Hi,
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 WiFi version (gt-p5110) from the Netherlands and I am still with JB 4.1.2. Is it normal I didnt get yet the 4.2.2 OTA?
Thanks!
May be 4.4.2 is the next update .. we in india are also stuck with 4.1.2 P3100
Strange, the 4.2.2 update has already rolled out a few weeks ago.
(I'm also from the Netherlands with a P5110)
Is your binary counter zero? (Did you flash something)
(Also; There is a problem with the Email app, Samsung has probaly stopped the rollout)

The tablet is from my mother in law so I don't think she has flashed anything
If Samsung pull it out because it had a bug could explain it.
So if I flash it with idin and a 4.2.2 image then I should forget about getting other OTA true?

If you have root you can reset the binary counter.
As long as your running Samsung firmware and your binary counter is at zero, you are eligible for updates.

From the Moderator, --This is the German Update FYI
Received an updated message from my UK N7000 Galaxy Note today and waited until I got home from work before updating the new patch.
The process gone extremely well but on completion my Note was un-rooted, so I proceed with Odin to flash GL_NOTECORE_HYDRACORE_v4-3b_STD Kernel which then give my N7000 device rooted with CWM again.
However, I now got yellow triangle on Samsung boot up screen and the flash counter is now 1.
I wasn't to sure at this point to execute Triangle Away utility which I know had been working fine on my previous versions of ICS, but not sure with this new updated version (.... brick come to mind!!!!).
As it happened, Triangle Away v1.90 utility resetted and removed yellow triangle without any problem.
Understand that this is what I did to gain rooted, resetted my counter and removed yellow triangle. In no way at all, I am instructing anyone to do the same as I am not an expert! just sharing my success.
Whick kernal when using triaway thx
What CSC and ROM were you on. Who is your carrier?
I have a UK N-7000 on LRK on the XEU CSC and have no OTA or Kies update yet
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
My Galaxy Note N7000 is locked on 3 network.
Previous rom was Galaxy Note N7000 to Official XXLRQ ICS 4.0.4 Firmware with flashed GL_NOTECORE_HYDRACORE_v4-3b_STD Kernel.
I must say, my galaxy note is now very smooth & fast!!!
dont see it on checkfus

This XXLRT update is for German rom I guess, since you are using the LRQ rom so you got the OTA notification, Check this thread for the OTA in Germany.

Any way, this update is very good.
Hi all
today I installed the jellybean 4.3 XXUEMJ5 update but since installing it it has made my device status go fro official to custom
before the update I was not rooted or anything
can anybody help me get it back to official please
There's a way to get your status back to official if you are using a i9505 I think.
Otherwise (i900 or i9505g) I don't think it's possible.
ye I need to get my device back to official
How can it go from CUSTOM? this is an offical STOCK FIRMWARE from samsung.... ? doesn't make sense...
something isn't right.... when i always update my firmware to a newer one for 4.22 it always says offical.
Yes I know it doesnt make sense thats why im asking for help
Have you tried Factory reset or reinstalling the firmware?
Depends how you upgraded. Did you download a Rom and flash via Odin? If yes, are you absolutely sure it was the official and not a modified one?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Probably needs a factory reset. Don't disable any apps and are you using 64gb card?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
You need to reinstall the firmware with Odin properly.
I noticed on another thread that you clicked on bootloader button. WRONG. Extract the official Samsung 4.3 firmware file, click on PDA to select the extracted firmware, press start button.
I think you were confused because the leaked firmware had 4 files while official Samsung firmware has I file.
Hi all
Yes I re-flashed the rim using the PDA button and then did a factory reset and every is normal now
Only iv noticed one thing.
The camera as not updated and I thought that jelly bean r.3 included a new camera update.
Something similar happened to me!
Hi!
I've been checking for the 4.3 update on my phone since the announcement that 4.3 update has started. And suddenly yesterday morning I got the message that updates are not available, because my device is custom. Happened overnight, I've only done OTA updates, nothing else and I've had this update for a few weeks at least (maybe even a month), the baseband for the moment is XXUDMH6.
Do you think that it is possible for me to get it back to official in a similar way - flash the same or a newer version, a factory reset and voila?
Are you using a 64GB SD card? Sometimes my phone shows the status as custom, even though it's (currently) totally stock, just because of the SD card.
Take the card out and it goes back to official - strange.
Hey,
I had the same problem on 4.2.2. I had rooted my stock ROM and then updated OTA to MGG and my device status was custom and knox triggered 0x1...I don't really care about device status, but triggering knox really made me mad because I installed fresh rom OTA not some custom ROM ot kernel.. How is this possible? I don't know
Go figure...
Now I flashed with ODIN lastest MJ5 i think and device status is official but what matters knox is 0x1..
I suggest you try factory reset or flash it with ODIN to get back official status so you will be able to update via OTA. There is nothing you can do about knox status for now.
ye well you cannot change the KNOX thing back to OxO
Samsung have already come out and said it is impossible and so have many android developers etc
I wouldn't worry about it anyway its only a KNOX status, I doubt Samsung would refuse to repair your mobile if it needed to be repaired just because of a KNOX status, as long as all the other statuses are OFFICAL etc then it wont matter too much I don't think
Hey guys
I have a Galaxy note 3 with Rogers here in Canada (SM-N900W8) and I know there has been 2 updates released (MJ1 and MJ4) but I havent been able to update over the air because my phone is rooted and flagged and my knox trigger is flagged as well.
Using Wanam xposed I have my status set to official and I can download the new update but the installation will fail.
Anyway so I connected my phone to KIES and it says I can update, however before I update it says if my phone is rooted its possible I can brick my phone.
So my questions are, 2 install these updates (MJ1 and MJ4), will it brick my phone? If it doesnt will I lose my root? Can I reroot on these latest firmwares and lastly is there reasons why maybe I should stay at my current firmware?
Sorry if this has been asked before. Ive tried searching and I didnt have much luck
Thanks

Short answer is NO.
I updated mine via KIES to MJ7 (I'm on the N9005) - while rooted. KIES says you "may" encounter problems but mine was fine and I re-rooted with ease (already tripped KNOX so no worry there for me) _- as for your firmware on the N900W8 - not sure if you can root with the latest firmware or not personally
So when I first got my note I imediately used this guide to flash kitkat and completely ****ed it up, it just stuck on the Samsung n9005 screen.
This was a link to C4ETech's video called "Galaxy Note 3 - Samsung Official Kitkat 4.4.2 - How to Flash/Install" but I had to remove it.
I assumed it was something to do with the CSC code (mine being BTU) so I installed a BTU rom using this guide.
This was a link to TheSmokingAndroid's video called "HOW TO UNBRICK & UNROOT SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3" but I had to remove it.
Now I want to install a kitkat rom preferably a stock one but there isn't one for BTU. So I looked at the custom roms as some support BTU but require the device to be on 4.4 already. How can I get onto 4.4 if every 4.4 rom requires a 4.4 phone? Will I have to wait until an official BTU update comes out?
I've attached a screenshot of my About Phone page (which doesn't have BTU anywhere, I don't get it).
I probably have the complete wrong end of the stick so sorry for wasting everyone's time but if you have a minute to help I'd really appreciate it.

Try *#1234# might come up there. Anyways, go over to Sammobile and grab any of the latest 4.4.2 KitKat ROMs for your device (9005) as you said. And it should work fine.
Advice: Wipe your phone, not compulsory but advisable. Cheers!
I have a canadian variant note 3 900w8 and i want to flash 4.4.2 as well but i was hoping to flash the t-mobile version as i have heard of issues with the 9005 rom compatibility, just wondering if anyone has had experience yet, or if it has been done.

Thanks for your help but I've already done that and the newest version I can get is 4.3 I'll just wait until my phone gets the update, Thanks anyway
I've managed to get onto 4.4 now by flashing a polish ROM after reading that they support BTU, I don't know how to delete this thread so I'm just letting everyone know my issue is resolved

If you want the ability to flash back to 4.3 from 4.4, install custom recovery and roms and keep your Knox 0x0, head over here and do some reading ( if you haven't been there already ).
Hello everyone, I have a SM-G900A (Samsung Galaxy S5 ATT Model) Ok so it had 4.4.4 version of android on it. I wanted to put 4.4.2 on it so I could use towel root to root it. So I opened up Odin got the stock firmware from sammobile and tried flashing it, gave me a revision check error, so after doing some research downloaded the stock from here and put it in odin. Ok so from then I added the ap, csc, and cp. Odin looks like its installing right. So now when the phone starts it looks like its doing an update. So after that finishes it starts the samsung logo but freezes and goes to a black screen with the blue notification led pulsing, any ideas? I've tried looking stuff up and still no avail D:

I have the exact same issue from trying to downgrade the firmware to 4.4.2 and my screen is blank with the blue LED light on. I've flashed at least a dozen times and reset factory settings and wiped cache partition with no improvement. If anybody can provide a solution, it would be much appreciated!

I had the same issue. I reflashed the 4.4.4 OA1 kernel and was able to boot the phone back up. Still can not update device. Currently stuck on:
System Status: Official
Current Binary: Official
Knox Warranty Void: 0X0
Android version 4.4.2,
Baseband version G900AUCU1ANCE,
Build number KOT49H.G900AUCU1ANCE,
Kernel version 3.4.0-3116194,
SE for Android status Enforcing SEPF_SAMSUNG-SM-G900A_4.4.4_0033
At least I got the phone working again. FYI I had a similar issue in the past, went to best buy with an att note 3 and told them every time I try to ota update my phone it fails. And they re flashed my phone with no questions asked and I was able to ota update after that. I haven't got a chance to go to best buy yet but hopefully they can re flash my s5 like my other device and I can get the ota update.

I think I had the same problem as you and used the 4.4.4 OA1 Kernal to get it working again. Next I flashed the G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar.md5 and am working and se the last line as 4.4.2 where you have 4.4.4 . I'm guessing you have a mix of 4.4.2 and 4.4.4.

I'm having this same black screen/blue led problem too after I tried to flash back to the stock NCE 4.4.2 from a rooted 5.0 on a g900a. Where did you get the file for the 4.4.4 OA1 kernel? or should I try flashing back to 5.0? I have no idea where to go next at this point. I'm afraid I need to bring my phone to a specialist...

Check the at&t s5 section for files and probably better help since its for your model.

Thank you very much!
I literally tried everything for 2 days and nothing worked.
i have the same exact issue, any help please???
Just joined the club today and spent already 6h+ trying to get the phone booting up again - is there really no solution to this?
