Hi, one of my friend has an Galaxy S4
he had some photos and videos hidden in the gallery and today, he was trying to hide some new ones which didn't show the hide option
so, we cleared the cache and data of GALLERY from the Application manager
since then, we've been unable to find those hidden items
Can anyone tell what happened to them?
(however, we discovered that files photos/videos that are on SD card don't show HIDE option in the stock gallery)
but lost those hidden items that we hid earlier
anyone has any idea where they'd be? Changed Location or gone?
Thanks

can anyone tell me why my photo gallery is doing this in grid view? ive tried to reboot and ive tried to go to the applications menu and clear the cache and still no luck. any suggestions?
Could be your sd card burning out.
ya but it works fine when i select one of the pics or if i switch to filmstrip view
There is also a separate folder for thumbnails. Something might be going on there, id delete them all so the phone would redo them.
Hi
I have strange gallery problem. After hiding some pictures with .nomedia file (books covers), I see in gallery empty/black thumbnail with 33 string as caption, when i tap on it, it shows me 33 empty/blank thumbnails, when I tap on random thumbnail it sows me can't open message....
How to get rid of that?
I triad to Clear gallery data, tried manually delete gallery and mediaprovider folders from Android/data/ triad many restarts and triad renaming folder with that books covers....
I have noticed the same thing.
The way I sorted it (if you're feeling brave) is to delete the image/thumbnail from within the Gallery app, it then removes it from the view but actually leaves the image file.
I made the backup of the files first, but it does work. I would rather a better/proper way to deal with this though.
Thanks, it worked
When I browse in my Gallery it shows all the folders that I have locally as well as all my Google+ folders and on other devices I've been able to simply click on one of those images and set it as a Wallpaper. Now that I've got the GS4, I don't seem to be able to do this any longer and when I go through the Wallpaper settings to choose a picture it only allows me to use local images (same for contact images). Is there any way to change how this behaves?
Also, is there a fix for the weird treatment of landscape pictures (rotating them)?
Thanks.
Im on Stock rooted MF9, and I seem to have lost the ability to Hide Items within the gallery. Handy feature, any clues out there. On a side note does it move the pictures or just change the file name?
Hey guys, so I use quickpic for normal picture viewing, but the sharpening tricks combined with the amazing bottom scroll gallery selection makes it ideal to go through huge pic wallpaper packs and easily select dozens at a time as I scroll through..
what I do NOT like is how freggin hard it is to get it to refresh..
ive cleared cache, data, made sure there were no .nomedia files, forced close the gallery and restated multiple times...
Ive always had this issue, and want to know if anyone else had figured out a solution..
anyone have any advice?
