Hi,
with the latest nightly (15th dec) the App2SD feature will work. I move a lot of Apps to the SD Card. But there are 2 questions left:
All the Apps on the Home screen were removed after App2SD. Only not moveable apps will stay.
The same happend after a reboot. All apps stayed on SD were removed from the screen.
Why you couldn't wait until the system is completly started. The widgets wait too...

That's a bug in Launcher3.
It's already been reported.
Only workaround while this gets fixed is to use another launcher, like Nova.

Every time my Verizon Tab reboots, I lose all the Widgets I placed on the screens...they either disapear or show the, "Problem loading widget..." I've used LP and ADW...both same problem and results. I've used Z4root and one-click-lag-fix...anyone have any ideas or experience the same issues? Thanks!

Have you moved the widgets or the apps associated with the widgets to the sd card? If so thays why
widgets need to be installed on the phone, not the sd card. This is a froyo "feature", every phone suffers it!
Hi, I'm using android Gingerbread (SD) and was downloading some apps from the market when my phone ran out of battery. Now when I reboot there is a constant notification in the notification bar which says that my download is in progress, but the progress bar doesn't move, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Even tried rebooting, but it doesn't change
Go to Market and uninstall those apps and then install it again. If the apps already installed but the Market is still saying it's in downloading progress, then download Easy Uninstaller to uninstall it and then install the apps from the Market.
I went to the market and it shows the apps on 'My Apps' as Free (as opposed to installed, like the rest of the apps). Oddly though, I only tried to download 3 apps, but in the notification bar it shows the apps I was trying to download 'and 8 more' ?!
Anything that you downloaded from the Market will listed under My apps. Sometime the ROM that you installed have preloaded apps and the Market regconized that under My apps as well. Follow the steps on the above post if the Market got confused on the downloading/stuck/updating apps.
Try going into Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Market and clear data and cache. Then it should stop constantly always downliading those apps.

I don't quite understand what you mean, but I've left wifi on for a while and it now has reduced the number from 8 to 6 apps to download. I have not got any notifications that they were installed but hopefully it will just clear all the downloads. Only problem is that if the screen turns off it stops downloading, so I have to leave the screen on.
Its in your phones settings under applications. That happens sometimes when ur phone dies with apps being downloaded. Just click on the things i said in the order i listed them and the downliading aops should go away instantly

Alright so I got a 32GB nexus 7 from futureshop, unlocked/rooted it running stock 4.2.1 and stock launcher. After I leave my tablet in sleep mode for a while (Atleast overnight) and then turn it on I can't launch ANY apps. Settings, games, nothing. The touch screen works perfectly fine I can open up the recent apps and the app menu no problem. However when I click on an app it just stays "glowing" and it doesn't launch until I reboot the device.
After searching I found nothing that relates to what I'm experiencing. So is there any solution to this?
Try to wipe it using cwm and then redownload the apps. Hope it helps! Please press the the thank you button if I helped

Ever since I updated to 4.3 my widgets have been freezing and not responding at all! The widgets are Eye in The Sky and the stock 4x1 power control... Anyone else having the same issues or any luck fixing them?
Thanks

I have this exact same problem. Thought it might have been do to something with nova launcher so I reinstall, problem still hasn't gone away.
Same here.
It happens with the widgets "Eye in the Sky - 4x2" and "Smooth Calendar".
Interestingly the other widget I use "GTasks" works smoothly.
I thought the problem was related to the Jelly bean 4.3 or to the "Nova Settings" update.
I noticed that some apps are updating versions "compatible to 4.3". So, maybe the cause is the new jelly bean.
I have tried to remove the widget and put it in homescreens again. I worked for a while, but the problem come back later.

Getting the same problem with Facebook widget, OI shopping, smooth calendar and bbc weather.
I fixed the issue! I switched from Nova to Apex and everything is running smoothly again! I am going to wait until Nova sends out an update/fix, and then switch back again!
Thanks

guys this prob can only be fixed by google itselve i guess! I tried everything possible! I also thought its an app or the launcher or more apps together or some widgets causing this but every time I thought I've found the problem source, a few hours of happiness later I was disappointed again. Tried with stock rom and custom roms but nothing helped and nobody on the whole damn internet seems to have a solution.
Unfortunately the prob also persists in Android 4.3 i saw. So I gave up every hope now.
The problem on my device stopped alone after some days. I think google sent an invisible correction/update.
Since more or less two weeks I didn't have the problem again.
(android 4.3 running on a nexus 4)
Upgraded to 4.4 with a clean wipe. I uninstalled some of the Google apps I never use such as currents ect. After awhile some apps start to force close such as settings. After I reboot or wipe cache or both the apps then reinstall themselves. Strange. I have never had a problem like this in any other version of android. Anyone else?

yea, i found out two weeks ago that you cant uninstall system apps in kitkat without getting a fc in settings. my way around it, i disabled 19 of the apps found in /system/app/ instead of deleting them. it seems to work just as well. pick any of the apps, select to view its info, tben press disable in the app info screen. itll remove that app from the app drawer as well.
Thanks Simms. Your one helpful dude! I always felt better totally getting ride of them to open up more space but it is what it is.

its what i do too, and always done. i have found that you can delete a few apps in /system/app/, like plus one, but they cant be considered system apps. its one of the first things i noticed about kitkat, that settings fc after removing system apps.

This is wrong on so many levels. After years rooting and running custom roms, I'm suddenly stuck with a load of bloatware if I upgrade to 4.4. I only use the account manager and Play Store and don't want any other Google apks, and would like to do without even those two, in fact I have no Google account 99% of the time and both are disabled unless I have to update something.
Hope there's a way out of this...
