Has anyone had the issue of the recovery lagging really bad? I was on CWM recovery and I would select something and it took about a second or two for it to do what I wanted it to do. I just installed TWRP and it does the same thing. I never had this problem on my SIII but I do on my SIV. Its just annoying. I can live with it but I'm just trying to figure out if anyone else has been experiencing the same issue as me.

Hey guys. I have a very interesting situation happening with a VZW Galaxy Tab 7.1 that I bought from someone (I own a business buying/selling/trading cellphones and tablets)..
As soon as you boot it up, every app starts to force close!
If you sit there long enough and accept them all, you can actually use it a little bit. Apps keep FCing as you play with it, though.
The only noticeable thing is that the wallpaper always stays the same. It was 2.3.4 (I believe) when I got it, but I've tried flashing stock ROMs and the Galaxy Cubed 3 ROM through Heimdall, but that wallpaper ALWAYS stays there!
I just flashed the Galaxy Cubed 3 ROM on there 20mins ago, and everything switched over (the look, the battery icon, notification bar, window animations) EXCEPT that wallpaper (which ironically is of B.I.G.) and the FC issues.
I read somewhere about JTAG or something, but it boots fine, just having software issues.
PLEASE, if anyone knows anything about this issue, I need to sell this thing so I can make some money =) Thanks in advance for the help!
im in the exact same boat with a customers tablet. ive tried everything. takes forever to boot and factory reset does nothing. 4 installed apps never uninstall either.
Do you have custom recovery installed? After flashing with Heimdall, enter custom recovery and wipe data and cache. Reboot. No more issues.
I can't find a way to get custom recovery to flash. I've tried every walkthrough. There's no explanation as to why factory reset/wipe doesn't work
I have a rooted E7 with TWRP 2.5.6.0. The problem which I am facing is, that the phone randomly reboots. After this, something weird happens with the phone. The storage show that the files are present on memory, but the images aren't visible in gallery. Also if I try to take a screenshot, it gives some error. After manually rebooting the phone, everything starts working normally.
So, is anyone else facing the same issue??
Any solution for this random reboot issue?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
I experience random reboots on Gionee e7 too after KitKat update. It happens when I'm using the phone for certain tasks like browsing net, using camera, switching between multiple apps. I've rooted the phone now and have TWRP recovery. Was looking for some stable custom ROMs, but sadly nothing worthwhile found yet. So I guess I'll eventually flash stock Jelly bean for Gionee e7 now.

I have the same problem, with less of 1 month with the phone here, apparead random reboots, i can flash with GNQC or TWRP, CWM or other recovery, i have random reboots too... But i send my Gionee to the SAT here, i think that is problem of hardware....
Hey i did fixed my permissions with twrp on lollipop and then rebooted. It reboots normally, but i saw some people complaining about it and how they never came back to the backup they had..
It seems that it didnt work in a way, cause it took just a split of a second to fix them, and the process is usually taking 4-5 minutes.
can someone explain me whatever happened or sholdv happen if the fix permissions wouldv work? Or if they really did work? Im very very confused.
Hi guys.
A few days ago I started experiencing the bootloop of death on my beloved 6p. That forced me to upgrade to O, apply the modified boot image offered here as a fix and everything's fine except that I really miss my gravitybox (*sniff*).
Anyway, since that day, I haven't been able to do a successful nandroid backup, because my phone reboots to system mid-backup.
So I'm wondering, could the problem with the cores be affecting TWRP as well? Cuz a backup is a complex process that use 4 cores?
Has anyone else experienced a reboot mid-backup?
If not, then I'll ask the guys over at TWRP, but as I said, I suspect it has to do with the phone itself.
Cheers.
In the blod thread, there is a modded 4 core twrp that you can use.
Same idea as the modded boot img, twrp will only use the 4 small cores
I just bot my Galaxy Tab A (SM-T580) day before yesterday. I set security to a simple pattern, but it takes 8-9 seconds after entering the pattern before the home screen appears. When doing the same with my phone, also running Android 7.0, it's virtually instantaneous. Anyone else having this issue?
Also, I half expected the tablet to include a fingerprint sensor. I thought I read somewhere that it had one?
Is anyone else experiencing the long delay after entering the log in pattern?
This issue has been bugging me. I didn't know if the tablet was defective or it's something I did. To resolve this issue I reverted back to the as received stock firmware without root and original recovery software. The delay after pattern disappeared. I then re-rooted it and the delay came back. How strange! Has anyone else experience this? At least I now know my tablet is not defective. Why rooting causes it is a real mystery to me?

Remove root then flash supersu v2.79. Reboot then over the top flash v2.82.
Hopefully this fixes the issue.

Thanks. I tried that with the same result. Any ideas what's happening and why?
BTW, I followed the rooting steps provided here:

Update: Started over with Magisk in lieu of SuperSU and that solved the problem. No pattern delay now. Followed the steps here with substitution of Magisk for SuperSU:
