VZW LG G2 Google Search bug - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed that changes to my contacts were not reflected in Google search. If I added or deleted a contact it wasn't showing up in Google search. I uninstalled updates to Google search and the problem was fixed. I reinstalled the Google search updates and the problem reoccured. This is in a VZW LG G2 with stock firmware. Can anyone else duplicate this?

[Q] Google Search unable to contact google servers?

For the past two days I have been unable to use the google voice search. That is in google now or the little mic button on the top right of the homescreen search widget.
I've tried uninstalling all of the updates to the search app all the way back to the stock, preloaded app. doesnt work no matter what I do.
does anyone have any suggestions before I wipe my phone?
Thanks!

[Q] GPE rom hangouts won't sign in

http://i58.tinypic.com/25a7otc.jpg
I've flashed the GPE rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557353 and after that my Hangouts won't sign in. Tried several reboots and clearing cache from Google play services.
Gmail and other accounts using Google works fine, it's just Hangouts that's giving me trouble. I've just downloaded Hangouts and Google Play services today so it's the latest versions. I've googled and what I've found is that similar problems for other people get an error message, which I dont' It just says "Not signed in" and nothing happens when clicking on it or the settings button on the S4.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Solved - I took a picture and choose to share it with Hangouts. I then got prompted to sign in and now it works!

Can't download or update any app on Google Play

Help!
I'm unable to download or update any app on my LG G2 (international version) for a couple of days now. I keep getting an error that says "Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-0]"
Here are all the things i've done to try and solve the problem (but didn't work):
- Delete and re-added my Google account
- Cleaned all the cache and data on Google Play app and other related services/apps
- Reboot the device (after doing the steps above)
- Reset default apps and app preferences
- Uninstall all updates from Google Play
- Rolled back and installed older versions of Google Play (tried 2 previous versions)
What did work was creating a new Google account but i don't see this as a solution since all my paid apps are tied to my original account. And i'm trying to avoid doing a factory reset.
I'm at my wits end trying to fix this. My original account doesn't seem to have any problems when trying to access any of Google's other services (Gmail, Youtube, GDrive, etc.), it's just Google Play that's giving me a lot of grief.
Anybody else experiencing this problem? Is there a way to fix this?

The problem seems to be on Google server side. I have the same problem on my S5 mini and several other users here on xda have reported the same issue.

Lollipop Upgrade issues with play service.

Hi
My nexus 10 received the lollipop update last night. Once the upgrade was completed I tried to open up gmail or email where upon I received the following error message:-
Google Play Services, Google play services, which some of your applications rely on, is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacturer!
I then did a quick google which pointed me to APKMirror website. I tried to update the google play service but it's made no difference. In addition to this I can no longer see the google play icon so cannot access or update any new apps.
Has anyone else got this issue?
Thanks
Stan..

No. I flashed lollipop using fastboot (losing all data in the process); this could be an option for you.
Cheers poldie,
I wiped my nexus and put it in recovery mode which sorted it out in the end.
Not happy about doing that but heh it worked.

Google contacts sync problem

Hello all,
Long time I suffer from message "sync is currently experiencing problems" on my phone. I tried many solutions and none of them fix the problem so I decided to upgrade my phone version to 7.1.1 from 6.0.1, I removed Google account and installed it again, updated Google app from Google Play.
Now I don't see the that message and also don't see an option to sync Google contacts, save new contact in my account.
Any solutions? Maybe Android version has a bug?
B.T.W I also don't have the Google photos sync
Kind regards,
Solution:
back up the phone, wipe, restore -> problem solved
