You need to first flash latest CM10 and then flash CM10.2.

You need to first install CM10, then CM10.2, flash update recovery and then flash CM11. Read first before posting, this has been answered a million times before.

N7 Grouper stuck in bootloop when flashing custom ROMs after factory image reset

I would welcome any help here. I have a Grouper N7 that until recently was running the XenonHD rom on the 4.13 bootloader. Due to travel that I was on I encrypted the tablet, but now that those circumstances are not happening anymore, I upgraded the bootloader to 4.23 and then flashed the JWR66V factory stock image. One all that was done I rooted and installed TWRP 2.6.3.1. I have tried SmoothROM, ButteredGrouper and Slim (all 4.3.3 roms) and while everything seemed to flash properly, all of them get stuck in the animation while booting. I even tried downgrading the bootloader and reflashed the last official version of XenonHD and still got the same results. So far, the only way I have been able to get the tablet to boot all the way up is to flash the stock image, and that is just not good enough...
Any ideas on what I am missing?
When going from ROM to ROM you need to do a factory reset in your custom recovery prior to flashing the ROM

I did. Same results. I also just sat the tablet down for an hour and walked away from it. No joy.

Well, I feel stupid. I just tried downgrading TWRP to 2.6.3 and that fixed the issue. I guess I never realized that 2.6.3.1 had issues since I haven't flashed a new ROM in a while... Geez.

Error upon flashing....

Hi, I have the 2012 Nexus 7, Wifi only, 16GB, its running stock 4.4.2 rom at this time. I have unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp, and rooted using Wugs Nexus Rootkit (Bless him lol). But now whenever I try to flash any Rom, I've tried about five from different places and downloaded on multiple devices then put them on my nexus, and they will not install. I get this error about md5 which I have no idea why it would be the error every single time I try any different Rom... But here is what it says.
Here are two different ones but both say md5

You need to downgrade to stock android 4.3 as you are trying to flash a 4.3 Jellybean ROM

Try switching to CWM using the rom manager from the play store. I had the exact same problem. Everytime i wanted to flash something via TWRP it would always fail, but once i switched to cwm the problem went away

I pretty sure you dont have to downgrade to 4.3 to flash a 4.3 rom. As long as the tablet is rooted and the rom you want to flash is for the N7 it should work, at least it always has for me but TWRP seems to be having a problem flashing roms lately...correct me if i'm wrong tho

My last post lol..... I did some research and found out the old version of TWRP has problems on 4.4 so you might have to update TWRP to the lastest version in order to flash zips on 4.4 kitkat. There's a post somewhere around here that mentions it and has a guide that tells how to install the lastest version...

Steps:
1. Boot to TWRP recovery
2. Select wipe, advanced wipe(Dalvik cache, system, data, internet storage and cache)
3. Wipe successful
4. Install (Select Aurora ROM, skip zip file signature verification)
5. Mounted system, data, cache and micro sd card
6. Confirmed flash and stuck at installation begin.
Thanks,
The steps u followed are perfect...
Then on which ROM you were before installing aurora if it was other than stock ROM then first try going on the stock ROM and then installing the aurora.
Because I too faced same problem with the Dr. Ketan ROM and first had to go on stock and then install the rom . it worked for me I hope it works for u

KitKat 4.2.2 BobCat ROM
I was able to flash Hybrid Norma, Phronesis 5.1.1 with no issues. Video recording, NFC are issues with these ROMs.
Hence trying other ROMS to see whether it works.

Yes I directly flashed after formatting system, cache, and userdata partitions through fastboot. It worked. Most important thing is put update zip in external sd card, not in internal memory otherwise it will show No os installed.

i was also getting error 7 when trying flash rom's as well.
I tried updating TWRP as instructed above and continued to get twrp error 7 when i tried to flash any rom.
I then noticed that my error was based on the modem baseband date being wrong.
So I just re-ran the 20s update via eui's update utility and rebooted and was able to flash rom's again.
I hope that helps somebody.
I don't believe the problem was the TWRP version because I re-flashed it twice and the error 7 persisted

I had to flash the 20s firmware from codeworks thread in my case the error 7 was because I had the wrong modem date installed.

Respectfully, there is no 21s firmware, go back one page and read.
This error 7 is the most common issue on the Le Pro 3 forums and the question has been answered literally a thousand times.
Error 7 is resolved by updating Twrp.
If you cant update Twrp, update your firmware.
Do a Google search and type : "All in One Tool Leeco Pro 3"
You can use it to resolve all of the possible issue variables, so download the newest version of Twrp for your device.
If you have a ZL1 then download the Twrp for the ZL1 if you have a ZL0 then download the TWRP for the ZL0 : I suspect that this is your actual issue: wrong Twrp.
Again get your files together: Twrp, Rom, Gapps, Magisk and at your current stage of using Roms the All in One tool is the best and easiest option. The All in One Instructions are on the Main All In One Tool XDA page.
Sim Card Card issues are often resolved after flashing the correct firmware.
