Recently I've been getting these messages about my SMS app (Textra) sending too many messages, and I have to press "allow" every time I want to send a text. It there some way to remove or raise the limit?
On rooted stock.

Hi guys,
I am running mattc 1.5b and I am having problem sending sms longer than 160 characters.
I am using handcent sms. If the message size is more than 160 characters, straight after i hit "send" i get a message failed to send notifications. I have confirmed that the message did not reach the intended recipient.
If i change the 'split 160' setting under 'send message settings' to anything other than don't split, the message will send and it will arrive as multiple sms's with 160 characters in each.
I have also tried to use the built in 'message' software to send a long sms, it first prompted me saying it failed to send but after a few auto-retries it will send eventually.
Anyone knows how to get handcent sms to work properly?
Hi,
I'm trying to write an app that has to manipulate my inbox and my sent messages without sending or receiving a message.
This tutorial shows me how i can send messages, but i want my phone to think that i sent one, without actually sending one.
I've searched in the Android References and i think i need to use:
SMS Manager
SMS Message
How can i do this?
Good day everyone! i have a issue regarding receiving SMSmassages on my unit...The factory default SMS application had limited sending capabilities (when after reaching 80kb, message becomes MMS), so i downloaded Handcent SMS messenger. Its works fine,m but the problem is I receive 2x messages from the original SMS messenger and the new downloaded Handcent application, so I have to read twice the same message everytime someone sends me SMS. My question is, how can i make Hancent my default SMS messanger? Or, how can I make it that I receive 1 message feom Hancent application only? I know someone out there with great knowledge of these problem is out there, hpe you can help me! thanx!
Handcent tells you waht to do for notifications, read it and follow the directions not that hard. Go into factory SMS, settings, notifications UN CHECK It, not that hard. READ.
I'm using Handcent and somewhat frequently I'll lose signal (because of where I live) and my phone won't send the SMS. I have to keep pushing the button to try to send it again. Is there an app (or feature I'm missing on Handcent) that will keep trying to send the message automatically until it sends?
Ok I have read, reread, and rearead several more times and have not gotten a definitive answer. I can receive text, send pictures, receiving pics is iffy. Sending text messages does not work with any sms app or stock apk. I just want to be able to send a normal text without adding a subject or a damn emoticon. All this happened when I rooted. I didnt remove anything from the phone yet cant send texts. Message center number is right and sms over ims is set to on. Anyone have any idea what the hell the problem is?
