[Q] HELP! I soft bricked my S4 and I'm lost! - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Hello!
I am just lost and any help will be appreciated. I have a Galaxy S4 Sprint SPH-L720. I have it with Android 4.3 rooted and this morning I had the MK2 upgrade so I upgraded it. Big mistake! After the upgrade, I couldn't turn wifi on. I have no idea why.
So I was looking for an answer and I found that I needed to replace some files, but my device needed to be rooted for that. I had my device rooted before but after the MK2 upgrade, I lost root privileges. Then, I tried to re-root it, and apparently I did something wrong and I soft bricked my phone.
I have no idea how to fix this. I know I have to do it through ODIN, but which is the correct TAR file? How do I fix this?
Thank you in advance for any help!

Second this all I have now is the Samsung Galaxy S4 splash screen

Download the mja tar file and odin that. Then do a factory reset in recovery.

[Q] MF3 SGH-I337 rooted to I-9505?

Can I install the I-9505 firmware on a MF3 rooted? How?
Thanks,
Caio.
No, because there is no recovery method exploit for those on MF3 firmware at the moment. Track the progress here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43890414

Not happening. You can't install a custom recovery, nor ROM. Please don't try to install a custom recovery anyway, it will destroy your factory recovery and you will not be able to get it back until the devs here come up with a solution (which could be a long time). Your absolutely stuck with rooted MF3, no exceptions at this time that me or anyone else on this forum is aware of.
Not no, but NO, and if you figure a way, android is looking to hire you....
ok, thanks for all

[Q] Noob here, Help Needed (what's new)

Hello,
First off I am very new to this. I always try to be as careful as possible and do as much research as I can. I follow all the steps as directed and ask questions ahead of time before screwing things up.
My problem now is I accepted an OTA update to 4.3 from what I thought was a stock 4.2.2. Apparently I was wrong and the superUSER app was still installed on my phone. I no longer have the ability to use my WiFi- (I switch the toggle and it just stays off) I have tried to reset and restore. I have tried to delete all data and re-install. I have tried everything I'm comfortable with at this point. I dont know if I should try using ODIN to flash stock since I probably have a knox bootlocker and dont want to do more damage. I am posting photos because I noticed my naseband and my build number don't match up. I am afraid im stuck in between 4.2.2 and 4.3. I would greatly appreciate any advice or even a push in the right direction. I have been searching trying to find a solution for over a month and the most I can get is... "your an idiot, dont update OTA while rooted, etc etc" Hindsight is 20/20. Thank you again for your time.

I am not an expert but from what Im seeing your on a 4.3 rom but the modem did not update. Your modem is still mf9. I would flash a 4.2 rom and go from there. I don't want to give the wrong info hopefully someone can chime in that knows more than me.

Yeah that is what I was noticing as well. I have soft bricked my phone twice now trying to use odin and going back to a stock 4.2. The flash says fail everytime. I am wondering if KNOX is blocking ODIN from flashing the new ROM. Thanks for your quick response and I guess this means I am on the right path. Now I just need to find a way to flash a stock 4.2 on my fluster clucked half 4.2 half 4.3 phone.
I do know that once you're on MJA there's no going backwards. Try odining the modem. Make sure you turn your phone off...then boot to DL mode. Don't just boot to DL mode seems to work better that way.

I would suggest first trying to reinstall your mf9 modem via odin , if that doesn't work I'd try to install the mja modem via odin. You can find the links to files here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42954149&postcount=2
And a thread about a similar issue so you can get a better idea of what you need to do.

[Issue] Need Pro HELP! GS4 Nand Write fail

HELP!
My Galaxy S4 has NAND Write FAILED on Odin, I know it's definitely bricked. Is there anyone that can fix it with Jtag? or anywhere here in Clovis/Fresno/Sanger California Location?
S4 Specs:
-SGH-i337 (MF3, had the OTA 4.3 Firmware update)
Insights;
I tried to do Odin, and flashed multiple, compatible PDA and stuff etc, but all failed. It's because of 4.3 and KNOX..#@$3! Best Buy couldn't fix it either.
I talked with a pro tech guy with Wysdom App for Android, and it can be revived by Jtagging.
Please help ASAP! Thanks!

If you have stock rom and rooted it, the issue is most probably caused by knox.
Removing knox or changing to a rom without knox should fix the issue.

[Q] I337UCUFNJ4 AT&T Galaxy S4 4.4.4 only download mode

i root my gs4 with odin, everything went fine but I wanted to get my gs faster so i downloaded kernel for gs4 and flashed it. mistake here. i didnt check if it supports 4.4.4. it only support devices under 4.3 so.. no wifi. that was the problem i had other than that, all was good. than I downloaded some OTA file for my gs4 and when i tried to flash it with safestrap, it kept said fail. so i thought it's maybe because i already have OS installed... so i wiped system, data and i tried to flash that OTA file, fail again. now im screwd. there is no OS on my gs4. when i trun it on, it vibrates, than reboots and than goes into Odinmode and say something like "nornal boot not possible" in red.
so i spent couple days searching how to get my phone work again but everything i tried didnt work. and for galaxy s4 sgh i337 nj4 version 4.4.4 it even made me think it was made just for me.
i tried kies, failed it told me to do emergency recovery but my phone does not show on list.
can anyone please help me.. Im new to Samsung Galaxy..

You'll have to use the ODIN file from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2674223
Flash that in ODIN, use the rootable version if you want to root it using towelroot.
Besides that, you can't flash any custom kernels on the S4 unless you're on the 4.2.2 MDL bootloader, and there's no way to get back to that from 4.4.
