I have installed CyanogenMod on many devices before, and have never had as many issues as with the LG G2.
I was able to install CWM Recovery, and I used that to backup my existing ROM, and to Install CM-10.2, the build for the vs980.
After installing, and rebooting, I am getting stuck on an infinite boot screen. And I have no idea how to bot into recovery.
The default boot to recovery / factory reset screen is supposed to be, holding the power button until the LG Logo appears, then prelease, and hold again... This does not work, it just goes right back into trying to boot CM.
If I hold Power + Vol+, I enter some Firmware Update screen.
How would one enter CWM Recovery using only hardware? And how can I fix my infinite bootloop?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I found out that I was going into this mode, and not recovery / factory reset... because I was still plugged in via USB... As soon as I unplugged, I was able to do this as expected.
Mod, please delete. I am unable, and I have solved my own problem.

Hi, my D802 is stuck in a bootloop, where it just shows the LG splashscreen and the custom ROM's boot animation, but it won't get past there.
Unable to get into recovery either. Phone screen just flashes and LG logo comes back up whenever I try the recovery combo (power + down then power + down). I can get into download mode but I can't seem to get adb to work, and then use [adb reboot recovery] to boot into recovery. Drivers all installed, and all are the latest. Recovery was working fine before this and it screwed up only after I flashed a custom ROM.
What am I doing wrong? My phone is now nothing but a paperweight since I can't get into the OS nor the recovery. Thanks.
My phone won't boot after installing the latest DU custom rom. I followed the steps here https://plus.google.com/+AlexCruz/posts/JJ5d9v6DArW - rooted and installed latest clockwork mod recovery, did a backup, and wiped everything, then installed the custom rom. But now it is stucked at the Dirty Unicorns boot screen.. Please help.
Some extra info: I was on 4.2.2 (802 international) before the flash
Edit: i can't even get to recovery now, by holding power and volume down buttons at LG logo. Is my phone dead?

Are you getting to the factory hard reset prompt? You have to go through that to get back into the recovery. Then you can just restore from Backup.

i was on stock 4.2.2 i am also stuck... i tried to flash recovery ... now i am stuck at fastboot mode... no recovery no download mode even my pc is detectiing my phone as a usb modem phone adb port... dont know what to do... have no idea if my phone is recoverable or not?

"You should be able to get to CWM recovery by using the hardware button (power and volume down held down, flash LG logo for a second, and then shuts off--only then you can turn it back on by holding power and volume down together until LG logo pops on, then let go of both buttons quickly, hold down both power and volume down again, and then quickly let go of the volume down button: a white factory reset screen should pop up and then you can push power button alone twice to enter CWM recovery).
If above does not work, you may need to KDZ back to stock using download mode (google LG G2 download mode) and USB cable (the one that comes with the phone as some USB cable won't work as they're charge only cable). You'll have to reroot with IOROOT25 and start over again."

I have no idea what fastboot or download mode is but your phone should be soft-bricked? If you can get into recovery or the factory reset screen you should be safe.
I wasn't able to get into the recovery at first but then I kept trying and trying and managed to get in by luck. Lol. I then wiped everything including Dalvik cache in Advanced and rebooted and was relieved to find it booted into Dirty Unicorns. I guess i was lucky.

I was trying to update and install a custom rom on my daughters LG 705G with ICS. The phone is rooted and I installed SU. When I tried to install CWM it is now stuck in startup loop and I keep getting a driver error on my PC.
The phone just keeps rebooting, will not stay on.
Does the CWM gets installed ? If yes you can flash a custom ROM then wipe data to fix it.
To enter CWM, you can use the button combo; Home + Vol. Down then press Power until it vibrates

So I rooted my phone, installed CWM, and then using Rom Manager app I rebooted to recovery mode, before that I was trying every combination I found on the internet about how to enter the recovery mode, but no success. Anyway, after rebooting into recovery I installed CM 10, but the phone got stocked into CM boot loop. Now I can't access recovery mode to reinstall the rom, or install a new one. I also tried emergency mode (holding the vol up then plugging the usb cable) , which didn't work either. How can I enter the recovery mode? Please help! Is there any way to access the recovery mode without the buttons combination in this state(when phone is soft bricked) ?

I cannot access recovery too! I have TWRP installed but i tried every combination on internet and till can't access it Do somebody know any combinations to get into it?
I remember that once upon a time I was able to enter the recovery. But only once. I pressed randomly all buttons and succeeded. More times have I failed
Maybe it is the newest recovery fault.

V10 - power and volume lower (-) after the lights turn on release power and volume buttons and press only home button
V20 - power, volume lower and home, when you feel a vibration release all the buttons
So im trying to root my lg k20 plus. I flash the twrp recovery image and it says everything is successful. Then reboot to the factory reset screen by holding volume down and power then releasing power when i see the lg logo and pressing again. I guess the k20 plus doesnt have a regular recovery screen all it is is a factory reset anyways select yes twice to reset and it should boot into twrp recovery. only mine won't.. it goes to the screen with a yellow exclamation point that says "your device software cannot be checked for corruption. lock bootloader", and then will flash the lg logo and go straight back to the other screen and just cycle over and over forever. i can just press power and it will boot up like normal but i can't get to twrp recovery. I;ve tried recovery images from two other sources but nothing still any help would be appreciated

Did you save the twrp "recovery.img" as a different name? At first i named it something else and had the same problem. I just renamed it "recovery" and all was well.
