Available for me too but I can't get it yet, I haven't figured out why I get this weird message with every update....

Well you are standing in line to get it, but with kies you can download it straight away to bad you don't got your cable with you though.

What network? EE?

BTU is UK unlocked I believe.I'm unlocked as I got mine from carphone warehouse.
If you're on EE it should be an N7105 anyway shouldn't it?

When I saw that 'they' downloaded an update pack to my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (without asking me if I need it) I immediately went to Settings + Applications manager + All + Software update (and disabled it, plus cleared data and cache).
So, I'm still sitting with my 4.1.1. The SUPERPHONE is extremely smooth, without lag or bugs. So, if everything is perfect why I need this ridiculous update?

You might need it depending on whether your phone is susceptible to the sudden death syndrome.
I can confirm that the battery life issue for 4.1.2 has been fixed since the previous update, so there's no reason not to update really...

Sudden death -yes
Battery life - not even close. 4.1.1 is still much better than 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 when it comes to that

I get between 5-8 hours of screen on time on both. So no difference.

phone getting too hot after latest update MGF(GTI9500)...

soon after the update through odin i just used it for 5 mins and it started getting hot, ter wasnt any problem in previous firmware....anyone having same problem?

yes it is getting hot during charging too. this was not there in previous firmware...

The very reason I'm always going back to MEA, after each tried with new released fw.
I don't know anymore if Samsung's fixing something with every new fw...or just [email protected] with us.

Np problems here.

I'm on the latest mga firmware and it certainly seems to get hot much quicker.. Never use to notice it before other than playing games but now even in general usage it's noticeable.

I m from india and I m going to buy it in few days so I just wanted to know whether indian version of note 8.0 ( note 510)(N5100) has a 30 pin connector or micro usb because I saw some reviews on youtube and some has 30 pin connector and some had micro usb port so I m really confused which one it has ???
Edit got the answer for 2) question went to samsung store near my house and saw the tablet it has micro usb

Updated yesterday. Battery draining is normal in my opinion. Phone feels a little snappy now. However had to factory reset as some of my previously installed apps crashed due to changes in internal storage identification.

Apart from the new bloatware and the loss of root access, I have absolutely nothing to complain about.
I love the new 4.2.2 update.

That's interesting, how long were you using the German version before you were aware of the drain? And did you flash this one in the same way, mobile Odin with no wipe etc...
As I did wonder whether doing a clean slate flash and wipe would have helped matters with the German variant. I might give this one go if the vibes are positive.

The battery on the German version was also not different...I was just responding to the queries above....flashed the German rom the day it came out
...I flashed both the roms using PC odin..Didn't root my note 8 yet...Didn't really feel the need. ...But funnily on either rom can't get to wipe cache...getting error..so no manual wipe,..But believe PC odin does wipe cache

Awful battery since 4.2.2 update

Hey guys.
Not sure if I'm posting in the right place but I've got to find out if it's just me!
Updated about 2 weeks ago to 4.2.2 via OTA and my battery life has dropped drastically.
The one thing I've always loved about the note series is the massive battery and the note 3 didn't disappoint until recently.
The phone used to last anything upto 20 hours with fair usage but since the update I get no longer than about 3-4 hours!
I'm not rooted and I've even performed a factory reset on my device and not installed any apps.
I've even turned cellular data off and left the phone in my pocket without even unlocking it yet still only 2 - 3 hours life.
Anyone else having the same issue or know of any solution?
I appreciate that downgrading back to 4.2.2 isn't possible but surely there must be something else I can do?
any help is appreciated.

Are you serious, from 20 hour to 3-4 hours? That is very strange. I am still on 4.3 but waiting for 4.4.2 for my region, what region version are you using?

Yeah can't believe it either. I've had to use a second phone just for work purposes.
I'm in the UK with an unlocked handset. Just received the update OTA.

Im having the very same problem. There are various posts on the net about it on various forums but there seems to be no definitive fix. Very Odd because it definately is affecting a large number of people - but here on xda - dev there dont seem to be too many?

Battery drain on 4.4.2

So after upgrading to kk I notice my battery is dropping more than usual

Is your wifi enabled at all? If it's enabled and not connected then chances are it could be scanning for networks which would cause significant power drain.

Yes my wifi is off I've turned it on them off again and it still says on. Been like that since day one. I don't ever use wifi. It even reports it on if I'm using the hotspot.

I went into the wifi /menu/advanced and turnedoff the wifi scanning for Google Apps and location even when wifi off. That is insane! Made an hour a day difference in usage.
On a side note, the signal on this firmware is better than. The wife's retail version has no signal in a store and I had 4g with two bars

Thanks , I will try that as well . My battery life is bad so far on KK...went from 83% -64% in 30 minutes just listening to music and light Internet browsing.

I feel like my battery life is slightly worse as well. Although that could be attributed to what seems like weaker data signal. So idle time seems to hold up just as well. But the battery seems to drain faster when using data. I was going to monitor it for several more days and if it's still bad, i'm going to try flashing the MJE modem

For those running 4.4.2 on the Verison Note 3...did you all have to subscribe to the Chinese bot-net via Kingo Root, or is there another method to install a ROM? Is Safestrap the only option, or is there a full recovery available?
