Hey guys, i have a huge problem with my Lg g2 (international version),
I've rooted it and flash cwm on it.
So, today i wondered that the phone automatic updates itself. i've got a download notification and i click on it, no thinking what i do.
It was a official update, and i click to install it. The Failure.
My G2 reboots and go into CWM.
i've tried to go to Lg mobile support tool but no result.
should i factory reset ?
I'm on stock rom.
please HELP Me.
I have a better idea to repair this problem.
1- You have to install LG Phone drivers and Android.sdk
2- Download TWRP for LG G2 and paste it to platform-tools folder in android.sdk direction on your PC
3- Go to recovery and plug the phone to PC
4- Next, in your phone recovery CWM you have to choose install zip and install.zip from sideload. Then wait for install the drivers of phone on your PC.
5- Open console in folder platform-tools (shift + PPM) and type adb sideload nameofTWRPfile.zip
6- Then reboot phone
7- Next enter to another time to recovery (now will be TWRP recovery)
8- Enter advanced and terminal console
9- Choose select and type the second option from this site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2451696
10- Reboot phone
In my case is everything ok, but you have to remember that you can't install any OTA on custom ROM !
Sorry, but my english is not so good

I thought about windows console. Push shift and PPM in the same time, on the free space in the folder "platform-tools" on your PC and choose the option "open window console" or similar. In polish this option called "Otwórz okno polecenia tutaj".
Yes that is the code (second frame)

You mean to write "Open window console" after 'platform-tools"?

Hey guys, this is a cross-post from the OPPO forums.
One of the guys needs some help, here's the story:
Okay, here is BUMBUMBUM's story:
"ok well first started yesterday by rooting my device then downloading goomanager from the playstore and using that to install TWRP recovery once I had that installed I downloaded a cm nightly and flashed it using TWRP it worked realized that stock firmware provided better battery life so I started searching for ways to unroot and return to stock saw a couple post about just flashing the stock rom so I went ahead and did it after I restarted my device noticed I still had TWRP so I went into recocvery and started wiping the dalvik/cache hoping it would return to stock didnt work so after couuntless wipes I think it was when I wiped the system that it started saying I had no OS"
"after I tried to connect my device to my computer to see if i could transfer the rom.zip that way but my computer wasnt recognizing the device so I went on the forums and xda and searched, I came across this post and followed the steps. But when I try to sideload it gives me the error *cannot read 'sideload* and if I try to push it to my device using adb push I get an error that I can not stat the file.."
I've tried to help him but I didn't succeed. As far as I know he did everything right..
He has all the drivers/the ROM and the correct settings but we still couldn't get it working.
Do any of you have any ideas?
Steps we went through:
1. Connect your phone make sure it's actually connected and you have the drivers.
If you don't have the drivers check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983470
2. Rename the ROM you want to flash to something basic, I used Find5.zip
3. Open CMD (command prompt), navigate it to the folder you placed the ROM
(e.g. code: cd C:\Users\Jelle\Downloads\ will navigate to my Downloads folder)
4. Boot to recovery on your phone and enable the ADB sideload function.
5. in CMD type adb sideload Find5.zip
6. Let TWRP or CWM flash the zip and prompt for reboot.
7. Reboot and be happy, your phone is fixed!
Found a way to get ADB Push working!
Hey Guys,
after I accidentially made quite the same mistake as posted above with my Find 5 I tried everything to get a Firmware on my Device.
Finally I got it working!
So here is how I did it:
1. Get all Drivers - google for ADB Driver for all Devices
2. Get the ADB Driver for the Find 5 ([oppo.com/index.php?q=software/view&sw_id=631) and unzip them!
3. Connect your Find 5 (While in TWRP) to your Computer important is not to select "adb sideload" just leave it like you got into recovery!!! then --> go to "Device Manager" and look for Android. The must be a warning. So rightclick on your device and click on install/update driver. Then after your computer can't find the driver go to the directory where you downloaded the Oppo Find 5 ADB drivers. Then select "manually search for local files" and choose the unzipped folder of the drivers. Then click next. After your PC installed the drivers download the Android SDK and try to get the ADB Shell working.
4. Download the latest Stock Rom and rename it to e.g. "stock".
5. Goto your cmd with running ADB and do "adb push /[path to your file]/stock.zip /sdcard
6. Hit Enter and wait for about 3 Minutes! (Don't Panic the file is large :silly
7. After the file was transfered succesfully, click on "Install" on your Phone and select the "stock.zip"
8. After installing reboot and enjoy your Find 5! :good:
Cheers,
Bent
I hope I could have helped some people, sorry if my explanation is not the best for you, I am German so my Windows does PM me for help!

Only Have in the Phone the CWM R 5.5.0.4 nothing more, i try to install the drivers in win 7 64 and allways fail :/ how i can solve this, i'm so nervous OMG
Relax, we got you.
Driver installation for Windows is not straight forward. Plug in your phone, then open device manager. You will see an unrecognized device there. Right click it, select settings. Click 'Update driver', then choose the 'From this computer' option. Select the driver folder you downloaded. This should work. If it doesnt, click on the option 'Chose from list of producers', select 'Android' or simply all devices, search for OPPO and select the appropiate driver (Android ADB interface).
This should install the driver correctly. After that, get ADB and fastboot up and running: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Install a current recovery via fastboot. Search the forum for how to do this in detail. The quick version is put your phone into fastboot mode, plug into PC, start fastboot and type 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'.
Then push a current ROM to your phone via ADB. Again, search the forum on how to do this. Do a full wipe in the recovery and install a new ROM.
Please report back if this worked so others with the same problem can use this in the future.

The only thing i need to know was what step i need make to detect the Oppo drivers, you say " click on the option 'Chose from list of producers', select 'Android' or simply all devices, search for OPPO and select the appropiate driver (Android ADB interface)." after that problem solved because i do this kind of things many times before in other phones and its easy.
When drivers are installed successfully just need to go to recovery "power + Vol. Down" and after write in the command window ( adb push "name of the rom.zip" /sdcard/ ) and he start copying the rom to the SD card, after that just install in the recovery choosing the rom in the root of the sdcard, and thats it! Easy :good:

Connect your phone to pc, enable usb debugging, if you donot have minimal adb and fastboot in your pc, download them, then open command window in that folder by shift+right click and then selecting 'open command window here'..
New cmd window should open and now type 'adb devices'
Then if your phone asks for authentication, grant it.
Now you should see your device number in the list of devices attached.
Enter 'adb reboot recovery'. Done.
Type the commands without punctutations.

It means, you lost twrp recovery. Stock recovery replaces it if you donot delete recoveryfromboot.p file from --root/system/
If your phone is rooted try to delete that file from any third-party file managers which can have root folder access.( Es file explorer or root explorer). Now install TWRP again with adb commands. I hope you could now enter TWRP without any issues. Good luck:good:
Or
After connecting phone to pc, in the command window opened in minimal adb and fastboot folder, type 'adb reboot fastboot' Now the phone enters directly into fastboot.
Flash recovery with the command
'fastboot flash recovery name.img'
(replace 'name' with the name of the recovery image') and boot into recovery as soon as you flash(must).
Now in TWRP goto advanced, file manager, goto system folder and you could see recoveryfromboot.p file. Select it, delete it. And now you can enter TWRP without any issues
try this for TWRP recovery..
1. Enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking from developer options and connect your AD (Android Device) to PC ,say yes to your phn settings
2.you need custom recovery image(******.img) of TWRP and it should be copied to the adb tools folder
3.open "unlock recovey " from adb tools and as AD goes to fastboot mode ,allow your phone to do so
4.press (shift+right click) on adb tools select "open command window here"
5.type in "adb devices" make sure it says all listed devices are connected and type in "fastboot flash recovery ******.img"
6.everything will be done afterthat unplug your devices and google your recovery key combination then you will directed to twrp recovery
i had the same problem.. repair your volume down button and do the rest before that key stops working again.

I'm not sure how you installed a Custom Recovery on your phone without Rooting it first. Rooting isn't required for the same, but it does interfere with the flashing process most of the times.
Anyhow, if your device is entering the Stock Recovery instead of the Custom Recovery, then you have simply not flashed the Custom Recovery onto your phone in the first place. A Custom recovery, when flashed, should overwrite the Stock Recovery on your device. This means that you won't have both the Custom Recovery and the Stock Recovery on your phone at the same time.
You'll have to flash the Recovery again and this time, try flashing the Recovery with a Rooted phone. You'll be able to enter your custom Recovery then.
Hi , on my Oneplus 5 i flash custom rom (twrp) and root my device , now i want delete all , i want return my OnePlus 5 at the same when i buy .
On the OnePlus one , i download a cyanogen fasboot rom , and in fastboot mode i put a command for erease all and install new recovery new system etc .
But on OnePlus 5 i not find this possibility , I can do this ? I can erease all and install a Oxygen from fastboot ? where I can find the fastboot rom and the command to put?
Solution
I solved my problem with this step.
1) Dowload OxygenOS rom from official site OnePlus http://downloads.oneplus.net/
3) Adb driver installed
4) Put the file of the oxygenOs in adb folder , you can see this folder in C:
5) Start the smartphone in recovery mode , now click install from adb
6) From windows positioning on C folder , and start new session of prompt from adb folder ( you can do this, click shift on keyboard and while right click on adb folder , and you can see the option start new prompt command from folder)
7) from the prompt you can put the command "adb devices" , for be sure the computer see your devices.
8) Now you can install your rom , put the command "adb sideload filename.zip"
Flashing stock recovery
1) Download stock Recovery OnePlus from here http://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amazonaws.com/OP5_recovery.img or else you can see on the download site of oneplus
2) Copy the recovery in the adb folder
3) Start a new prompt command from the folder adb
4) Put the smartphone in fastboot mode (power off the smartphone , and click volume up + power)
5) Put the command "fastboot device" for be sure computer can see the smartphone
6) Put the command "fastboot flash recovery name-recovery.img"
I hope I can help other persons with the same problem

Doesn't work for me the original recovery won't recognize adb device so here i have done this:
1) Flash a custom rom Oos based via twrp (i've done this with freedomos) DO NOT REBOOT phone after flash
2) Flash original OxygenOs firmware provided by oneplus site DO NOT REBOOT phone, not yet
3) Put original recovery in your sd card from your pc via twrp (if you don't already have it)
4) Install original recovery from twrp
5) After that, reboot to recovery and you should have the op original one, perform a factory reset via recovery
6) try starting device, if everything works you can finally re-lock bootloader (only if you want)
Solution
Thank you all for reply , i solved my problem with this step.
6) Put the command fastboot "flash recovery name-recovery.img"
I hope i can help other person with my problem

Help! I tried to do the sideload but in my powershell window says "loading: 'update.zip' *cannot read 'update.zip'* " I don't know what's the problem, my computer can detect my phone with "adb devices" and "fasboot devices" so that's not the problem
Reason for that is adb on Windows can't read large files as it's not Large Address Aware, I'll get the article I use that has a tool that enables that when I get home, it's basically a small program you need to run that enables that functionality.
