Unfortunately, I upgraded my Ativ S with the official Rom GDR3 without first unlocked phone.
I seem to have realized that it is not possible to unlock with this new Rom
You could downgrade to the original Rom GDR2 and then unlock the phone?
What procedure I could follow?
Thanks

Also, look here. There's a link to Russian GDR2 (you can easily change country CSC code after flashing the Russian ROM via SamWP8 Tools). Also, here's the link to windowsmania forum with a GDR3 ROM.
Just a note, when flashing ROM using Flashing tool, don't forget to specify the CSC code. Dunno why, but I HAD to specify my original CSC code in the flashing tool to successfully flash my phone. My phone was imported from Hungary and had XEH CSC code. So until I specified XEH in the drop-down box within the flashing tool, I've been getting partition mismatch errors. Once I set XEH, flashing went flawless.

Seems to be for Italy for now. But i guess it should be possible to flash it via Odin.
But i really don't know if that's going to work.
I have a Italian csc on my phone but works great. But that's a custom rom and includes all kinds of csc. But also due to me buying it in germany it has a German csc and that worked great in austria. So i would give it a try in the case someone gets a fast download ?

Maybe somebody can try odin flash.
Other solution is to install some older italian stock rom (from sammobile) and then to update via smart switch...

1)No need to restore MM backup from recovery and then flash
2)You can flash it directly using odin, after successfully flashed factory reset your phone through stock recovery
3)Also you can flash it by complete wipe from twrp recovery
4)Since your running custom rom usb debugging and oem unlocking are already eanbled but be sure once before flashing
Note-Be sure Usb debugging And Oem Unlocking options are enabled from developers option before flashing thorugh odin (Go to setting>about device>software info>Tap build no for 7-8 times until you see developers option is enabled, You can find setting>developers option mostly below about device..From there make sure usb debugging and oem unlocking is enabled)
FLASH ONLY IF YOUR DEVICE IS SUPPORTED BY THIS TURKEY BUILD AND FOLLOW PROPER ODIN FLASHING GUIDE YOU CAN FIND EASILY ANYWHERE IN FORUM

Thanks, for your reply. The idea is to extract the CSC and MODEM files to use with other ROMs. I found a utility called Odinatrix, which can unpack the old stock ROMs which other programs such as 7Zip couldn't deal with. It worked first time and has helped re-animate an old mobile, which has been lying (almost) bricked for a year or more.

Yes, Odin is fine for flashing but only after you've got your ROM sorted out.
Because Custom ROMs either include no modem software or include modem software for other countries then I often have to find modem and CSC info from other sources (such as Stock ROMs). Hence the need to unpack old TAR.MD5 files for Stock ROMs before using Odin/Heinmdall/JOdin to flash. Sometimes the ROMs have been so old that 7.zip et al won't touch them - hence it was very pleasing that Odinatrix did actually work.
Sir I have the same problem with my sgy it freezes on the boot when I insert the sim and now my sim is not working after flashing the stock rom please help

Source: Galaxy S8 Oreo beta program will go live in these countries
@Dejan Kruljac : the only thing FAKE is your post, AND the person you admire on the GIF
I'm currently running the EE firmware on the international version. I assume the beta will only be available for the unlocked variant (BTU/XEU CSC. Therefore I want to be prepared in advance. Can I just download the latest BTU or XEU firmware from Sam Mobile and then I will be eligible for the beta program? After looking through the various firmware threads, there seems to be conflicting reports about how to flash a rom which will permanently change the CSC. Will flashing the BTU or XEU firmware suffice? I've also seen people have success with flashing a multi csc rom and change the csc via the (old samsung method) dialer method using the imei number - which will also reset the device. Can anyone confirm the current method?
Thanks

You can't permachange CSC by flashing one, the final CSC is hard coded at a lower level on non-flashed storage that would require root to adjust (but you could unroot right after) and a fairly comprehensive understanding of tw

XEU is part of the Multi-CSC OXM (which all unbranded Europeans phones have)...
If you DON'T have a UK-SIM card, you CAN'T change your phone to XEU! A UK-SIM card must be in your device, reset it, and your CSC will change to XEU/XEU/*** (where *** is the product-code of your device)

Do you know that for sure? Because changing csc works for normal ota updates. Why would it not work for the oreo beta? Makes no sense.
My csc is now xeu/xeu/evr. You sure I won't get It? You're the first person to suggest amending the csc won't work with the oreo beta.

No need to flash via fastboot, baseband can be flashed via twrp recovery without bricking the device. I already wrote a guide regarding this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-zuk-z2/how-to/guide-flash-firmware-twrp-relocking-t3576196
doesn't work. No audio call in & out!

There is baseband v2.0
