Weird error flashing back to stock. D800 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Background
Phone: LG G2 D800.
Where problem Arised: Flashing Paranoid Android Rom, missed a step. Forgot to install the boot image (I think)
Current Things not working: TWRP Recovery disappeared ( I really have no clue what the hell happened to it. Just not able to get into it anymore), Phone is in boot loop at PA loading screen. Using LG Flash tool , I keep getting an error telling me that I have the wrong .bin for my phone, but I'm certain the dll and tot I attempted to install are for my phone model. Meanwhile, LG mobile support tool freezes when trying to check my phone settings.
What is working: I can definitely get into download mode. So maybe there's still hope.
Any help guys?
I'm seriously stumped. Gonna maybe try emergency on LGNPST

I think this is the definition of hard brick. send it in, paid the cash to get it fix, get it back, read instruction carefully and flash.

Any good services you know of?

On this topic, do you know a good place I can send it in to be fixed? And what method do they use, if so?
Cause I'm only really going to send it in at this point if it's a jtag flash. They tend to be really quick, and I haven't lost hope with it just yet .

send it to LG, they have to flashed the whole bios(?) again with whatever method they have.

Need opinions

like a week ago i came to the help thread because my nexus 4 got bricked while flashing THE CORRECT bootloader , and tomorrow im gonna send it in to get jtagged by the guy/guys at mobiletechvideos .
i heard they/he is really legit and that my phone should end up fixed , now im really worried that i should just leave my phone on stock and not tamper with it so i dont run into this problem again , but i REALLY REALLY REALLY like cyanogenmod 10.1
should i just give up on tampering with my phone for the sake of my money (low family income , i got the nexus 4 for income tax otherwise impossible) or is it really not a big deal and should i just flash cyanogenmod 10.1 ?
im not looking for a definite answer i just want some advice or opinions , thanks :good:
EDIT: btw i havnt purchased the repair yet either lol im waiting for my mom to get payed tomorrow then im gonna purchase the repair and ship in the phone to them/him on monday
Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147194 you can download the particular bootloader and/or radio in CWM format for the latest 4.2.2 rom.If you still are on 4.2.1 i suggest to flash the whole 4.2.2 image in fastboot from here https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#occam first. Then root and after that flash CM10.1.

My phone isn't repaired yet, I was just wondering if cyanogenmod is worth tampering with my phone. Just wanted to hear some opinions, because I decided to stay stock so I don't brick my nexus again but I really like cyanogenmod 10.1
EDIT:thanks for the bootloader link though I'll add that to my reference bookmarks
I think what gee2012 is trying to tell you is that your phone is probably not "bricked". If you can get into fastboot you can fix it yourself. If you have the money (which from the OP looks like you don't) then go ahead and send it to someone else to fix. If you want to save some cash start reading and once you learn how, do it yourself. That (extensive reading) should have been your first step before you flashed the first time.
Why were you flashing just the bootloader? My personal take on updating core components of the phone is to wait for a factory image and flash that in its entirety using Google's scripts and then restore a backup/flash a new ROM based on the new build. This way you know everything on the phone matches and you'll get the best out of it
Just flashing cm won't brick your phone it doesn't overwrite anything that can brick it

flash write failure

Dear guys,
due to problems within this morning, i restarted my phone to wipe dalvik/cache.
But it occured that TWRP somehowe needs to have a password (which i didn't ever set though).
Didn't boot up at all now. Even with toolkit no chance to do anything with the device.
Any further suggestions/ideas?
Try flashing the factory image without using a tool kit. Google nexus 4 factory image. Download it to your pc and extract it. Run the flash-all.bat you'll find in there.

Some Partitions of the phone have got some bad blocks causing it to act in such a way !! Seems RMA(if available) is the best recourse since there is no definative solution to this problem !! You can try hard reboot as well as someone once pointed out that his n4 magically restored during it but others dint have that much of luck !! Also u could give LGNPST a try but since that also writes the partition it is highly unlikely to get you through !! One Solution I know will surely work is Qualcomm PST using the HighSpeed USB Device . But unfortunately we need an expert help, probably a Qualcomm employee to get in touch with since the tool has still not been cracked by anyone for n4 though I read somewhere that someone was able to restore using QPST !! Also mostly a JTAG Repair can help you but thats a rip off !! I'll anyday prefer a official LG/Google Repair over a JTAG !!
Hope you find my post useful !!
THanks Guys,
JD5, it didn't work.
Corresponding to Nabendu's post i guess it is the issue mentioned here.

So therefore i don't see any chance :-/

I was afraid of that. Try one thing. Relock the bootloader, fastboot oem lock, then re-boot and see if the bootloader locks. If it doesn't, and it probably won't, then rma is your option.
Edit, haha, I just read that thread you posted and they tried the same thing

i was already trying that. at first it seems that the bootloader got locked again but right after restart it is already unlocked again.
I guess RMA will cause problems due to the fact that it was a rooted Nexus, using a custom rom.

Google seems to have been pretty good with rma's when it's a hardware failure. Pretty sure your emmc is borked. But you never know until you send it in. Hopefully there won't be a problem.

Ok I'll give it a try on monday. But as far as i know, i'll need to call them first.
I could imagine that they'll try to let me wipe my data or give me any kind of instructions to see if they can resolve the problem right away? What do i tell them?
At latest when they'll lead me to the recovery i'll get stuck using TWRP at latest.
Any kind of conversation dialogue i can follow up?
Let's try one more thing, inside the factory image is a zip file, extract that. In there is recovery.img. Put that file in the same folder as fastboot.exe. In fastboot try fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
If it works it'll put the stock recovery on.

Nope, same issue " flash write failure"
I can't get any kind o access...
But don't leave any more thoughts on it. Won't work though, i won't want to bother you all the time

It won't let you flash that either to the best of my knowledge !! Just don't tell those operators that you have unlocked your bootloader and have a custom recovery !! Basically they won't tell u to go into stock recovery !! They'll just ask you hard reset the phone using physical keys !! Bdw check my pm !!

Np, not sure what to tell them. It still boots I assume so you can't tell them it won't boot. I guess just the truth, it is a developer phone after all so it should be flashable

[Q] LG Logo than blackscreen (no Download or Recoverymode)

Okay so here is my Problem. I did nothing with my phone before except rooting. So I wanted to install a custom Kernel with the Recovery, everything went great. I installed the zip and rebooted the device. Yeah, first thing was that it said something like: "Fastboot mode started
, udc_started() " And I had no Idea what happend, but the phone was not starting. So I decided to get back to stock Rom with the LG Mobile Support Tool (because I was still able to access Download Mode). Everything went great again, I hoped everything gets fixed now. BANG. Error at 19 %. I dont know what to do now. Because now, theres no way (really NO way) to get into download Mode again. Everything I try dont works like Plugging in while pushing Up and and and.
Please tell me, what can I do now. I would be so happy if someone has a solution. This phone is so new I dont want to loose it Im a school student this was much money for me.
@Psylou Is there maybe something with qhusb? Cause if download mode doesnt work. The fastboot mode udc started was because the kernel wasnt good.
See the guide no download mode etc.
If you connect your phone to your pc do you see partitions?

I see hundreds of them my whole PC was full of "Do you want to format that data drive?"
And when I hit Yes and wanted to format one, it says that its read-only.
@Psylou good news still fixable dont format those in windows. Dont touch them at all first, read the guide good and then do it.
Btw you need ubuntu for it or some other linux ditribution but I suggest to use ubuntu.

I Did everything said. Everything went great. Now there is no blackscreen anymore, I can still dont enter Download Mode but when i press Down and Power it gets me to the factory hard reset. There I press 3 Times Power, but at the third time just nothing happens . the Bad thing is, Windows dont gets any devices now.
If you cant enter download mode and recovery doesnt work there you maybe did something wrong :/ does adb work in recovery mode or is it pre recovery?

There has to be a way to fix it now. The Repairing costs more than the Phone. I mean I dont even know how to get in Fastboot mode or using ADB. Can you help me with this? Maybe this is working.
@Psylou sadly you cant boot into fastboot just like that without a modded bootloader. I dont know how adb should work if recovery mode doesnt even work. Sadly I dont have a solition atm

First thing if LG could fix it like that without replacing like the motherboard then I think it's okay because I don't like it if things even under warranty are going like that :/ but yeah then you are also again paying warranty so its like 50/50 of good and evil.
But what you could try is maybe make a second try and say that it was like that after a reboot or something idk, I never really returned anything in warranty and or bricked anything. Just make the second try maybe in 3days or maybe after a week. Btw did you also gave them your Imei etc information? If so then the chance is smaller you can get it fixed under warranty.
Just to say. I got my LG back and repaired for free. without telling them false storys. I told them everything and with a little bit of sadness they said, that I could have the warranty paper to send it there. This happend 4 Months ago, but this post reminds me to say that it worked great.

LG G2 System apps

I have a LG G2 D803 (which was rooted, but not now) that would hibernate when placed flat on the table. In doing a factory reset I found that the phone did not have both the 'phone' and 'contacts' apps installed. Therefore I was unable to make a phone call, yet could receive one. When calls were received there was no record of the call being received or of a means of entering the call as a contact.
Is there someone who can direct me to a site where I can download the missing apps and odex from (not sure what this is)? I would then re-root my phone, re-install Titanium and hopefully be able to install the apps on the phone.
I have tried to complete a new firmware download from LG's support website but the download fails in the last seconds of 'install' even though the download appeared to been successful.
LG were prepared to fix my phone but it would have been cheaper for me to purchase a new phone.
any guidance with this issue would be very much appreciated.
Can you just find the ROM and re-flash it? If you find the complete stock ROM, it should have those system apps...

Thank you for your quick response. I am currently in the process of reading up on and installing KDZ files for flashing my G2 back to stock. Being a neophyte at this and having all the time in the world in which to accomplish the task 'life will be interesting'. I should not have been so adventurous with Titanium!!
I am pretty sure that the problem was self inflicted so am prepared to try and resolve it.
Thanks again.

That is the ups and downs of androids, can make it awesome, but can also break a lot of stuff! Sorry I can't help much with the D803 as I have a D800 or I would recommend the ROM & Kernel I am running.
LG G2 system apps problem resolved.
For those that might have been interested in my loss of apps on my LG G2 - I am pleased to inform you that I was able to find a solution, implement it, and in a matter of half an hour have a fully functioning smartphone once more.
The following links proved to be a great help, especially the second link cited.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
http://www.file-extensions.org/article/install-kdz-fimware-to-lg-smartphone
Following these easy to follow instructions I was able to get my smartphone back to 'factory condition'.
Should others experience problems similar to mine I hope that the attached links will be helpful.

Dude so I was scared to install TWRP backup because it wasn't for this exact phone carrier and I saw a lot of people were screwing up their phones doing the process so do you know of a process which I could get TWRP on this phone whileist not screwing it up like everyone else ?
Phone is brand new and I would have backed up and and installed debloated rom already but again with everyone having issues im kind of hesitant .
So I'm probably going to do it anyway ( my phone is my phone damn-it! ) but I need to read more throughout the forums and see exactly what's causing these issues because I do not want to brick mine and any insight you have as to what happened to yours during the process could be beneficial .
I already tried

For samsung devices, the only method to flash a recovery seems to be odin. I did not find a recovery for my variant
I ended up returning the phone anyway since there is no recovery, its best you do the same. It was a good phone for $30 though. I ended up getting super desperate, and i tried to flash all the recoveries available for this phone, none of them worked. It did not brick my phone however. If you still want to give it a try you can. If it does brick you should be able to restore using power, vol UP and home. Just wait a bit and an android recovery comes up where you can reset to factory. Im not entirely sure about this process. Best of luck to you!

yeah i tried and failed as well . all i want is to be able to use the memory card as storage for apps and whatnot so that i don't run out of 8gb of space after installing only a few programs . what a shame because the phone is not too bad but by samsung removing this feature that's built into the android ecosystem , what a bunch of dicks .
much luck back to you my friend .
