ENSURE you choose the correct file to download! It's labeled : 7.0p311x.zip

I noticed that it does. I won't say definitively until I've run this thru a few battery discharges first. It includes an updated kernel as well.

Not quite sure what you mean... This is the latest full stock ROM (not rooted), flashed with Odin using a standard procedure.

Couple of options come to mind... You can flash this stock 4.2.2, but you'll have to root it again afterwards (and install a custom recovery, if you want). Otherwise, you can go with MicroDelta by @Tsjoklat -- it's a very nice ROM, and the latest version of it is built on this exact base. It will be a full wipe in both scenarios, though.
ok so if a take this file and flash it with odin ill have to wipe the tab first ... or are you saying that the tab will automatically be wiped?

If you flash this package via Odin, it will wipe everything -- you don't have to do it manually. It will also revert the recovery back to stock, if you have a custom one installed now.
Make sure you read carefully how to use Odin, if you haven't used it before -- there are ways to screw up your device pretty badly.

Which file? The actual Odin-flashable package linked in the OP? I don't know... It's in TAR format, but the extension is *.tar.md5, so your OS may not recognize it. But you don't need to unzip it -- Odin will process this file as is. It's a good idea to verify the MD5 checksum (it's on the download page) before flashing, to make sure your download is not corrupt.

ok so i downloaded the file and opened it .rar archiver to check the file and has a .tar.md5 file and .dll file.
ODIN wont recognize a .zip though and i get a file is invalid.
im gonna try the other method you mentioned.

Ok here is a simple tutorial for any new to this tab stuff like I was yesterday.
I take no credit for this just wanted to help compile an easy solution.
It is so simple once you figure it out.
First download Odin v1.7 here unzip it and stick it on your desktop,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=478059&d=1293895557
Then download these files.
http://files.deodexed.com/ModADroid-Galaxy-Tablet/Rotohammer/JME/
These zips need to be unpackaged to get to the .tar files. Pay attention as Winrar will see .tar as a .zip too. (read the file extensions or you can't select them in Odin.) Stick the 3 files (pit, modem,FmInsSD) into a folder on your desktop. (You no longer use the "Jme-hidden" file shown in the pic.)
Attach your tab to your computer, if you have windows 7 the drivers will be installed for you. If you don't you'll need to get them from here.
http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c...G_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.3.350.0.exe
launch Odin v1.7(if you get an error about some missing .dll file then you need to install the Microsoft .Net framework)
It should look like this once configured correctly:
MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU ADD YOUR FILES-THE TAB IS PLUGGED IN-YOU WILL HAVE A YELLOW COM BOX CIRCLED IN THE PIC IF IT IS CORRECTLY CONNECTED AND READY TO FLASH.
ALSO YOU MUST HAVE A BIG TRANGLE ON YOUR TAB WITH A DIGGING ANDROID (to do this power up the tab while holding down the down volume button)
Looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
LOAD THE FILES AS SHOWN IN THE PIC THEY ARE CIRCLED IN RED
MAKE SURE REPARTITION IS CHECKED THE OTHER BOXES ARE CHECKED BY DEFAULT-LEAVE THEM HOW THEY ARE.
ONLY IF YOU HAVE EVERYTHING DONE. (DOUBLE CHECK)
HIT START
Do not touch anything or use your computer it takes about 5 mins to reboot your tab to the kies sync screen.
your done enjoy!
HIT ME SOME THANKS IF THIS WORKED FOR YOU.
Nice work.
You might want to specify that this is for gsm only as many may not be aware.
I on sprint so I guess I have to wait but it's good too see this kind of work being put out there.
Thanks

Hi Guys,
I'm from austria and have only one question: since i have flashed my tab to jm6 and higher, the bootloader is protected and it's not possible to go back to stock (in my case: hutchinson 3g austria).
now i have flashed to roto's jme, it work very fine! but he's writing, that's possible to go back to t-mobile stock (usa), no matter the bootloader was signed (protected) before flashing or not.
is there also a way to go back to others stock arround the world??? or is it only possible for t-mobile usa-users? thanks a lot!

I doubt it. You either flash custom firmware and enjoy it, or sit in front of your computer hoping/waiting for Kies to update you
I think XDA has provided way more updates than Kies so far.

+1 to Roto's answer. Kies reads your firmware version when you connect the Tab and will only offer you an update if it recognises that there is an upgrade available for the firmware it sees on your Tab. This generally means that if you have flashed pre-release firmware which has development / test codes it won't offer you any of the official production upgrades (or any upgrades usually!). It is possible to fake your Tab's signature in Kies to make it flash official releases over dev/test firmware, do a search on the Samsung Galaxy S forums for how to do this.
Don't think so. So far kies have give me 2 updates. It work amazingly. Now is smother. Just my opinion.

Read instructions before ask silly questions!
This is the latest Jelly Bean Leak - XXDLH6.
Lots of the users couldn't install the OTA, so here's the full version.
How to install:
Extract the zip in SDCard --> clockworkmod --> folder (for example JB) --> files here
Go to CWM --> Backup & Restore --> Restore from internal storage
The ROM is NOT rooted.
You should root it yourself.
Enjoy
Google Drive download: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B03kuDevWNTFUkgzY2hPWDZQYm8
Multiupload download: http://www.multiupload.nl/D958B28I97
Please say thanks If this helped you!
I recommend you to wipe dalvik cache, battery stats & cache partition before you run the rom (for best smoothness and no FC)
If for some reason you can't find clockworkmod folder (to restore the backup), make a new backup and then replace the files from your backup with the files from the ZIP I provided.
MD5 checksum mismatch only happens when you try to install the whole zip file which is wrong! Extract like it's stated in the instructions.
You can restore this backup over every rom you want.

It's known issue with MEGA, it works best if your using Firefox or Chrome. If the download keeps freezing keep reloading it will eventually work...
Once somebody can grab the files I suggest they be uploaded to several locations, and perhaps a torrent file.
---Edit---
Maybe a mod can edit the title to include something like [Release]? As is stands now people might miss the thread by thinking it's a question being asked.

The files are pretty self explanatory. Platform in PDA, modem in Phone, csc in csc, bootloader in bootloader. Only have auto-reboot checked. Ignore the dll file.

No, if you on MF3 and attempt to load any firmware below it such as MDL you'll end up with a brick (which this will fix, grant it). This has more use for people brick their MF3 devices using MF3-based firmwares.

Hate to burst your bubble, but this doesn't seem like the case. Although we have access to the TAR files now the fact is the MF3 bootloader remains locked. Unless we can convince AT&T or Samsung to hand over the keys it's going to be a long wait (if ever) before we find a means to circumvent it's encryption.
What about us Mac users. Will Heimdall work with this?

Your best bet is to start over by flashing the stock MF3 files using ODIN. From there, re-root your phone, reinstall SafeStrap, and try again. You most likely flashed a non-TW based ROM... remember only TW roms work with SS right now.
If you have any other questions, I'll try to explain it in more detail.

First off, download ODIN 1.85 it seems to be the one that most people have the best luck with.
Grab the MF3 TAR files
Extract the MF3 files to a folder, say on your desktop. ie. MF3
Open ODIN and refer to this picture...
For more information about how to use ODIN you can refer to here, and here.
I've personally never had to use it, so my steps are only from general observation. You might want to double check yourself. So if anyone has has any other info to help him feel free to post.

Uninstall it. You'll find kies is pretty useless anyway.

Lollipop Update for rooted Moto Es. This is the final update package as no changes have been made to the ROM by Motorola after the soak test.This is the Lollipop update for rooted XT1021s, XT1022s and XT1023s.Download links below. Please read the notes carefully before you do anything. Credits to the people who uploaded the soak OTA.
---------------------------------------
Read this carefully.
This update is only for the XT1022 running stock firmware and not CM11.
Make sure that you haven't modified anything inside the internal (system) partitions or removed any packaged apps. If you have done so, undo those changes or customize the package as per the instructions given at the end.
This ROM has been tested by more than 1000 users and is working. Of something fails, that's because you messed it up, not the ROM.
Place the ZIP on your SD card, boot up your custom recovery and flash (I think that this is self-explanatory). (You may also side-load).
I suggest that you uninstall Link2SD and then reinstall it after you update, it causes debuggerd issues.

DevHost: XT1022_root-flashable-update-5.0.2_signed.zip - 341.40 MB
---------------------------------------
Use TWRP, here. Thanks to @gaurav2009 for pointing this out.
Do not use a deodexed/modified/debloated ROM. Use this ROM. Thanks again to @gaurav2009 and @luvk1412 for pointing this out.
---------------------------------------
Customizing the update package
You need a bit of experience to do anything listed below.
TAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!
Flash the ZIP mentioned in this post.
If an error occurs, copy the ZIP to your PC and extract it.
Go to 'extracted_folder/META-INF/com/google/android'
Edit the updater-script and remove the assert, 'apply_patch' and 'apply_patch_check' and 'sha1_check' lines that refer to the files mentioned in the error you saw.
ZIP the folder again (Make sure that you don't change the directory structure).
Download ZipSigner for Windows and sign the package.
Flash the signed ZIP and repeat the procedure for all errors you see.
---------------------------------------
Troubleshooting
Errors with 3c_main/LatinIME/*.apk-Try and find the stock application and install it. That's it.
Errors with debuggerd- Uninstall link2sd. If issues persist, find a stock KitKat debuggerd.
ADB Sideload - device not found- (WINDOWS) Install drivers -> Go to Device Manager -> Find XT1022/Unidentified Device->Update Driver->Select Manually From List->Android Device->Motorola USB Interface->Install it.
Generic Advice- If something errors, restore a stock version. If everything seems too complex, flash back to stock.
---------------------------------------
I've tried my best to make sure that you don't brick your device but as always, you do this at your own risk and please don't hold me responsible. For noobs who can't manage a nandroid backup, go and revert to stock.---------------------------------------
Post any errors you can't solve here and I'll try and fix them ASAP.
Sure mate. All the best.

I'm working on a root-flashable Lollipop update. It'd be ready by this evening. I'd be grateful if someone could give me error logs when they try to flash the soak test ZIP. It'd make by job much easier. Cheers and enjoy the sweet new lollipop.

You can't flash stock 5.0.2 files on CM . Either installation will be aborted or you will be in bootloop !

Should i unroot before flashing the zip? I have flashed stock rom with no modifications. The thing is it is rooted.
getting an error. " /system/app/ 3c_main.apk(sometimes LatinImeGoogle.apk)" has unexpected contents
I don't think that unrooting is needed. Also, any updates by people who downloaded? The file's been downloaded 25+ times and yet everyone is silent. And yeah, take a backup before you proceed. Now fixing issue reported by @chaithu5.
I have cm11 rom . Can I still flash this ? Or do I need to flash stock rom and then flash ?
