[Q] "Loss of service" - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone know why I get an audible "loss of service" message every now and then and how to stop it? Thanks...

Settings>Sound>Touch feedback & system>Sound when roaming> uncheck. Annoyed the hell out of more for a couple days. Pops sound on network drop as well, not just roaming. Hidden pretty good.

Thanks for replying, unfortunately when I navigated there, it was already unchecked!

Check, reboot, uncheck, reboot. Solved in my Verizon variant.

message from network.

i recently upgraded the rom on my wizard and now when i switch it on i get a "message from network" notification telling me what area code to use for where i am.
This morning i kept getting the message every 10 seconds until i switched flight mode on and then off.
Is there a registry setting to turn off this annoying, unwelcomed addition.
Thanx
I'm meeting this problem either...Can't find a way to fix it...
these are cell broadcast messages.
Some networks have them, most don't.
You can switch off receiving these messages via Phone / options / More / Broadcast Channels.
Sometimes when you switch on the phone you might such a message anyway.
@edsub
No,that option has been switched off yet. Thanks anyway.
Hmmm, must be something within the ROM.I just replaced all the shortcut in startup folder,no good. The message is really annoying...

I have a new Prophet (Jamin) and I'm getting the same annoying message mostly when I do a soft reset. The other day it started giving these stupid messages again and again every few seconds. There were at least 10 network messages in a row. I have gone to phone settings and sent the settings to the network in every category. Now it seems to only happen when I soft reset...sometimes.
I flashed new I-mate ROM.This issue has gone.I've been with Qtek,O2,I-mate and T-Mob.Seems only T-Mob Rom makes this trouble...

How do I disable Area/Tower Notification Popup

I live in an area with weak signal. Every once in a while when my 6800 gets signal, it provides a notification popup showing Area e.g. "Pune"
It occurs god-knows-how-many-times a day, and I am irritated as hell.
I guess some registry settings are needed to fix it. Can anyone please help?
Settings, Sounds and Notifications - Notifications tab?
Or...
Settings, Phone, Services?
One of those should have a setting...

Notification issue - Samsung GalaxyS5 PLEASE HELP

I have the Samsung GalaxyS5 from Verizon. Recently I noticed I have been getting notification sound/vibrate when I don't even get a notification. I have tried what seems to be everything and just can't seem to get it to stop. I also noticed that it happens every 5 minutes - on the dot. Even when I put my phone on silent it still vibrates. I know this in right, I'm thinking I have some type of bug or virus. I have the Verizon Protect which scans for viruses and such. According to that, I have nothing wrong. I had a system update which I installed a week ago. This hasn't been happening for that long, only about 2 days. But every 5 minutes exactly I get the sound of a text, with no text.
If anyone has any idea I am up to all options. I have went through numerous threads on different websites and nothing seems to be working for me.
I just need someone with a bit more tech skills than what I have!!
Please help me out. Thanks a bunch!!!!

It's not so easy to identify an app that make a notification sound/vibration. Just some suggestions:
- If there is any notification message on the notification bar, long tap on it and select "App info" to see it belong to which app.
- Check yourself what apps you have installed recently. Try to uninstall some apps that you suspect.
- Use Permission Explorer to check for apps that have "Vibrate" permission.

[Q] Voice Search Disconnected - LG G Watch R

Any voice search i try results in a disconnected notification even though everything is connected and working.
All notifications are coming through. Some searches will work but when they do it ends up saying "try again on phone" or "sorry that didn't work"
Some of these notifications are actually showing up on the phone even with the error message but most aren't.
After a reboot it will work maybe one or two times but i still get the "try again on the phone" everytime.
I am running build number KNX01R and all apps are updated on phone. I have uninstalled every other android wear app on phone.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Couple of issues

Hello.
Had this phone for over a year now, completely stock, not rooted (current looking into rooting)
Couple of issues with it since day one...
I loose phone signal and internet signal for no apparent reason. To cure this I have to go to settings and disconnect from the network then reconnect and its ok again. Any idea why this happens?
Contacts play up, I loose my contacts for some reason even though I save them to phone and Sim and also backup to Google. When I loose them I have to go to Google and re-download them. I get the error message "contacts has stopped"
Also if I go to a text message and try to call that person from the text message menu I get "contacts has stopped"
Any help with these issues please
Thanks
Oooops sorry wring section.
Please delete.

Heyyo, hmm can you please clarify which Le Max 2 you have? X820 is Chinese, x821 is Indian and x829 is North American.
If you're unsure which model you have can you please provide the link as to where you bought it?
Can you also please specify your version of EUI?
This should help give us an idea as to how we can help you
