So someone packaged CWM up into a flashable zip, but is it also possible to make the whole factory image from google into a flashable zip, so you have the whole stock ROM and stock recovery, by flashing it in CWM?

Can I use the regular twrp and just flash the loki doki when I need it or does twrp need to be loki'd?

Just flash loki doki afterwards. Though most kernels nowadays have been loki'd already.
I've been looking at oudhs recovery source...trying to figure out uf I can get his auto loki on twrp...but unfortunately they are too differnt...90% of the files he modified to enable the custom exit scripts do not exist in twrp source...im no dev or coder but ive been doing allot of reading trying to figure out how to add it in...essentially what I need to do is find the code for reboot and throw in the loki doki script, when reboot is pressed have it run loki doki before actually rebooting...but again...im no coder or dev so its taking me awhile to figure out what i need to do and where the code for the reboot in twrp is located in the first place

I have twrp installed and I flashed pacman ROM but I want to flash clockworkmod so I can flash gummy ROM. Is there a special way to do that or can I just flash a cwm zip in recovery?

I finally got twrp to install on att after ota. The version is 2.6.3.0. I did it with the freegee app. I made a back up of my stock rom. I tried to flash Aeon rom but it will not boot. I flashed it twice like it says in the thread. I saw were some people were having issues getting it to boot. I cant get recovery to update to the newest version. I tried using flashify and also flashing in recovery. Will i be able to flash a rom on 2.6.3.0.

I can't upgrade twrp either. I think mine has something to do with my.OTA and root after. Tonight, after I find all the required files, I'm going to flash back to stock, pre-OTA and try again.

Would assume it's your recovery. You can't flash 2.6.3.3?
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/g2att/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-g2att.zip
I've tried every which way to flash it. I have 2.3.6.0 from freegee. For whatever reason, I can't upgrade to anything other.

Every which way? There's really only one way lol.
Negative. Via freegee, flashify, from the pc, via twrp, that's more than one. I can't get it.to update twrp past 2.3.6.0....... I've been thru all the different options......

You said you couldn't get Intl recovery to update twrp. Download 2.6.3.3, go into recovery and flash that zip. It will update your twrp and you'll have no issues flashing 4.4 ROMs.
I don't suggest using 2.6.3.4 because people have reported issues with it.

If you can't just flash the 2.6.3.3 zip, then I have no idea what to suggest. I installed twrp by pushing it from my computer and was able to update with no issues. You will not be able to flash 4.4 ROMs with anything less than 2.6.3.3

Ah, I must have missed the bit about you taking the OTA. I was wondering if after taking it, whether there was a root/recovery method.

I just rooted my phone and would like to find out if I can flash zips for thing like mods (NOT ROMS) safely.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium
Mods/Roms are flashed in same way through CUSTOM RECOVERY (TWRP or PhilzTouch). Remember always make a nandroid backup before install any mod for recovery your system in case it goes wrong :highfive:
Does that mean I cannot flash through the stock recovery?
