Cannot be done (for ages now) and is unnecessary. Fully charge, use phone normally to sub-50%, fully charge. End.
Its not needed it auto resets after you turn off the device for like 5 or 10 mins.check it out if you turn off the device it shows from the time of reboot and not last fully charged.

will that help with the full charged at 95 problem?
...
If you mean wiping the stats under battery usage, then no. They get reset at each charge. I don't know of a solution to the apparently incomplete charging. Sometimes mine gets up to 96, other times to 100...who knows?

I have that problem too. Another problem ive been having lately is when i reboot my phone, the battery comes back at abour 40% lower. Its happened a few times where i reboot and have plenty of battery, and when it comes back its at 5%. After a few more reboots it will be back to where it should be.
So on a rooted phone in clockwork recovery, what does the 'reset battery statistics' option do?

My Wildfiire battery doesnt last nearly as long as it did when I first got it.
I have had it with many custom ROM's and 2 RUU's to see if it could be the a software issue but they all do the same.
I have gotten a new battery but does the same.
The only thing is when I install and do all the wipes the battery cache doesnt seem to say its completed and its done that on all the rom's and ruu's.
I am using Rom manager with the lastest clockworkmod.
3G and wifi is always on and has always been that way auto sync is of.
Any ideas ppl?
Would love some help.
cheers
Wow nobody had this problem?
Not me certainly. Battery life actually seems better to me than when I got it, thanks to the CPU Clock setting apps and Custom ROMs.
i've had some problems as well, it stays at 100% for a LONG time and then drops drastically if I'm using mobile data. Try draining fully, boot into recovery and clear battery stats, and then charging full. then don't charge again until dead, after which charge it till its full again. might help.

Actually, when the phone turns off on its own, it still has some juice left, should be more than enough to boot into recovery and clear stats.

Done what you said am charging now but charging can take up to 24hours and more its been getting worse and worse....
Hey,
I have just recently noticed a weird problem on my Arc..
When the battery goes below 20% it shuts down (similar to the way how it would shut down when the battery is out).
Then I need to connect the charger and switch it on, after which the battery will show at 1% and in 5 mins it will change to 21-22%...
so basically below 20% the phone thinks its actually ran out of battery even though it hasnt and hence shuts down..
any ideas about what could be causing this? is it a problem with my phone or the battery?
thanks

First thing you need to have "root". If you don't haven't rooted, use GingerBreak to root. Search the forum for the thread.
Second install Battery Monitor Widget from Market. Open the application (This is a widget. So you may want to insert the widget in your home screen), press menu and click "Statistics" option and it will prompt you for confirmation. Once done reboot to make sure it's cleared properly (Not necessary, but recommended).
Hope this resolves your issue.

I had a similar problem with my arc after charging it for the first time (charged it till 100% with the phone turned on). Then, after I used the phone, when it reached 10%, it just shut down. Then I decided to charge it with the phone turned off and this really helped. After two full charging cycles, the battery is acting normal. Now my arc shuts down at 2% which I think is normal.
Clearing battery stats has worked so far...thanks a lot...

Great to know that. Thanks for the feedback.
When i must wipe my Battery Stats?
Always when you Flash a new Rom or Reflash the rom you must have to wipe your Battery Stats to have the best Battery life from your Device.
How to wipe Battery Stats?
1. charging the battery FULLY
2. boot device to CWM Recovery
3. advanced/Wipe Battery Stats
4. reboot device
5. don't charge the device until the battery still turns off your device because it empty (do not drain with heavy apps like video streaming ect.)
6. now again FULLY charge without interruption
7. Have fun ^^
Hit the Thanks Button if it help!
Thanks
I have woundered why it didn't work on my phone and that was becuse i charged it while i wiped it and i didn't let it drain all the battery
well...you can also wipe that in the xRecovery if you have it
the reason of wiping it is because the battery status will not be accurate.
also, if you found your battery is draining, try to wipe it, then check the running services if there are too much apps running in the background~

wipe it when battery has 100% and after you flashed new rom
The better and easiest way is with battery calibration.apk
Download this: http://db.tt/Ohb9vGgP
And follow the instructions
actually, it usually takes a longer time for the battery to get from 99% to 100%
the reason is... idk...
but even thought it is 99%, it takes a shorter time to consume the battery than it is charged to 100%
thats my experience
If you read the phone manual, it says that happens because it is expanding battery life... (??)

after you wipe the battery stats and reboot your device you have to wait untill your device battery is empty and the phone turned off by herself. 0% battery . After device turned off by herself, charge your device again to 100% without any interruption like reboot or unplug power plug.
Understand? Please excuse my english is not as well.

That's what I don't understand. After I Wipe Battery Stat and reboot the device. I'm waiting, and She's not turned off by herself but I skip Step 5. and everything works. still 73% after 2 hours ...
@azyar
1. Charge the phone (100%)
2. Wipe battery stats
3. Reboot the phone
4. Now use the phone until the battery has gone from 100% to 0% (when the battery reaches 0%, it will turn off by itself)
5. Now charge the phone 100% again without interruptions (don't even touch it)
When battery level has reached 100% (not 99%), you may use your phone again.
Well, when I checked my Battery usage in the options, I see apps listed as numbers like 99021 and so on. How do I find out what apps these are.
Thanks
Did you try clicking on refresh screen button on battery usage screen? Might be a restart might help.
Do you currently have a layer theme installed.

This sometimes happens for apps that have been uninstalled.
No. this is all stock. Not even unlocked boot loader
Guess you might have to do a factory reset and start over again.

@kappadappa is right. This happens when you uninstall an app. It will disappear once you charge it and reset battery stats.
