Using E300K. I enabled "RNDIS+ACM+DM" and I see the S5 is showing up as port COM5. However when I select COM5 port in either QPST, NV Read/Write or EFS Pro, it says it cannot connect to phone or failed to connect to port. Any suggestions?
Edit: Well I am a little slow. Not a Qualcomm device so these shouldn't work... but now what do...
Same Problem
My G900F W/ ROOT AND CUSTOM ROM... 5.1.1 WONT SHOW THIS OPTION....

Hi all,
I am new to this thread..
I am actually trying to make my mini pro sk17i compatible with QXDM as is has got qualcomm chipset, for which modem and diagnostic port need to be enabled.
I have already rooted my phone and modified USBmodetable.sh to enable modem, diagnostic and NMEA port.
My phone is working fine..no issues with that..
however, when I check the device manager, under other devices there are 3 SEMC HSUSB devices..I am assuming it to be for modem, diagnostic and NMEA port..
Now, i have searched many threads and ports to get the drivers for the above mentioned ports...still no luck..
I am using th phone in USB debugging and enable unknown sources..and working on vista..
Could any one please suggest me!!
The USB Connection never really works fine. (On windows7)
Sometimes i get the "Unknown Device Error" and sometimes it says "Unknown Hardware ID"
I thought its the EFS (IMEI) problem, so i restored my EFS of the Stock ROM (Note: On stock rom the USB Connection works just fine)
Anyway it didn't solve the problem, i still can't connect it to my PC, ADB Works but the MTP Mode doesn't.
Anyone knows a solution or some alternative? I also miss the Mass storage mode of older/other Android Phones.
i tried to change the rom as i get bored easy. never had problems until now. I cant turn it on and every time i try to flash with sp flash tool it gives me errors. however the SAME rom i Always use to recover my bricked phone. Now however the computer will not even detect the preloader so i can install the usb drivers for that. however the mediatek driver usb is installed.
Please help as i think i have completely HARD-BRICKED my phone.
You tick the download button first.
Then Insert the usb port on the pc
If it detects thats good.
If it gives error, try again, hit download button and change the usb port.
This should work, I guess
I'm trying to connect to my device using QPST, but the device is not showing up in the COM ports. I've tried to delete all the usb devices related to the device in device manager but all to no avail. And none of the dial codes I'm using seem to be working. Only ones that work are those that start with "*#*#" and end with "#*#*". Only com port I get is the default COM1, to which there is no phone connected. The other problem is that the drivers I have doesnt seem to be working, I even had to install them by disabling hardware signing. Device is not detected in download or recovery mode either.
Processor is a MSM8212 and the mainboard is MSM8610.
I'm on windows 8.1
Your device is in regular mode... to access DM you HAVE to have it in DM mode.... so try EFSpro to switch your phone into DM mode or you will have to keep looking for a dial pad code. Some handsets allow sysfs to enable DM mode too. Have a look and do some research. Your QPST drivers should come from the manufacturer... ie I am using samsung drivers to use the DM port, not drivers from QPST.
Hi guys !
I'm having a strange issue with my S4 i9505. It was running lollipop 5.0.1 Imperium Rom V5.0 (XXUHOD7) and it stopped prompting for MTP-USB notification in notification panel. When i connect the phone, it says me it is charging. I'm using windows 8.1 pro x64 + Genuine Samsung USB cable (which came with the phone) between my S4 and the PC.
Then i tried dialing *#0808# in phone app and choose MTP+ADB in USB connection option when the phone was connected to the computer. Nothing happened even if i tried other USB modes (like MTP, Rndis, PTP...). USB internet sharing didn't work either. Changing USB cables and USB ports on the pc didn't change anything either
So i did a factory reset under Philz CWM recovery and flashed an updated version of Imperium Rom v14.0.
USB-MTP was still not working even with *#0808# trick.
So i decided to install Samsung drivers and try a complete stock flash with XXUHOF2 Firmware from Sammobile.com with ODIN v3.09. When the phone was into Download Mode, I connected it via USB and it showed up on ODIN with no problem and then I flashed XXUHOF2 Stock firmware with no errors and no problems at all. The phone rebooted normally and the PASS message appeard in ODIN after ~10 mins.
But the problem still remains, even if flashing a full up to date stock rom with Modem/BL/System + factory reset. The phone still doesn't show into windows as MTP device even with *#0808#.
So i'm wondering if my USB connector is faulty ? Is it possible to be able to flash through ODIN with no problem and not being able to have MTP USB connection ?
I think ODIN flashes phones using Data +/- pins on the USB connector just as MTP do, so they might be good on my S4. May i be wrong ? Is it possible there is an electronic chip behind USB connector of my phone which is misbehaving preventing MTP to work but allowing ODIN to work ?
Do you guys have an explanation of this and do you think replacing USB connector of my S4 would solve the problem ?
I hope my explanations are good and you can help me

Try disabling and enabling USB debugging while the phone is connected.
