Surface2 battery stat issue - Windows 8 General

Hello all,
So I got the Surface 2 4 days ago and I really like it.
I saw a thread in the Surface section (but can't reply to it... I don't know why) talking about battery stats. I tried it and stats are strange.
My capacity is between 30 to 32 mWh... that's alot compared to others. Lol
see pic
I wanted to know how to bring it to normal state ? If there's any solution of course
thanks
Edit: can a mod move this thread to the appropriate section ? ( Windows rt) I think my mind was asleep when I wrote that

Problem with Blackstone (Need the Dr House that's in you)

First of all, hello everybody, I have an hard question to post you all.
I have had some "water probem" regarding my Blackstone.
After it, it worked good for about a week and now it totally drains the battery in 30 minutes. At least I thought it was draining it !!!
But the truth is that it doesn't drain it, because I checked it on another HD.
My diagnosys is that the part that reads and recharge the battery got oxidated.
I was thinking about forcing the HD not to read the battery or trick it telling him it that's always 100%.
The question is, how can I do that ? by registry ? disabling the process ? but most of it ..... is it possible ?
Thanks to all in advance.

WELL dr.house would say do a biopsy and if you locate the cancer you could sent the patient to surgery, the pest parts for a translplant can you find here. Unless your diagnosis will work, i doubt it but hey who knows!
http://cnn.cn/shop/t8282-touch-blackstone-c-277_667.html
Wow, thanks that's a really good site.
Anyway I already treated it for everything, lupus included...... I really think that if I could get it not to continusly check the battery I could use it with the only problem of not being able to charge it.
I'll keep looking forward to try to do this by code !
Thanks al lot anyway.
I love that show. House is hilarious.
Good luck getting things figured out. I'm sure it's technically possible but I imagine it would require hacking of the OS itself.
My users ask me all the time, "Is it possible for you to .... "
I always answer, "Anything is *possible*. But..."
I totaly agree with you my friend.
Anyway, I figured it out.......It was the camera, that damn little camera was heating up (A LOOOT) the main board.
I just unplugged it a my HD came to life again (too bad I just bought a brand new HD2 --- :-D ) well, I'll use it for Rom cooking.
Anyway, thanks.

New Darkyy battery thread Poll

Should a new thread be made for Darkyy's rom battery drain discussion?
Would it be of any benefit?
Would it help keep the Darkyy rom thread cleaner for actual glitches / problems, and stop posts getting lost in a mine filed of battery trolling?
Darkyy would love to hear what you think mate .
There are plenty of battery drain threads out there but because people are using Darkyy's rom they feel they should post about it in the rom thread, instead of using the already available battery drain threads.
Vote and discuss please.
yes i think it should be investigated seperately from the rom thread , i dont think its the common battery issues people have . i think its a bug it the rom . take my experience with it for example
flashed from darky 8.0 to 9.0
did a wipe beforehand
within less than 12 hours the phone would not boot due to battery flat .
this was from a fully charged battery , with maybe 30 mins use at most .
went back to v 8.0 np at all
Those said said no, can we know why you disagree?
Flashed darkyy 9, I can go 3 days without charging ... tho I will admit i'm not a overly heavy user, and the phone is on wifi the entire time.. at the end of the 3 days i'm around 20% battery, so I find no drain problem here.

I personally don't believe its a problem with the rom at all other wise EVERYONE would have it which they don't. I can get about 3 days out of v9.1.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I get 1day and a few hours from it. 3 days if i dont use the phone at all

Are you using speedmod or voodoo?
Have you wiped the battery stats?
Did you do a wipe when you flashed to 9.1?
V9.1 carries over the battery stats from which ever rom you was using before i believe so there should be absoloutley no difference to your battery.
Theres an infinate amount of anomolies it could be theres no way to pin point the exact problem people have.
I have yeat to calibrate my battery, but indeed there is some kind of battery drain - no sync / no wifi and my battery goes down in around 12 hours. Still dont blame the ROM though, until I invesitigate and find the root cause for certain.
the battery jus drains quick in all darkys rom..the rom is gud but battry is a big issue.galaxy is kool wiv its color display but wats the fun wen u make a rom thts blacky jus to juice battry.but those who want snappy fast rom the darky is best.ive tested almost all diff roms an som r gud.everyone has a own choice.....
... and I'm sure someone will come soon and yell: Wrong forum section!

LOL yeah im waiting for that too mate.
At the end of the day though it would be better left here to stop flooding the rom thread.
People wont go to 2 different forums for one problem.
They will just keep flooding the rom thread...
Did you vote btw Darkyy? XD
actually with a fresh flash of 2.2 followed by 9.1 i see 3 times better battery
normal 2.2 lasted 3/4 a day
now 9.1+SO4_7_4 tests showing huge battery savings
will need a few days to give a detailed feedback on batt

that's a good idea..
think i'll try it too..
i said no because i get very good battery life with normal use - about 20-30 hours before it goes to 0.
9.1 with speedmod here, 1 day at most, no matter if I use or don't use the phone. Battery drain approx. 12% per hour, no matter if wifi is on or off...
Tried clearing battery stats, flashed wifi fix, removed self-updating widgets, no effect...
No offence but, dont we have enough Battery Drain threads around here? Im pretty sure we dont need rom/kernel specific battery drain threads, main thread will be spammed with it regardless of having this one (most of people around here are lazy to even read first post in the thread).
i was on darkys 9.1 and i found my battery drained quick, where as 8.0 was good
i dont use my phone much, i only use wifi when i need it, i only use gsm no 3g ever. everytime my phone goes back into my pocket i close all my apps thru task manager. bluetooth never gets used. i dont watch movies or play music. the only thing i do is play angry birds (that hammers my battery)
i still feel my battery life is poor and i have done all the methods to save its life like automatic brightness and NoLed ect.
shedding some light on this matter would be great... i think samsung should do something more about this... they can cram all this stuff into a tiny device, but yet they cant make a battery last more than 1-2days.
we can put a man on the moon... but an increased battery life is mind boggling ????
Should a Darkky battery drain thread be made?

haha true
Too many variables. Everyone sets their phone up differently. I have been having pretty good battery life on 9.1 but I installed DU meter & I lost 40% in 3hrs. Its all dependant on whats running.
I dont see this as a ROM problem personally.

[MICRO GUIDE] Ultimate Battery Drain Fix

I have created this thread so that I can help people with battery drain. I will try to avoid the "too long didn't read" problem by making it as small as possible.
Battery Drain : Battery drain refers to a sudden and unexplained draining of the power from battery sources in an area of paranormal activity.
1)Charge Phone Fully to 100% Using your computer.
2)Restart and Go to CWM Recovery.
3)With the charger still plugged in, wipe battery stats and dalvik cahce (In advanced options)
4)Unplug and Reboot and you may see a slight decrease in the battery. Charge it again to 100%
5)After fully charged, pull out the power then use heavily until 0%
6)Now charge it up again and remove the battery.
(OPTIONAL PART)
7)Put it in a Zip lock bag and then in the freezer.
8)Leave it for 6 hours.
9)Remove the bag and wait for battery to reach room Temp.
10)Put battery in phone.
11)Use the phone like normal and make sure you drain it to 0% before charging in the future.
If this helped, do not forget to hit the thanks.
Nice guide. I hope it helps new users here.

Sorry? Is this your signature in the xda app or something. This is my own guide. If you know any similar guides please link them and I will put them in. Also, I never asked a question.
Put it in a Zip lock bag and then in the freezer.
Please man?!!!
A lot of people didn't to that and I didn't to that and I don+t have battery drain. For 1 year I always have 6 days of battery. Heavy use (except playing games) 3 days!
What rom? GZR,IXperia,GCR,... I forgot names of others...!

If you get 6 days of battery you have no business replying in a battery drain thread!
You came here to point out something out to the OP which you haven't tried? Why didn't you try? Why did you then point out that his idea should be optional if you hadn't tried it?
How do you know lots of people haven't tried his idea which actually does help?
I've tried it and it does work - get used to the idea that you don't know everything 2010matej..
Again, you get 6 days battery 2010matej - 3 times more than everyone else on XDA so you have no business replying in this thread as your phone has never experienced this issue and you therefore are not qualified to speak on such subjects!
Couldn't have said it better.
Nice. My battery now lasts a but longer. Thanks. Could you put more pictures in this otherwise dull guide. I am not great with reading large ammountz of text.
Sorry if my englis is bad. I am colombian.

it's work identically like this metod. but is faster.

Wiping Battery stats and Battery Calibration Myth gets Debunked

this was posted on the XDA Portal on JANUARY 14, 2012 AT 7:38 AM BY Liwen..
and i thought i would repost it as it seems lately alot of people are being misinformed about it
Google Engineer Debunks Myth: Wiping Battery Stats Does Not Improve Battery Life...
There you have it, in the title. Google engineer Dianne Hackborn, who has previously explained Android’s hardware acceleration, took to Google+ again to clarify some myths about the Android operating system. This time, it’s a point of common advice that you’ll see in virtually every FAQ thread about custom ROMs and flashing: wiping battery stats in order to improve battery life.
The reasoning behind that piece of advice was something like this: If you, at some point, did not charge your Android device fully (for example, only to 80%), it would supposedly remember that battery level as “fully charged” – in this case, you’d only ever get to use 80% of your battery, which is of course less than optimal. So, if you wipe the battery stats, usually done in ClockWord Mod Recovery, the device would “forget” the previous level, here 80%, and instead charge to the full 100% once again, thereby re-calibrating the battery. Or, as Hackborn puts it in more technical terms:
The battery indicator in the status/notification bar is a reflection of the batterystats.bin file in the data/system/ directory.
However, as she explains, that’s not the case. Because those battery stats, stored in the batterystats.bin file, are only used to maintain information about what is using the battery when not recharging. That is, it essentially holds the information displayed in the Settings > Battery screen. Nothing more, nothing less. Thus:
It has no impact on the current battery level shown to you.
It has no impact on your battery life.
What’s more, you’ve probably noticed that the battery usage data is reset once you recharge your device anyway. From this you can correctly deduce that the battery stats are wiped as well – every time your device is recharged. More or less every day. If there was any effect, you would’ve noticed it without going into recovery and doing that stuff. Typical placebo, eh?

my htc hd2 wired problem .. my battery drains very fast.. . if i connect power cable after some time phone boots... some times while charging itself my phone switched off.. screen dark.. only liberates no display...
is it problem with my battery..or phone hardware issue...
me changed different rom.. and sd card. two years worked very well .. without any issues.. no Im in big trouble..with this phone
help me
The phone's supposed to turn on while charging when off in MAGLDR, that's completely normal. The high drain could be caused by any number of things and since there are various guides around as to how to reduce your battery drain I'm not going to get into it right now. The other issue you have is (I assume, the wording's a bit difficult to understand) an SOD or 'sleep of death'. Try flashing a newer ROM because afaik this issue doesn't exist on modern HD2 ROMs at all.
cool, good to know.
this is the question about li-ion battary. Smn says that better to charge from 0 to 100. and use from 100 to 0, but theoretically, this kind of battery better be used from 20 for 80 percent. So, there is a lot of things to debate.

AnTuTu Battery benchmak

Hi guys,
I've been an iPhone user for four years in a row. This year though, I bought HTC One developer edition for me and my wife.
Anyway, I've seen lots of threads on battery usage and stats but they reflect results that are dependent on each particular user. I felt like my battery is not lasting long so I ran AnTuTu battery benchmark test and got 457. I still have a week for the unquestioned exchange term, so if anyone out there had the same test could tell me his score, I would decide whether to return it or keep it. Cheers,
P.S. Skype was running on background during the test. I don't know if this benchmark software is clever enough to calculate that difference, but antutu was measuring cpu-usage/battery-usage so Skype shouldn't effect the test result. Advance users might know better of course. :fingers-crossed:

Oddly enough I have the exact same grace period so to speak to return my one also , I have also not had very good results with battery and I am considering returning it also , I even downloaded wake lock detector , gem battery monitor, to try and see what is keeping this phone awake, so far I have not been able to nail down anything, I was hoping not to have to worry about every setting , ie, WiFi,brightness, etc etc , my s3 outperforms my one by at least 30 percent , I'm finding the phone is not really going Into deep sleep the way I think it should , anyway sorry for rambling , when. Saw your post I was like uhhhh yeah me too , anyway before I posted I went looking for antutu battery bench mark and I can't find that app , do you mean antutu benchmark, and that app has a battery score I it somewhere....? I never used that app , although I am quite the flasher , sorry for rambling , but I saw on another thread that someone else was not getting Decent battery results and had to exchange there phone and when he did he got much better battery results , I thin its a software glitch , I was hoping not to have too root, to achieve better performance ..........nope other people chime in , I'm a very light user lately and I'm barely getting 3 hours of screen time and 13 hours total , phone is draining around 4 % an hour while off....
I have the one since friday, after the onex has driven me nuts for a year because of the sh**y battery.
I am absolutly amazed by the battery of the one, getting 4-5 hours screentime (watching hd movies and playing games) and still having 20% left
