OS - Paranoid Android
Recovery TWRP
I flashed my kernel that I had just compiled. After flashing it I rebooted and it brought up a screen saying:
Fastboot mode
udc_start()
I was curious and since my kernel obviously wasn't working I decided to try flashing back the stock kernel for paranoid android...
The problem is that I decided to do this while in this fastboot mode.
I ran the typical fastboot flash boot boot.img command with the boot.img which I see now was a big mistake.
Now my phone still not boot into the os, nor will it boot into recovery. The only thing I can get it to load into is Download Mode. Well ok, so I go to flash the stock image from lg using LGFlashTool which I've done before. Except now it tells me the that Device Model is incorrect for the image I am trying to flash?...
Has anyone had this issue or have any idea on how to fix? I've tried using the LGMobile Support Tool to update recovery and potentially flash the stock image that way but it hangs up and the log show's that it's pretty much erroring out.
No one?

Hey guys, I flashed SmoothRom via that app goo.im, and when I did it, it said that I needed a compatible recovery, so I flashed the one that it recomended. Well I flashed the rom, and now my Tablet won't boot properly. I can get it to fastboot, but even when I try to flash a recovery from fastboot, it gets stuck at the boot screen (Yes my bootloader is unlocked). I've been trying to use the Nexus 7 toolkit to flash the recovery, and it is saying that it is flashing successfully, but I still cannot boot into recovery. Any ideas? I know I'm not totally bricked cause I can still get into fastboot, I just need recovery to work so that I can flash a new rom and fix this issue!
Fixed it! Just flashed the stock recovery, wen't back into fastboot and flashed CWM. Mod's you can delete this thread now
Hey guys, I flashed a p802 ROM on my p800(att) and I'm stuck on fastboot. I removed and reflashed recovery. Nothing happened. I can't return it to stock cause the model its showing in download mode is p802. Is there anything I could do?
When i turn it on its stuck at fastboot mode started - udc start. I can connect it my computer and recognize it.

did you use fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ?
after that you were not able to get into recovery?
Was the 802 ROM a modified stock ROM?
If it was a stock modified ROM then find an original AT&T boot.img, you can download any ATT ROM and extract the boot.img. From there get back into fastboot and flash boot.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
once you have boot.img flashed you should be able to boot into Android. Do not go into recovery and wipe or format anything.

Can you get into recovery? Which recovery you have? If you can get into recovery, then flash the PA ROM again so you can get into fastboot, download CM for the 800, extract the boot.img from CM and flash that boot.img
turn the device on holding the power down key and power button, as soon as the bootscreen comes up...release the buttons and re press them immdeatley.
this should put you on the recovery screen, hopefully from there you can restore your phone.
cheers.

from fastboot flash clockwork recovery if you are not using it and then see if you can mount USB storage. Not sure if it is in twrp or not. Did you use the CM boot.img from the D800 CM 10.2? It should have boot. Did you wipe system?
evidently I've screwed up something on my vs980. When I try to boot to recovery I get a fastboot screen with "secure booting error Cause: boot certification verify.
A little background:
I had been running Optimus g3 then flashed xdabbeb 982.5 (following all steps).
After that I thought I'd give AICP a try. after flashing the radio all was good.
I think this is where things got bad: I flashed 24a radio and restored an optimus backup, saved some stuff then restored xdabbeb 982.5. At this point I got a bootloop and dirty flashed 982.5 on top of the backup - problem solved.... until yesterday when I tried to boot to recovery and got the error.
My phone is working fine but I cant get to recovery.
Anybody got ideas?
hmm dunno..maybe try flash a recovery again? or push from adb recovery files dunno... you can even try use autorec app again to flash a recovery Oo maybe this works and after you can get in recovery
so you can try auto rec in order to flash recovery again .
you can enter download mode and go back to stock with kdz
or hmm you can use fastboot if you know how to push files etc etc

Ok so recently I was backing up and wiping my phone as a procedure I do every couple of months to make sure everything's up-to-date.
But when I tried to boot into it this time, it got stuck on Motorola's unlocked bootloader screen and won't boot into recovery mode or turn off.
Everytime I try to turn it off, it reboots to said screen and gets stuck. My previous root was phh's Superuser, and I was upgrading it to Magisk's root.
I was also upgrading twrp 3.0.0 athene to twrp 3.1.1.
Currently I have the stock firmware downloaded from AndroidSages and the OTA Update pulled from my phone, as well as all the files stated above.
All I'm trying to do is boot into recovery mode, as I can make my way from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hold power and volume down for 2-5mins it will boot into bootloader from there you can boot into recovery or flash the stock rom
ADB will not work unless you are booted into bootloader or the os

That's the issue, it's not booting into recovery mode. If I could boot into TWRP I could push the stock firmware to the phone and I think I'd be all well and good.
What seems to be happening is that because the warning message comes before the phone can boot into recovery mode I can't boot into recovery mode.
That advice would be more helpful for someone with a different issue.

So you saying you can boot into bootloader
If yes then try reflashing the twrp
Or just boot recovery using fast boot
fastboot boot recovery twrp.img
Try the older version

Maybe I wasn't being clear the first time but here's a vidual interpretation. The issue I'm having is that I can't boot into the bootloader, if I could I'd do what you said.
A Proper Load: Device Powers On > Motorola Boot Warning > Bootloader/Recovery/Normal Boot
My Issue: Device Powers On > Motorola Boot Warning [Freeze]
Somehow it fixed itself. All I did was reinstall Android Studio and the Android SDK and it work.
ADB wasn't showing any devices before the install, but now it is.
In case this happens in the future, can someone figure out what the hell happened?
Now that issue is solved, my wifi seems to not be working. From the moment I booted into the stock rom I haven't been able to connect/view any wifi networks.
I downloaded from asus website the stock firmware and when installing it screen goes black and not phone won't turn on..Maybe the issue is that i was using lineage recovery instead of stock recovery when updating...Not sure, does not matter...
Now when turning on phone is stuck for a while on asus logo and then shutdowns...Same happens when I try to boot into recovery...I can access fastboot though...
I have tried to flash several recoveries with fastboot, using fastboot flash recovery 'name.img' even though writing recovery shows okay, I still can not boot into recovery after...
Is there anyway I can unbrick my device? I read something about QFIL and QPST but have not figured how to use it or find any tutorial...
