevant...
finally got my unlocked nexus 4 in the mail today!
was super excited, cut my existing t-mobile sim card (I'm on a contract with them) and was able to connect to their network.
the problem is that no matter what network i am on (wifi, 4g, 2g) i cannot download any apps from the play store. I click on 'install', it brings up the permissions window, i click on 'accept and download' and it tells me "[app_name] could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]."
Also can't update any apps...
I am extremely confused.. has anyone encountered this problem?

How large are the games? I had the issue with an update to "Angry Birds Space Premium" which is 46.07 MB, so I moved closer to the WiFi AP and retried again, which worked. You could also try disabling "Wi-Fi optimization" in "Advanced Wi-Fi" settings.
Kinda like that apps that are 40mb up..will try and report back

Are you trying to update an existing app?
Log into your Playstore account on a PC and make sure your N4 is set as active and then try and push the install from the PC.

Delete app data and cache. Uninstall and reinstall from market. See if that helps. Always should be first steps when an app bugs out like that.

So, I'm trying to pinpoint exactly what keeps using this process (com.google.process.location) any ideas? I've looked at other threads... No luck. I do use Google now... Would this affect this even if I've placed location history and location reporting off? Another app which I think is the issue is "find my friends" would this happen to be using up my location even though I have put the location reporting off in Google settings? Thanks for any help.

However, I don't want to always have to put on and off location settings when I use something like maps.

Your not turning off your GPS. Your turning off the wireless network which cause the Google services drain.

I think I solved such an issue on one of our s4 by uninstalling maps app (restore original) and reinstalling
