Can some of you post pictures of your charging port? Mine looks really low to the bottom and I feel like I bent it trying to stick the charger in. This would ease my mind a bit thanks!

It is very low. Almost on edge.
Woo hoo! Thanks!

So, now that I've realized and begun the painful process of accepting my battery won't make it until my bed time (11ish). Anyone get a good find on an extended battery. Preferably one that doesn't require added bulk. A 2500 mah that fits the stock slot would be soooo nice
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Also interested in this. The phone is so thin a bigger battery might not add too much bulk anyway. Any word on official extended battery?
Just buy a spare battery.
sent from my GALAXY SIII
Nope, I went through that with a captivate. Not gonna keep switching, its too much work especially with a case
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Do a search in this or the Q&A forum. There was someone who found an expensive one but he was getting something like 40 hours usage! The battery comes with its own battery cover that will replace the stock cover.

I'm trying to avoid adding bulk. However, what's the best one that would require a cover?

Just received email reply from Seidio that they are going to make one for the G3 but wouldn't give me an ETA.

Hmm isn't that only 100mah more than stock ? Seems completely pointless , what we need is at least 2500mah or above to get a benefit
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
That's what I'm thinking.

Extended batteries are nice, but you can never find a decent case to fit one. I'll go through the trouble of pulling off my case to pop in my spare battery. :cyclops:
There's already a thread on this in q&a which is where this belongs. Maybe a mod can merge this

Lol, its a fan from an nyko intercooler for xbox 360 soldered to a old usb cable. Even tough the usb port supply only 5v the fan is keeping the atrix cool even at 1.5ghz from the clemmsyn's kernel. This particular atrix was getting so hot the the bottom of the digitizer died from the heat, it was getting so hot that you probably could cook an egg on it. After making this cooling system its as cool as a breeze
awesome :victory:
The two brass contact points just to the bottom-left of the battery. It's a Samsung galaxy S3 sgh-I747 (AT&T)
I haven't put my multimeter on them yet, but willing to bet they are charging ports.if so I'm going to try to make a docking station for it.
Thanks in advance.

Does the s3 have nfc capability? Those look quite a lot like the connections to the backing where the nfc is actually mounted.

Yes it does have nfc built in. But this hardly looks like an antenna to me.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
The antenna would be on the back cover, those are just the connections between the phone hardware and the antenna on the back.
Sent from my HTC One SV using xda premium
That would make sense, except that the back cover of the S3 is just plain flimsy plastic.

hi dude,
thats for wireless charging, dude! if have a back cover so u can do that
^ is right. That's for WiQiQi Wireless Charger Kit, there's a video.

depends if you have set it to grilled cheese mode in ribbon, then you can cook an egg or grilled cheese on it.
I suggest you disuse grilled cheese mode and switch to soundcharge, then you only need to shout at it to charge, or put some music on. Or fart when it's in your pants.

Is it the same when you charge with the stock charger and through usb cable in PC?
no it's not, cause usb carries less then the stock charger. Certain Roms do have fast charging but stockcharger is I think faster.

Does anyone notice a bunch of lines on their screen when the screen is off? Its more noticeable when in a bright room. The lines are made off up small dots.
I got my G2 from someone but I called the warranty department and they sent me out a replacement with the same problem.

Visible. Quite normal on IPS. No.... unless screen is very dim in bright light, it should not be visible. This is actual hardware, not something that switches on and off.
I thought it was my screen protector lol.

Just had my phone out in the sunlight for the first time today, was thrown off then very mesmerized by the grid I could see. It was a trip to catch it at the right angle.
