Hasn't anyone notice gallery lag on loading photos and when you open a photo on the new update?

Do you notice it when you scroll through your app drawer?

I notice that a photo or video may not go on landscape mode when I tilt the phone sideways. I kind of "shake" the phone and the photo or video finally goes on landscape.
I like the stock gallery app. My issue is that it is keeping my album art in its own album (1separate album per cd), so it is making my album view pretty extreme. I know I can sort the view some but it does not limit the amount of albums.
Anyone know of a setting to limit this from being viewed in the stock gallery or another app that may help?
Thanks

You may want to try Quickpic from the market. I am not sure if it has the same limit issue, but imo it's much faster and better organized than the stock gallery app.
It's one of the first apps I install when I get a new phone.

+1 for QuickPic.
It really is the fastest gallery app around. If you don't mind the fact its UI is minimal, and that it doesn't have the AllShare DLNA baked in, give it a try.
QuickPic is my favorite gallery app by far! ICS Gallery has potential but not quite there yet, although I'd imagine an iteration of that is what's on the GS3. But yeah, QuickPic > *
Thank you all. I am ill give it a shot.

Is it there any classic gallery widget?
I mean something like the one attached to this post or Xperia TimeScape Photo Widget
I tried with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gzplanet.photogridwidget but is too slow and alwais I'm scrolling thru pics, always reload all of them...
Any help? Can anyone extract it from an AOSP? I'm using an S4 stock rooted one.

I am having issues with multiple picture frame widgets on my homescreens with the stock 4.3 or 4.4 launcher. This problem started when I was on 4.3 and carried over to 4.4. I put picture frames with different pics of my family on my homescreens. Recently I had to set my homescreens up again and when I go to place the widget on my homescreen it disappears. The picture frame is there with no picture. I've tried multiple picture frames from the play store and nothing is working. The stock picture frame does not work either. If I use apex or nova as a launcher the picture frames will work. It is only happening with the stock launcher and it's getting to be annoying. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have ideas or suggestions?

Bump. At this point im going to change my question since I haven't had any body reply. Has anyone had trouble with widgets in general disappearing from homescreems when trying to place them there? That could at least point in the right direction on trying to fix my problem.

Using the widget for picture album on my home screen without any issue. This is the stock launcher from android 4.4
build, KRT16S. The widget remained on the home screen after multiple reboots and shutdowns.
Have problem with both cm13 builds and rr when shooting a pic with the camera and tapping the thumbnail of the pic taken at the bottom corner of the cam to show at the gallery it always for some reason shows the first one in the gallery and not the last. How to fix this?
Thanks
