Google Wallet Tap to pay CM11 - RAZR HD General

Has anyone got then to work yet? I've got it all set up but every I go into a store to try it, nothing happens.

I have started a project on the NFC forum. We are getting ready to decompile the jni CPP libraries. At that point, things should progress nicely from there. With all hope we can get some major players to look at this code to insert it into cm11..
The decompiler program was about $7k.

Oh so your saying by default Tap & Pay doesn't work on CM11? At least on the RAZR HD

Also not working here on my maxx...At least as of the 1/13 nightly
Excited about the possibility of someone getting this working

If You know hex-rays, binary code, jni, the code has been decompiled from the HTC one and is on the NFC forum. You can weed through that and add the code for NXP in the hce libraries.

Ha.. That's my thread
Hopefully 4.4.3 will shed some light on this project. It really sucks that we've had to go so long without it

UPDATED!! 8-16 hbogo on xoom

***Updated I removed the code for device check! App now loads! You can browse videos, but the app FC when attempting to login. I am activly working on it and will continue to update.
So I have successfully decomp the app, and I believe found the file for the "unsuported device" wondering if anyone who if familiar with Java, would like to checkout the file. Pm me and il send, or i can post the file here and u can dl it, and look at it. Or even mod it and repost and I can recomp the apk.
If any takers let me know
heres the link for the file, u can use any note pad, but notepad++ is nice
if using that, line 105 (i think) if the first ref of the unsupported device, and its reffered to at line 1486, then line 105 refferes to line 72... and thats where i get lost
http://db.tt/27hyiKs
*updated, thought it would help for more info heres a logcat of some more ifno
on the left is my droidx as the app launches, and on the right is the prosess of launch on the xoom
as you can see theres a bit more on the droid once it starts running
seem the xoom give the device id, then displays the unsupported device
**updated added highlighed sections
IM GETTING THERE...SLOWLY, god im an getting so close!!! it opens and u can browes the videos but it FC when u try to login
If anyone finds a way to get this to work - it would be AMAZING!
I'm trying, spent about three days trying to figure this out, but my lack of knowledge about coding is kicking my butt

get it to work?
HI did you ever get someone to help make this work? Gotta new (refurb) Xoom and really love HBOGO on my Galaxy S4G.
Thanks for trying!
Frank
With the device checker pulled it will load and start to try to steam, but then fc.
The app itself is actually not compatible.
Dolphin browser works, but not
All the best

CM9 for Galaxy Tab 2!

It's exactly what the title says...it's on another certain forum that starts with a r...I'm using it right now...already excellent as a daily driver...though the author says it's barely alpha...I would highly advise checking it out! Surprised it hasn't been mentioned here yet..

Realized after I posted this it belongs in the general forum....mods can you please move...thanks, and sorry...

From the thread:
What's not working:
--Audio Capture (voice commands, camcorder audio)
--Bluetooth Bluetooth actually works for connecting and data transfer..will not work for audio as I haven't gotten there yet.
--Chrome Beta not working yet
--YouTube not showing in market (and probably a few others (although you can download and sideload YouTube from the link below and it works, also webviewing YouTube works)

I personally wouldn't really want to use that unless at least the Chrome and audio issues were fixed (those are also the reasons I abandoned the AOKP ROM here).
I use the stock browser, and i can wait on Bluetooth a2dp, so yeah, if those are deal beakers, not a good rom, other than that, it's working flawlessly...

Runs really good here. I got my tab this morning and I already flashed it to cm9. Gotta love it!

No ROM that is made from AOSP has these features that you "need" in them currently due to kernel source not being complete from Samsung.
Blame Samsung, not any development. Have fun on TouchWiz while the rest of us test drive the future of our tablets.
PS: No one is making you use these roms.
I didnt't mean to sound critical, only to mention some of the limitations that prevent me and people a lot like me from using it as a daily. No offense or criticism intended.
Can somebody link to cm9, and make a small guide on how to root and flash.

CM9 with stock kernel?
Would it be possible to make a CM9 rom with the stock kernel so that mic and other things work?
To answer a couple of questions, it's my understanding that it's against forum rules to link to an outside forum....afraid you'll have to google it.
Also, CM9 requires an AOSP kernel, so the stock kernel wouldn't be compatible.
Not the answers anyone wanted, but that's my take.

The sound not working wasnt because of the kernel source. I just hadnt gotten to it yet
Samsung released new kernel sources that work so the heavier fixing can begin. Last build had working mic as well as the sound. Still need to get bluetooth audio working but dont have a headset to test with :'( . Going to see if I can borrow one for a few days so I can get it working.

[Q] Nexus Q internal amp?

Have any of the custom roms been able to get audio out from the internal amp? Or is now the time to petition Google for source?
Not that i am and aware of and im surprised google hasnt released the source code anyway. Wish someone could get the light ring working as well as the amp working on it again

[Q] IR Blaster on AOSP ROM

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the IR blaster to work on a AOSP ROM'S. Has anyone tested Peel Smart Remote on one, or possibly managed to get a WatchOn apk and get that working on AOSP? Having the IR blaster is the only thing keeping me on TouchWiz at the moment since my TV remote's power button is fried, but I would really like to get TouchWiz off.
Download smart remote from the play store. It works very well.

The $10 one that specifies gs4? And that is confirmed to work on AOSP ROMS?
I don't think it will work. Asop roms delete pretty much ALL added features to the phone. Someone would have to get the apps from TW and see if they work on it. I'm not sure which system app you would need. If I knew which system apps I needed I would test it for you. I have the smart remote for g s4 app

Im gonna try some roms out today. I'll let u know what I find with the ir stuff. I had the s3 and the ir is the main reason I upgraded. That and the battery.

@kyhassen: Yeah, that's just about what I thought. I'm sure if someone dug through TW enough that whatever code is needed for it to work would be found. Could even be something as simple as a call method to find the hardware that gets passed along to whatever app the user is using, which could then be ported into an AOSP to keep that working..
@Mahapederdon: Thanks, please do keep me in the loop if you find something

Yeah keep us up to date on what you find!
The IR code is proprietary. Meaning it is unlikely the needed code will be released any time soon. Its possible someone may reverse engineer the drivers one day, or the code will "open" so all hope is not lost.
Try to back up the apk from stock through Titanium backup and restore it on your favorite aosp rom and see if it works.

Has anyone tried that?
I just did on slim bean it installs and opens but it won't work as a remote I think aosp doesn't have the s4's or drivers.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
Ok, so then it looks like someone needs to either reverse engineer the drivers, or talk Samsung into releasing them.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
And I just asked Samsung about that, and they basically said no. Anyone know anyone who may be able to reverse engineer it?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
So I'm guessing that smart remote won't work.
GS4 on Slim bean and CarbonROM
Hardware support is missing at the kernel level, .apks won't fix it.
It seems to be fully functional on the Google Experience S4 and also CyanogenMod nightlies according to users and reviewers.

Yea, I can confirm it works on the Google Experience S4 rom running on my SPH-L720, tried it out just recently using the WatchON app.
Same here then I tried it on CM 10.1 latest nightly and it didn't work on that but it worked on the Google edition rom.

Google wallet

I've been really digging for a modded google wallet for the note 3 that allows use of nfc. The S4 guys have a modded flashable wallet and I thought why the hell I'll try and needless to say that broke NFC and made the phone pretty unusable.
Has there been any promising or working work around I may have missed from other device forums
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
From what I read it can't be done because of the way Verizon has the nfc/secure element on the sim. My reason might be off but I know I read it cant be done. Isis works as an acceptable replacement

Does anyone have the corrwct apk? It's not compatible in Google play anymore with the N3. One Verizon rep told me the other day it was.

Possible solution
Unless the device is running 4.4 or CM 9/ 10.1 , the Note won't have the required NFC libraries to allow for HCE. Rooting doesn't rellay make any difference as the libraries were needed at the time of compiling the image file.
Hope this helps
Joe
