I have enabled native dialer by modifying framework-res.apk in my Nexus 7 3G with JB 4.2.1.
Now my question is, will the native dialer stay if i upgrade to 4.2.2? Did anybody try? Pls share. Thanks a lot.

I don't believe it will, because when you upgrade it wipes/resets all the system settings.
Just a guess but.

It will revert that change. You will have to remodify your framework-res to re enable your dialer.

Is there any place to download the dialer-enabled framework-res for 4.2.2?
I have bricked my nexus 7 a few times when I was doing the 4.2.1 framework-res modification. I had to restore the factory image to unbrick it. Finally I downloaded one somewhere and worked
Anyone have any idea why I don't have Caller ID by Google on 4.4.2 (latest CyanogenMod 11 nightly)?
I thought it may have been my Gapps package, but I tried flashing the PA Complete Stock Gapps package from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 but I still don't seem to have it?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Stewart
It is because it uses an AOSP dialer instead of the new Google Dialer

If you can find a flashable one that is easy, otherwise to need GoogleDialer.apk, GoogleDailer.odex(unless you can find a deodexed version), Teleservice.apk/ and telephonyprovider.apk
With Root Explorer copy GoogleDialer.apk, GoogleDialer.odex, and TeleService.apk to system/priv-app and set perrmissions to rw-r-r
then copy TelephonyProvider.apk to system/app and set permissions ro rw-r-r and reboot

Hello my friends!
Everytime I flash a ROM, always I return to the Stock one, cause I miss the QuickMemo app, and it's necesary for me.
BTW, my question is: is there a way I could have the QuickMemo app in another ROMs? For example: AOSB KitKat by Optima Team.
PD: I have a LG Optimus L7
I hope you answer and I apologize for my BAD English
Try to copy app from /system/app in your stock rom and then possibly you can install app after flashing new rom. You could use Root Browser.

I've found QuickMemo3 app and I will try to instal it on KitKat 4.4.4 and then tell if it's working

Edit:
I can't install app :/ But I don't know which sys version it comes from and which model, but sincerly I dunno if it matters...

Hi,
I have this app that won't work if you have a custom rom installed. Can someone here that uses stock (preferably not AOSP) 5 or 5.0.2 extract his build.prop file and upload it here? I want to try tricking the app into thinking I have stock rom and see if it will work.
Thank you.
Anyone?
