Hi Everyone!
I recently switched from S4 to G2 and I am loving it, but I am facing 2 problems.
1- Time is set to some random value whenever the battery dies, usually sometime 3-5 days ago. It doesn't happen when I restart or turn on the phone after even 2-3 hours without getting battery to 0%.
2- Sometimes when I unlock the screen, it automatically locks again, it happens 3-4 times in a row, and then settles itself.
Thanks.
Best Regards.
1 Don't let your battery die?
Thanks Devs. From my VZW G2.

i have a sprint touch.
and my problem with it is that the battery can't seem to charge.
also that battery with charge appears to have 0% and it will turn off in less than a minute. and there will be times that it will say 70% but will only last for about 5-10 minutes.
is this a problem with the phone itself? is there way to fix this?

Change the battery. It looks like it cannot hold a charge.

Remove the memory card. It could be that it is somehow shorting out and drawing too much power.

Glad it worked out. It was a long shot, but it did happen to me once
My battery in the past few days has gone to ****. The same thing happened to a friend of mine's S3. I can be at 60%, then go to use the cam or send somebody a pic and the phone shuts off. It use to last all day. GPS is off no new software and friend had it start happening at the exact same time.
Buy a new battery, get your friend one to.

It will be good to know what kind of rom are you running and/or any other important spec, so you get a better answer than the one above.

I have to agree with Mr. Clown. If you want help you need to leave more information. It could be a software issue that is know and quickly solved. Does your friend have the same carrier? You may find that the phone is in between two masts and constantly changing from one to another.
Hope you resolve the issue.

To drop from 60% to zero is very unusual, normally because the battery no longer holds it's charge. If you give minimal information then you can only get minimal help...

Take a screen shot
This has been driving me nuts for ages, and now I just use the battery to transfer my phone from one charger to another! But to be honest I haven't tried anything to fix it as yet.
It started with my phone shutting down when I took a few photos - now, if my phone gets down to 80% I expect it to shutdown. It won't fire back up until I put it on charge.
Occasionally when I try to turn it back on, it wont fire up, and the blue LED comes on and stays on until I charge it or take the battery out.
Occasionally it will reach 50%, but that would be a rare occasion! I do still have the original battery, which is now over two years old.
It's a great phone - if only the battery would last longer than 10 minutes under use! It hasn't been rooted or anything - it is as I got it from new.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

A new battery is really cheap ( 15-25 usds) and probably would solve your problem.
There is no reason for this topic unless you have the original battery.

Your battery needs to be replaced..
Dial *#0228# this will reset the battery calibration. Charge it to 100%..
see if the problem still remains that means your battery is almost dead and expect a random shutdowns at anytime

I understand that the battery is probably past it's best, but it was the fact that it states that it has lots of life left, and then acts as if it doesn't that throws me. That's the reason why I have posted this topic.

I've done this now. Thanks for the tip. It doesn't seem to have made any difference though so it's probably just the battery.
I just expected it to indicate the correct battery level in the battery level indicator.
You live and learn! Thanks for the replies.

My cellphone suddenly turns off when taking pictures / recording videos. this happened two days ago and now it's getting worse, this cellphone is turning on and off more and more
And always have to plug in the charger
but when in recovery mode it never happened
When I searched for a solution on google,Everyone said that it was a hardware problem
Thanks to all who answered my questions
It is possible that the capacity of the battery has decreased. We do not know how you charge it and how often.
Taking photos/videos is energy intensive and revealed the weakness of the battery. Let's hope this is the only problem, because of course, another electronic component may have broken down.

yes sir, it has to be. the phone was made in 2019 and these batteries have to be at least 4 years old by now. I am sure replacing the battery will fix your issue. It's one hell of a headache to have a phone that turns itself off.
Try to call someone or better use other phone and call ur rn7. I bet it restart when ringing.
When its on charger it dont restart ?
I bet its battery.
