Is anyone aware of the Netflix problem with our note 3 seems like it's note 3's in general not just Verizon. Does anyone have a working Netflix app?

Netflix works perfectly on my N3. It was also just updated on the play store. What issues are you having??

Netflix has never been a problem, hulu on the other hand has to buffer every 60 seconds.
Galaxy Note 3, HTC Rezound, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Evo, HTC Touch Pro 2, LG Voyager
I have both apps and haven't noticed an issue. Granted I use Netflix way more frequently. Buffering I would think is a connection issue.

Yeah YouTube was actually giving me issues with stuttering, but that's literally the only app giving me issues.
This phone is such a beast, it's pretty hard for any app to really put any strain on it.

This may seem obvious, but did you guys try uninstalling Netflix and reinstalling?

Hmm, that's really odd...I just tried mine again and it's working fine, HD is even very smooth.
You sure it's up to date on the play store? The only other thing I could think of is clearing your cache.
Settings..storage.. tap "cached data" then clear, then reboot just for good measure. See if that helps.

Just tried mine and it's working just fine. HBO was finally fixed as well , so between those and the show box app I watch TV on my phone quite a bit

Netflix has always worked perfectly for me (rooted phone running beans ROM)
It works fine on the Parrot Android unit installed in my truck also.
I'm on Hyperdrive but I doubt the rom I am on is the problem idk

It's the ROM. there is an issue with the Bean's MJE base. It's being looked in to, might be better off going back to stock in the mean time.

Figured with all the snow we got, and salt on my car it was time to get it washed.
So i tested my Atrix Recording out with 720p.
Its the whole car wash, so if you dont want to watch/listen you get the idea of how clear and awesome it is, give it, to atleast 1:55 seconds

Its a dubstep song called heartbeat, i forget the artist.... chase something.. ill try and find it...
it was just what was playing while i was in the car wash..
the bass sounds horrible, the phone just cant handle it, i have 2 x 12" Kicker CVX in the trunk.
but sounds fun and fine while in the car

got same message here also. Tried to watch it on my iPad. But I was able to watch other Atrix 4g 720p test videos and quality is great. Looks even better playing on my IPad IPS screen.
Any tricks on getting recorded videos to play ? Works well on my one s.

I have u verse and had no idea you could get your recorded shows onto the phone through the app. I know the app has its own on demand though.

Yeah on my one s I can go to my recordings in the u verse app and watch them on my phone. Maybe it only works on ICS.
When I click the watch button on the nexus it plays the sound but there's no picture.

OK, I see what you're taking about. If u verse also has that show on mobile on demand, it'll let you access it from the recorded shows portion. With that said though, all I get is audio on both video resolutions. Funny how it works on an at&t branded phone... Cause of worked on my vivid too.

That's not even an issue. Smart features only work on the stock samsung apps which is a shame.

That is an issue, i believe in the ad (first post), Samsung is showing that smart pause works on the youtube app.

I've tested it but it works not always. The light conditions have to be very good :/
It works fine on the stock video player so I don't see why it wouldn't work in the youtube app under the same lighting conditions..

He's right. Tried using youtube in bed, lights off and smart pause doesnt work. Other than that, it works flawlessly.

Works on YouTube for me, just not in low light which is understandable considering how bad pictures look in low light, hows software meant to see our eyes if we can't

Smart stay and smart pause works with the youtube app. As they said, your face should be clearly seen for it to work properly.
It works for me. It drove me crazy at first because I didn't realise it was enabled, and wondered why youtube seemed to be buffering every couple of seconds.

So xbmc on the ouya is pretty much the best experience i´ve gotten so far on a small setup! love it.
But when i install the netflix apk, its really hard / impossible to navigate with the D-pad, plus the quality of the stream seems to be aimed at mobile phones. Anyone gotten a better APK where you can browse with the d-pad and get a good quality stream?
And youtube, i managed to install the youtube APK, and the streams are looking great, but i cant login, plus it seems i just find the stock mobile version, ive heard that the google tv is alot better, but does it enable log in as well?
Sorry for the wall of text, but these are the 2 missing features i really want.
I have installed the tv versions of both apps and they are easier to navigate. No problem logging in but I do have the google store mod.
Netflix quality can be poor at times.

This was the same version I had already. It still doesn't work well with controller without touch pad and quality still sucks for a tv unfortunately

Did you ever figure this out? My wife hates me for putting for taking out our ****ty streamer and replacing it with the Ouya. On Netflix, can't scroll through right or left when picking when you want to watch and can't scroll down to select episodes of TV shows when there is more than 5-6.

The easiest solution I have found it just have a bluetooth mouse. You can just drag the screen up and down, etc as if you were touching the screen. It works pretty well.
Or you can use the touchpad of the controller to scroll. Double tab and then drag up. It's a bit sluggish but it works.
The only problem I have is that the playback stops if the controller turns itself off.
using netflix apk 1.8.1
i got the 1.8.1 working with no playback issues, and with some use of ouya control, does not pause when the control turns off.
My only gripe is the subtitles are very small... can any dev can do a modified netflix 1.8.1 apk with bigger fonts?

PS- I don't really play games on my phone, so game recommendations are appreciated, but I probably won't buy any!
You NEED ROM toolbox pro (there's a sale right now) it has all the goods you need. And Titanium backup if you don't have it.

I agree. Those two are very good, but also I love the SlideIT keyboard. You can try the free version for like two weeks before buying. Poweramp is a great media player that I bought way back on the OG Evo, but I do like the stock one on this phone. Drastic is a great DS emulator if you wanna catch up on Pokemon. And of course there is XDA Premium or HD.

I don't ever do games but I tried Zen Pinball's Empire Strikes Back and wow that's amazing. Its only like a buck and really shows off the phones screen. Battery sucker though.
Lapse It PRO is a really awesome time lapse/stop motion app. You can record in full hd with pro, me and the kid been making Lego movies with it.

The S4 can already record in slow/fast mo.
These are most of my paid apps. I see others recommend them too and you've already got some too.
Titanium Pro, RomToolbox, RootExplorer, Greenify (paid/donation) version, Smart IR Remote, Mobile Odin Pro, SuperSU Pro, 3Minit (paid) and iSyncr for iTunes.

Lol I shouldve emphasized the stop motion animation part, it's actually really cool, you can set it to auto so you don't have to keep pausing and recording and it's extremely fluid. If you like making stop motion movies anyway.
