The Best Xperia Play Games

Hi there just a discussion thread to see what peoples favourite games are! Please list what you think is good and bad about them
Personally some of my favourites are-
NOVA 3 good because its one of the best FPS runs quite smoothly for me has its bugs buts its a gameloft game so iy will eg sometimes will run forward randomly and cant get into 4x4 have to restart check point and for some reason when im inthe 4x4 I cant movr the gun
GTA 3 says it all really not buggy somtimes lagsfor a seond but other than that flawles
FIFA 12- I love football so I may be biased was pretty laggy until I installed dixperia 2 and v6 supercharger noe it runs perfectly
Modern combat 3 - great gameplay and runs well but very buggy controls often stick and force closes when the controls stick but love it when it runs properly
Others that nearly made it- wild blood and bards tale
So please tell me your favourites so I can add them to my collection!

Virtual Tennis Challenge is also a good game~~~

For me are dead trigger for excellent graphics at ultra high settings via mod,gta 3 not lag at all with my custom rom and 16gb class 10 memory and the emulators are nice cause u remember the old times...

Yep -emulators for me as well -my gnex has a bigger screen and better guts for touch games but it can't hold a candle to the console goodness that the xplay offers

The emulators (snesdroid, genplusdroid, fpse, tiger arcade) really very nice.
Other games:
Bruce Lee, Fight Game Heroes, Fifa 2012, Dead Trigger, Assassins Creed, The Amazing Spiderman, Nova 3, Batman TDKR, NFS Most Wanted, and much others,

I have to add bren playing backstab got to 54% complete and then I get dieing eveytime I went to play didnt even see the character or anything else as soon as it loads dead started again iland im up to 42% now and uts a good game but soooooooooooooooo buggy like walking in the air horse flying and other stupid things damn gameloft should be called bugloft

Save yourself the trouble and stop playing now, wish I did before I wasted my time completing it...the game is another load of crap from Gameloft.
Buggy as hell and there is absolutely no ending.

Yeh the more I play the more buggy its gets looks like it had the potential to be a awesome game but they just rushed it as per :/

The only decent GameLoft game is Asphalt in my opinion.
Maybe their Golf game too, but I prefer Tiger Woods.
The rest of them are all just inferior rip offs of A+ titles on consoles.
Plus, their store sucks...can I even re-download my games that I bought off them!?

Asphalt is OK I preference need for speed most wanted and tbh you are supposed to be able to get the games you've downloaded off the wap shop again but when wen on downloades game it gave me games I had not even downloaded paid games for free woo ****ty bugloft lol best thing is to back up all apps up using titanium backup

The best game I ever played is Dead Space

Dead trigger, order and chaos online (so far, I just use the touch screen for camera control, customer service is worse than garbage), Destinia with gamekeyboard, dungeon hunters 2, gameboid (mainly Eragon), Dead Space, pocket legends (due to the fact its cross platform with google chrome), and Star Battalion...there are more but I sont have them installed atm.

Let's add and real racing 3 to the list! Really poor optimization EA! It is unacceptable to stutter on high end device, and noy just on XZ, but with other phones too.

Check what background processes are running 1st on your handset. Something could be hogging resources. I have not had any problems with any game so far.

Real Racing 3 looks as good as any other phone, is completely smooth for me. And I'm no casual gamer like some of you lot. I can tell the difference between 30/45/60 fps and tell when it happens.

IronMan 3 is working fine for me, it stutters a bit when entering the menus, but while playing it is very smooth and fast.
Real Racing 3 is running at 25-30 fps, but it keeps the same framerate along all the game with no stutters or noticeable drops.

The only stutter that I've noticed on Real Racing 3 is at the starting grid, before the start, when there's more than 10 cars ready to go...

for Iron Man 3, the further the distance you're flying, the more the game will stutter. And yes the menu is not very fluid either.

when playing, turn off stamina mode

For me, Infecrinator really stutters in the menu(the game is 2D) and real racing sometimes when I'm speeding and at the start of every race.Also can't download GTA games, no matter which country I'm from

With the GTA games, it will probably be the developer's fault that they haven't flagged it as compatible with devices with the Z's resolution/dpi.

I can confirm that iron man 3 lagged. Dungeon defenders 4 on highest settings lags when you have a mob and use spells/skills.

Wow, try with inner camera, manual acceleration and brakes on the big races with lot of cars! The game stutters like hell, especially when the phone gets hot, and thermal control slows down cpu! I also can tell the difference in fps, and this is nowhere near to the satisfaction! It is a real shame, that the iphone 5 with far less raw power, can handle the game flawless! Put them side by side, and see the difference for yourself! And please, don't tell me that IOS is better by default in games!This is no excuse! That is not a good job done by the developer, or i am start to thinking that, the FullHD is too high for our CPU-GPU?!

I purchased GTA III and Vice City two weeks ago for my Z (damn i missed the special offer), and had no problems downloading, installing or playing. Now if i go to Play store it says Vice City is not compatible with my phone. Maybe they discovered some nasty bug and dropped compatibility until they relase an update. I play it and it works very well for me.
GTA III is still flagged as compatible though.

The fifa companion app and age if empires also stutters and lags.

I'd have to agree with the people saying Real Racing 3 slows down bad on the Xperia Z. Most people who say that it runs fine probably just tried out the first three races. The first real test to see if the phone runs the games properly is by playing the first endurance race; if you manage to go through that race without slowdowns at the end, then, let's say I'd like to know how you set your phone.
That said, all is not lost for Xperia Z users for that game. I did what most people would consider stupid and google'd how I could configure graphic settings of an app. I eventually found an app in Google Play that allows you to configure graphics settings for Real Racing 3; after setting it to medium, the game runs real well now. Turns out reflections are probably the resource hog that causes slowdowns.
So far, games I've tried that slow down in the Xperia Z:
- Real Racing 3 (unless you tweaked the graphics)
- Dungeon Defenders (when you're dealing with huge waves)

How do you guys like this phone as a portable console and what games are you playing most often ?
These are the games I'm playing most often : Modern Combat 5, Boom Beach, GTA San Andreas, Real Steel WRB and Soulcraft 2.

Two new games are out for Android. First one is the internationally acclaimed WW2 franchise :
and the second one is relased long time ago for PSP and IOS devices but now it's out on Playstore and it has enhanced graphics, lighting and explosion effects

Waiting on mine to arrive, but can't wait to try out a bunch of humble bundle stuff. I was playing Shadowrun on my Z1 but i think it may be too small for that and baldurs gate. Any experience? Excited to try Exiles and a few others.

I don't prefer games on mobile but this looks awesome!

I was playing at full graphics and it ran great. Stopped working correctly after upgrading to lollipop. Uninstalled eventually and didn't look back. Compared to DH4 this felt like a real slot machine and too much going on beyond dungeon crawling. Replaced with XCOM,which plays beautifully on this device. Worth the space.

Game suggestions for a5/a3

Hi all....
As a gaming lover I like to play games on my a5. So I would like to get/give suggestions for great games that runs well on a5/a3. Here is the list of my favourite games.
1) Shadowgun deadzone
2) Dead Trigger 2/Unkilled
3) Asphalt nitro
4) Asphalt 8
5) Swordigo
6) GTA 3/4
7) Modern Combat 5
All these games runs well on a5. If you know any other great games than tell us.

I have the A3 which is a little less powerful than the A5 but I have not come across anything yet that it has struggled to play. I can also run epsxe on it quite happily without dropping any frames. Here's a non-exhaustive list of the games I have:
Aralon sword and shield
Castle of illusion
Colin mcrae rally
Marvel contest of champions
Limbo
The cave
Lost city
Pivot
Tomb Raider relic run
Shadowgun
Symphony of the Night
For some of these like epsxe, Castle of illusion, the cave & shadowgun I use a Bluetooth gamepad designed specifically for phones that makes life a lot easier than messing around with awkward touch screen controls. You can pick a half decent one up pretty cheap too.

Lags on games with my Nexus 6P

Hi guys, i've bought my nexus since april
I'm seeing some lags when i play on games that haven't got too much high graphics like Clash Royale and BBTAN but when i play on games that are "heavier" than BBTAN like Asphalt 8 and Mortal Combat X there aren't any lags.
Are you having the same problems that i have?

Hello! It might be due to your wifi, you see, games like clash royal are very wifi based, while asphalt games do not use Wi-Fi.

Clash lags for me regularly regardless of the strength of my WiFi connection. Seems to improve with a reboot.

Hey Im having the same problems too BB-Tan seems to be dropping frames a lot, even though its not a game that requires data connection. Pokemon Go is choppy in the menus and my friend's one plus x is completely smooth. I have done extensive research regarding the Nexus 6P and its lag in graphically intensive games. No one seems to have found a solution, fix or even an explanation. Whereas there are tons of people talking about how smooth their nexus 6p is in games... Any help is appreciated.

I play Order and Chaos 2 and it only starts lagging after playing a while and the phone has got hot. I'm using the developer preview of android N, everything on my phone is stock.

Yeah, i play Clash Royale and when phone get hot, it starts lagging.

Edit: Opps, posted question in wrong thread.
But while I'm in this one, I fixed my game lag in Clash of Clans by editing/replacing the thermal-engine.conf file in the /system/etc/ directory with one that allows the SoC to get a bit more toasty before it throttles at all. It does make my 6P a tad warmer from what I can tell through my thinnish case, but for the performance trade off, it's well worth.
