Lag during app install and battery usage not available

Pretty slight issues that I have noticed with my TF300 and wanted to see if othes were experiencing similar issues.
1- Experiencing lag while installing/updating apps?
2- When I try to check my battery usage statistics in settings, it says they are not available.
Anyone else noticed or experienced these 2 issues?
1- some people have mentioned this. some say it doesn't happen. I notice it, but it doesn't bug me too much. I believe the suggested fix for now is to try a cold boot or a factory reset and see what happens.
2- there is an entire thread dedicated to this here. try that.

I have heard about the lag while installing apps. Honestly I have only noticed it because I have been reading posts about it. I really dont think its that bad and doesnt seem out of the norm.
Battery usage stats not showing seems to be a very common prob with all 300 users. No one seems to have the real answer or fix.

Safety feature when using camera?

When video recording for over 20secs, the screen will go dim and when u go into brightness settings i will get a message saying the device is overheating if you try to change the brightness back to full, this normal?
It happens on both 5.0.1 and 4.4.4..
I checked the temp straight after and it was only at 40c.. I have literally just bought the phone and never experienced screen dimming on the note 3, possible bug, faulty phone?

Not experiencing that on both version even when recording 4K. Maybe you're encountering the issue below.

Yes i do notice the top half of the phone getting really hot, but ive only had the phone since saturday and dont want to root the phone just incase i have to take it back, any other options?
EDIT: Got the phone replaced, using the samsung stock camera the screen will dim a tiny bit and in the brightness settings it will say device is overheating even though phone not warm must be a safety feature to stop phone from overheating itself, downloaded snap camera and there was no screen dimming or warnings in settings. Checked my old note 3 and the same thing is there with the dimming and warning.
I read somewhere about knox being a culprit so i will look into that due to all the security features etc.

[Q] Who else has GpsLocationService_ex wakelock issue?

Does anyone with a Qualcomm or Exynos GS7E have poor battery life b/c you set Location to GPS Only or GPS+WiFi+Data?
It's only on my Sprint GS7E that I'm having this issue. My other devices are fine (Sprint GS6E, N910C Note 4, Nexus 5X).
Checking my mom's phone - a Sprint Note 3 - she doesn't have this issue either.
When our other devices are set to GPS Only, GPS gets fired up only when an app calls for it & therefore doesn't really drain much battery.
But on my GS7E, GPS is constantly activated, despite denying location app permission to all the apps.
Using Wakelock Detector & looking at the CPU Wakelocks, the number one culprit is GpsLocationProvider_ex within Android System.
I began having this issue after the first update for this phone - PC5. PD3 update made no difference. Neither did factory resets.
Any one know how to fix this issue besides turning off location?

Low Performance on Stock ROM

Hello to everyone. I'm using version B35. But other versions have the same problem. Often the performance is very low when the charge goes down. Performance is selected from the power manager, but I am still experiencing this problem. I think it's related to Kernel, but I can not find a solution. I am sure everyone is having this problem. Can you find a solution?

Don't be so sure... I've been using Simple Planes @ max settings and with about 5% battery, and never got below 40-50 fps which is what i always get
Try other governors maybe? Like conservative? I usually find it better than Interactive for performance, especially concerning frame drops, as ironic as that may sound

WhatsApp battery drain

Hi guys, Whatsapp has been particulary taxing on my battery while hardly using it, even after the last update. Battery usage has been around 30% at the end of the day. I've read that its been a problem across multiple brands/models but my brother had no problem on his galaxy s9. Check it out. Anyone has had similar issues with a fix / solution? (I do want to keep getting push notifications tho)
had it once about 2 weeks ago on miui 11, whatsapp just ate my fully charged battery through the night (less than 6h).
update apps, restart phone
you know whatsapp is from Mark Z.? they need to record this and that, download all kinds of files, build your database, so they can "provide better experience"

Disable all notifications from whatsapp (within the app and on the OS)
