People will have the broken SD card problem (you know, everything on their card deleted), and much like the missed call problem, Verizon will allow you to choose from multiple different phones. Maybe if I ever run into the problem, I'll have the option to choose a Galaxy S II? Just wishful thinking.
What do you guys think? Will this still be a problem when Verizon pushes the first official Gingerbread build for the Fascinate?
i doubt verizon, or samsung, would officially release an update that is known to eat sd cards.
when Verizon pushes the update, I'm sure it won't eat cards anymore

Or does Xposed cover everything that could be done here?

Hi all..
As you may be able to tell I'm new here. After looking around the Note 4 area of the forums, I've noticed that it is full of Custom ROMs and Kernels, which is great as I'm planning on buying one in a couple of months. What I haven't seen, however, is a whole lot of Dev support for the Galaxy S5 G901F, my current phone. This is baffling me somewhat, as the phones are almost identical inside minus the 3GB RAM of the Note. What is even more odd is that after comparing my G901F to two Note 4 Snapdragons in work today, I noticed that my G901F gave them both a kicking in Antutu Benchmark (50300 for G901F, 47900 for Note 4).
With such similarities between the G901F and the Note 4 Snapdragon, why is it that the Note 4 is being so fully supported by Devs? I thought I'd post it in the Note 4 section as this is theoretically where anyone with the knowledge to answer that will reside.
This wasn't intended as a question but it seems I ticked the box. Could a mod fix it? Cheers.
Hope someone can help
Note is a better and more capable device. Most who try, never go back.
The Note 4 is much more popular.

That's exactly it. Devs only tend to support a phone they own. If there's not many people own your device then there is little support. A lot of note 3 owners were complaining that the eteam released dn4 for the note 2 and not the n3 saying it was an outdated device. The simple answer is none of the eteam owned a note3
Does anyone know when this phone is getting 5.1/5.1.1? I thought At&t Guaranteed it and other phones such as the note edge and note 4 got their update this weekend. When am I gonna get it, if ever?

Oh dear, it looks like this time the AT&T guys are making us try patience, but you know this isn't the AT&T this is sammy guys who decides what goes first and may be they are not so keen on updating our beloved note 3. But don't be heart braked too because they sometimes give surprises tooooooooo.
5.1.1

I asked that question on the ATT Community forum and was told that the Note 3 and the S4 are not on the upgrade list. Meanwhile the much older Galaxy Nexus (2012?) is getting Marshmallow I heard today.

I think that they were saying that a ROM like Cyanogen was being developed so the Galaxy Nexus could get Marshmallow

Actually the Galaxy Nexus did not come up on the ATT forum thread. It was pointed out that the Note 3 and the S4 (unlike the S5 and newer) would never see 5.1.1 . I was hoping to get better battery life with the 5.1.1 upgrade. I actually ordered the Nexus 6P twice then cancelled the order twice but I am definitely attracted to the idea of fast updates and long-lasting eligibility for upgrades offered by owning a Nexus device.

Yeah, I was considering a nexus but the idea of not having hardware buttons scared me

I was going to get the 128 gig version but kept getting cold feet due to the fact that it has the Snapdragon 810 processor. If it had the not yet released Snapdragon 820, I think I would stop cancelling my order.

It seems like they are not interested in doing such thing yet, as far now the Samsung has issued a roadmap of the devices receiving or expected to receive Marshmallow update in near future and unfortunately Our beloved Galaxy Note 3 is not in the list. See this http://www.gsmarena.com/alleged_samsung_marshmallow_update_roadmap_leaks-news-15023.php
The Note 3 has been sunseted. Meaning no more updates. They were never going to release any updates above 5.0. on the Note 3.
The sad thing is because of this, I am done with buying another Samsung phone or tablet!
I just read they have sent 5.0 out to the note 3. You can also manually download and install through odin.
