I just cant get enough of it! ;-) I have gone through 3 roms and 2 different kernels searching for the ultimate Evo 4G experience!
Thank you so much to the Revolutionary folks and the dev community for first getting a root method and second for creating awesome roms!
Yup!!! me too its like a drug....lmao

Rooted flashed evolved directors cit with golden monkey this thing flies now.
I am running CM7 right now, but I have downloaded Synergy and Kingdom to try in the future. Loving it.

I flashed CM7 and stayed with it for now since I hated sense but I think I might try Synergy later but meh, happy with the battery life I get now.

Just to let you know, he has a newer ROM out. Check my signature for it.
I have tried many ROMs, but I always come back to Mik's. Now i roll with EVOlvedAndroid, based on Mik's. Match made in heaven, nothing can best it.

I used Chogardjr 4.0 Rom daily for months. His is mikG based also.
But flashed Miui.us 1.8.19 last week and they have gone way beyond an iphone clone the past year.
if you can live without 4G you should try it....NICE VERY NICE

Might have to try MIUI...
I didn't know they had strayed away from just being an iphone clone!! I've been running CM7 nightlies. They're extremely nice, but my area doesn't have 4G.
CM7 was my first, but definitely not my last. I tried almost all of the big ROMs that supported 4G for a while, but in the end it was EVO Deck w/Tiamat 3.3.7 all the way. That was the ultimate combo for me.
I actually love Red Dawn Synergy. I'm glad I got my evo just in time for them to release the ability to root GB.
I rooted back in April and I can't get enough, not sure why it took me so long and I definitely won't go back. I am using Kinged Shooter 2.1 and by far the best one I have used.
Getting an atrix to play with and have a couple questions.
is there an Miui?
How many custom roms are there?
What are people looking for in custom roms?
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda premium
1) MIUI in progress, look in the dev forum, should be a thread there
2) there are a lot of custom roms based on the stock GB firmware and the CM7 firmware(all with various tweaks). I really don't know how much though.. 10? refer to #1.
3) personally I need something lean and fast... I could care less about fingerprint and webtop.
If I got the the right rdannar, he is a talented dev from the x10 forum a while back. I hope you consider producing a Rom or two. What we need is if possible a very light blur Rom built for speed and fully functional. Or you can team up with the miui or cm team for webtop ideas. Glad your considering helping us with the ATRIX. Welcome.

Ninja, Darkside, Aura, CM7 (All the roms based on CM7 as well) are either de-blurred or have 2 different versions, one with blur or very minimal blur. What exactly are you looking for?
1. MIUI is currently in Alpha 2, no details on the Beta release yet, but here's the thread.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1383721
2. Quite a few ROM's for the Atrix.
-Darkside ROM (Nottach)
-Alien ROM (Kenneth from Briefmobile, not being updated)
-Aura (Diviance, not being updated anymore I believe)
-CM7 (Atrix Dev Team, working on CM9 now)
-Ninja (Sam Cripp)
-GingerMod (Evogp)
-RedPill and RedPill CM7 Hybrid (Dorian from Atrix Forums Website)
There's more but that's some of them, most of them rather that I know are still on the 1-2 page.
3. Mainly, when I look to flash a ROM, I would like it to be stable, smooth, fast, minimal blur or none at all.

I was okay on x10. I am more of a cook or porter with some Dev skills. I puta lot of roms out for x10. the good old days. then did some ROM for the Motorola bravo, lg thrill, galaxy s2, and soon this I hope.
I know people ask this all time, but was asking for other reasons then noobs do. Thanks for the info everyone. I could search but liked the feedback of users.

lean and fast i mean real lean and fast is
neutreno rom by notorious544
fastest benchmarks of any rom; cm7 based or blur for atrix yet i was 14 pionts shy of 7000 on antutu
bench with fauxs old 1.4.5 kernal
with no undervolt and.maxed.min and max
I use neutrino (hopefully I spelled that correctly). Also welcome to the Atrix side glad to have you. There is a KANG CM9 in progress but the OP on that thread doesn't seem to have much more to say.
The Atrix Dev Team are great guys I think they would be happy if you could help them.

Hope you like the atrix! Coming from the x10 I sure do!
I can tell you what i'm looking for in custom roms though. ICS! We have a port but it's really an alpha, much like the x10 one.
See? ... Another proof that the Atrix 4G is still very alive and kicking!!!
(in reference to another post where pessimistic AT&T employees are saying that the Atrix 4G has reached it's end of life.)
Welcome to the Atrix rdannar
Thanks for all feedback.. I should have it today. The first thing I usually do is deblur and slim down a rom to get used to its files... Then theme and framework.. Then who knows? I have a Gs2 that I do roms (waiting for ics and new computer to do more) for so this will be a toy...

Yeah, it's pretty slow here at XDA for our Droid X's but there's several active roms over at Rootzwiki that are being worked on. I've been running an unofficial CM9 beta over at Rootzwiki. It's pretty sweet even with the few things that still need some work.
I was under the assumption they weren't going to have ICS for the Droid X, but they would for the Droid X2. Oh well, time to play with my ol' Droid X.
Every rom on RootzWiki is the latest rom. They are regularly updated and each is running great.

CM7.2 RC1 was just released on Monday. Like others have said rootzwiki has a few projects going but I don't see a lot of updates coming out of any of them. Most of the time it's someone else picking up the project after someone else dropped it. Gave it a new build number and new name and that's about it lol.
Like was said above the DX rom scene is pretty active. There are 3 distinct ICS roms (cm9, miui v4, gummy) and several other active GB roms. Lots of choices
you could call me a developer although i am limited to just a few small things on another phone. I used to have a droid X when it first released until i had a few issues with it, specifically a low battery with an sbf so i had to do the usb trick with the battery which fried the board on the phone so i was no longer able to charge the battery through the phone(weird issue). I had to make a battery charger which worked very well, and i used it for about 4 months.. Finally my home button malfunctioned and acted as though it was stuck.
Anyways, I am acquiring a new X and will start some developement with that. So consider this an early entry into something that will be developed and then released.
Look in my signiture for links to my release on the Samsung Continuum.
Does anyone know why devs don't give any love to xda and shower us with updates

I would highly recommend miui 2012.2.1 because its super customizable and just looks amazing and is still being actively worked on by devs and you can get good miui ics roms its simply amazing

I am going wait another week or so for any bugs to be fixed ( maybe a 9.X release ) and try it.

I'm loving gummy v.0.9.0. Favorite rom on the DX so far. Only problem that bugs me is the garbled bluetooth calls. I have to take the phone out of the dock and change the output from bluetooth to speaker just to understand people.
The Gummy 3-30 build works very well. It's alot speedier than 0.9.0!

Was dead long time ago since HTC stopped upgrading it to ics. However all the devs here are helping to extend the life of this device. But right now seems everyone moves on to new devices, you can either buy a new phone or stay on one of the ics roms using 2.6 kernels. And I don't see any upcoming new roms or new updates to the existing roms in the future. Sorry dude. It's 2014.

Don't throw it away at least not yet. I saw your thread and prepared a ROM. It may not be perfect but at least it can kick start the forum for some following cm roms. My team is scheduling another ROM. It will be a KK performance centered ROM. Have a nice day guys.
