Hi.
When i got my i9500 i tried rooting it with a guide i found. It didn't work and i ended up flashing the phone with a stock rom, and re rooting with an updated and working guide.
Rom manager says i have two custom recoveries installed but when i try to boot into a custom recovery (CWM) it will not boot, instead it is booting straight to stock recovery. I think they may not have been removed when i flashed the stock rom.
Could someone please help by giving me instructions on how to get it working again.
Thanks for you help

Just Switch off your phone & Then press Power On+Volume up+menu button. You will go to recovery.
In the post i said that it will not boot into any of the custom recoverys that i have. Is there a way to remove them?

on top of stock rom, my stock rom was JeallyBean 4.2.2 i337 mf3 not mdl and i read there are no mf3 files for odin
So i managed to fix this problem just by downloading stock rom for my phone and flashing with safestrap: Galaxy S4 rooted Stock ROM AT&T SGH-i337 MF3 (i found that on google)
The rom i downloader is rooted. and it said to install Loki after finishing flashing rom but i managed not to.
after you finished flashing you need to install also: jflteatt-MF3-modules(attachment) : this will make your wifi to work.
Every thing i just said, worked for me! do this at your own risk! im not responsible for any damages!!!
Wait what if you flash MDL with safestrap, and use goo.im for TWRP? It could possibly brick but just an idea.

It wouldn't. The bootloader is still MF3 no matter what you do to the system, and so it will still be locked with no way to bypass it.
Hi everybody!
I think I soft bricked my Galaxy S4. I had MF3 firmware, flashed Safestrap and Installed custom ROM. Everything was Okay before I decided to flash another one. I flashed Alpha v10 ROM and it didn't boot.
Right now I'm stuck with Galaxy s4 writing and accessible Download Mode and stock recovery mode.
What should I do now? I know that we don't have MF3 firmware available but is there any possibility to boot this phone?
Thanks in advance
There is a script on here that you can flash with odin to make your phone boot normally its in the android development section for our phone. Try looking for it there. Good luck.
Edit: heres the link to it.

Hey, I have the Samsung galaxy s4 and I have been rooted for about 3 months. I heard the Bootloader for the att variant is locked, but every time I boot my phone up, it shows samsung logo and under that it shows a lock which is unlocked and under it it says custom. Does this mean my Bootloader is unlocked or is this for everyone? My baseband version is I337UCUAMDB.

It does it for everyone that is rooted the bootloader is still locked but there is a way to remove that. Here is how http://androidtechy.com/index.php/v...icon-after-rooting-the-samsung-galaxy-s4.html and before someone else tells you so you know questions have to go in Q/A section.
An easier way IMO, flash a stock att mf3 ROM that has stock kernal then use triangle away.
This ROM works, just Loki doki after flashing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2364635
Then use triangle away.

But if you do that, you won't be able to install custom ROMs without safestrap, so if you have any interest in CM/AOSP Roms, leave it alone...

You just flash the ROM through cwm or twrp does not flash boot loaders there for you can still use aosp Roms. The ROM I linked is safe to flash and keep root and custom recovery.

Only thing is to do what I posted he would have to be on MDL bootloaders not MDB.
I'm rooted with Philz CWM Touch and running GoldenEye with Faux13. I don't have that splash screen....

No it means you've flashed a kernel or ROM that tripped the custom firmware counter. The use of triangle away is that it resets that counter back to zero and give you the standard Galaxy S4 splash screen
I found this fix in one of the threads. Not sure if it will work for you, but it did for me and I'm on MF3.
1. Update SuperSU app
2. Launch app and update binary
3. Reboot
4. Download and launch Root Explorer (or another file manager that can access system files)
5. Navigate to a folder called "/system/xbin"
4. Delete ONLY files in that folder with the word "busybox" within its filename or symlink path. You should end up with three files left.
5. Reboot
(Probably don't have to Reboot on Step 3, but I did it to see if custom boot screen was gone... it wasn't... so I included it in my steps.)
Found it. Credit goes to ou812bkewl. Here was the post... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44495559&postcount=39

The reason why I asked if I'm locked down is because, one of the replies said if the op uses one of the methods to remove the padlock screen than he'd than be forced to use SS to flash roms. Don't we need to anyway?

The only time you would run that risk is if you Odin back to stock MDL and took the MF3 ota. Flashing a ROM is safe with no risk of bootloaders or basebands locking anything.
Okay so I spend hours trying to get recovery on my samsung galaxy s4 AIO SGH-1337Z and I finally do it.
I wipe and flash the pacman aio rom on the custom rom 1 slot .
Black screen, nothing else.
I do it on my goddamn stock rom and it just loads and stays stuck on the custom samsung screen.
Someone give me a tutorial to installing 4.4 kitkat on the AIO SGH-1337Z because i am fed up and i am so tired and frustrated and depressed and just please somebody help me.
I've had to odin the firmware about literally 56-60 times now trial and error and im getting exhausted.

I know its hard to guide you since you dont see too many guides for your specific phone. All i know is that I have an AT&T phone on Aio.
I follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52289782
I Odin full nb1 since i was stuck on download mode.
Then I downgraded to mk2
Once you are on mk2 you saferoot
Then install safestrap.
Unfortunally we can not flash custom roms since the bootloader is locked. We can only flash TW roms.

We are left to enjoy kikat but forget custom roms for now.

He's already on the same boat, his doesn't work with Loki so he only gets Safestrap and doesn't even get 4.4.2 or anything.
