First Cm11 nightly has dropped for yuga.
Very stable, easily ready for daily driver.
I upgraded from 10.2 without full wipe and there seems to be no issues.
Do you use viber voip app?if you do use it lemme know whether there's a stutter when you record voice message. cause all of the CM11 builds that issue,
I tested with my friends phone and he has the same issue. and on nexus 5 there's no stutter at all.
is it possible tpo make black contact list, phone, sms ?

i cannot understand how smooth and stable it is when 10.2 and 10.1 started off so buggy in their initial stages. Hats off to the CM and FXP team a thousand fold.

At the moment the phone app is white, but the dialer is black. Looks weird. Hopefully this is improved.
People and sms apps appear to be theme-able. I have a transparent theme so those are transparent for me so my wallpaper displays.

It is very stable for a first release. I haven't had one fc or rendering issue so far. Battery seems to be a little better than the last 10.2 nightly too.

Did you install gapps again for 4.4? afaik playstore will not connect if you are using 4.4 with the gapps provided for 4.3
Yes, installed 4.4 gapps from CM wiki.
I rebooted into CWM, backed up!, cleared caches, installed ROM, installed gapps, cleared caches again, rebooted...

It's been fix several builds ago. MMS video with sound now works.

I think pretty much everything works now with the latest cm7 builds. Of course, there are going to be several more bugs fixed that you may or may not ever run across.
I have flashed cm7 nightlies every night from build #7, it might be working but it is not working on my Incredible...the MMS is received but video won't play and the sound won't play either, usually a qcp file... this has been my only issue on every build, any help is greatly appreciated, thank you

How have you been installing the nightly builds? Just flashing over? Clearing Dalvik and cache? Full wipe? If you've just been flashing over try clearing Dalvik and the cache. If that fails then do a nandroid backup and full wipe and reflash.
Agreed, it is really amazing
I'm looking forward to trying this ROM, but I'm loving my device right now while running Virtuous w/ Lou's #9 kernel. Everything works, is fast and very stable. Maybe after I get back from vacation next week the CM7 team will have most of the kinks worked out. Can't wait!
There aren't any kinks, that's the point
They're very close to a RC
I noticed with build 19 that notification beeps now come out as BEEPSQUAKPPP really loud and distorted (sorry for the bad sound effect impression). Is anyone else having this problem? Specifically I noticed it when connecting to BT Speakerphone and SMS inbound.
i started flashing these around #10. really great build so far. i may switch to CM7 as a daily once the final is released.

Yes, they are close, but the reason they aren't there yet is because there are still a few kinks. They're calling it RC0 right now, but I'm not sure what to think of that. The following definition is from Wikipedia:
"The term release candidate (RC) refers to a version with potential to be a final product, ready to release unless fatal bugs emerge. In this stage of product stabilization, all product features have been designed, coded and tested through one or more beta cycles with no known showstopper-class bug."
CM7 skipped right over Beta. It went straight from Alpha to RC0. Maybe the thinking is, with so many people flashing the nightly builds that suffices as Beta testing.

According to their post, it is still Alpha. Not Beta, Not RC. It is Alpha.
So, will RC1 == beta??? I don't know, but at this point, I would say technically yes because they are still putting in new features every few days. That, by defination, is alpha. Beta would be testing and fixing, testing and fixing. RC would be they think it is done, lets do one more full-on test. If a problem is found, fix and increment RC. If none found, release as final version.
Also, at this point, there is no bugtracker for CM7. That would indicate alpha, where bugs upcoming features are still internal to the devs. Usually, during beta, public bugtracking is provided to get everything working on a broad scale and to accept additional feature requests.

Battery life
I am really liking the nightly builds as well.
I am on build #20 now and everything seems to be working just fine.
Except the battery life. My battery only last ~8 hours now. Looks like it is just being killed by the display. The display used 70% of the battery with an uptime of 2 hours.
I may have to switch back to another ROM if I can't get better battery life that 8 hours.
I'm on CM7 #19 - Anyone notice that the Pinch to Zoom in the browser is not re-sizing the text wraparound properly. Takes like 3 or 4 attempts to get it right.
Is it just me or are others seeing this as well?
im on 22 with the beta kernel and this thing rocks, should be an rc imo as it is, I havent had issues since the first omgb and evervolvs, never had a prob with crackflashers or nightlies. I have even gone back to other roms, they never make it thru the day on my phone. CM7 is THE ROM!
#24. Wow!

Hard to believe these aren't listed as RC1, running very smooth!
What is difference between the Cm7 nightly and weekly rom and which one is better?
Do i need to take care switching from Nightly to weekly or just flash and do the 2 wipes?

You're better off just staying on the latest build, and not using the nightly or weekly builds. These are not considered 'stable, daily driver' builds, and are aimed at the more experienced user who doesn't shudder at the thought of soft-bricking, or losing data.

How does the FP work in your build? I've heard mixed reviews about it.
I got the nightly build and my browser is crashing sometimes.
Is the stable one (no nightly ) the weekly build?
If yes why does it say that the fingerprintscanner is not working or is it not updatet yet?
I've had no problem with any of the nightlies I've run. Also no need to wipe when switching between cm7 builds. I haven't wiped since the first pre-beta.

The thread "No Nightly Ba2tf" is the current stable and there is a thread for weekly builds courtesy of the atrix-dev-team in the development section. Nightlys are on the get.cm download site.
I normally run nightlys with limited problems and haven't tried a weekly yet but was thinking about it. Most people just stick with the stable builds from the first thread I mentioned

Works great for me, better than blur!! Its more responsive, you can swipe upside down (imagine holing the phone sideways and just swiping your left index finger the "wrong" way and being able to unlock), And it works as a trackball. Very cool.
I flashed today the weekly build and wanted to try the FP somehow the phone turned off and the motorola logo was showing after turning on.
It was really weird, so i flashed the stable one and i still get browser forcecloses sometimes and that really annoys me.

No force closes here. Maybe you need a fresh flash with wipes.
EDIT: Solved - check CM11 discussion thread in the General section for @kabaldan 's fix. Fixed nightlies shoild start soon.
Hi all, I just received my RAZR M today and as usual, I flashed the latest CM nightly (20140301, unified) on it. To my surprise, there was heavy lag and stutter all over the system, even though I swear I did a clean install and didn't install anything afterwards (not even GAPPS). I posted this in the CM11 discussion thread:
AndyYan said:
...outfitted it with dhacker's TWRP 2.6.3.2, plus the latest unified nightly and @arrrghhh 's kernel, but to my surprise, animations stutter everywhere and items take a while to open. Reflashed without the kernel and the lag persists.
For reference, I flashed the same unified nightly on my Photon Q and things are still as smooth as ever. The RAZR M and Photon Q shares near identical internals, screen, etc. - they even share the same unified nightly.

I decided to try older nightlies to trace back the latest usable one, but again to my disappointment, out of the ones available on get.cm, only CM10.1 operates as smooth as it should, all builds from CM10.2 onwards lag heavily.
Then I came across this:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/79209-major-lag-on-nightlies/
... which precisely described the issue I'm having, but without a solution.
Can anyone, especially those who claim to be using CM with "no problems", shed some light on this? Please don't advise me away from CM, I'm used to its feature set and don't want to get used to another unless necessary... Thank you in advance.
EDIT: Tried even more ways to ease the lag, only "disable HW overlays" seemed to help for a tiny bit. Also, testing with multiple benchmark softwares show that the device's performance is unaffected, so maybe the problem is on the graphics side...

I can confirm the same behavior. CM 10.1 is soo smooth. I've been living with the CM11 problems for the additional features though. I just reloaded a CM10.1 backup to make sure I wasn't imagining things... It's definitely much smoother. I hour this gets fixed.

Already fixed - see the CM11 discussion thread in the General section for details. A kernel is uploaded for flashing; also, the necessary patch is already pushed, so next nightly will hopefully include the fix.

I have some newbie questions:
- I was wondering why there weren't any CM11 version for the S4 (T-Mobile) on cyanogenmod.com?
- Also, how can I get the stock Lollipop icons on the CM12 nightly?
- Will there be a stable version of CM12 eventually or will it only be nightlies?
- How stable are the nighlies?
Thanks
CM11 was a unified project I think. Meaning that all CM roms were under the JFLTXX project..
Stock lollipop meaning? If you want a pure android experience, go with a GPE rom.
Devs start working on Nightlies once the rom has reach a stable status, as far as I know.
So it's Alpha>Beta>RC>Stable>Nightlies.

That's what I thought too from my experience with CM7 some years ago. But I can't find the stable build. But I've decided not to use it because on a ongoing bug with the microphone having a very low volume. I tried two different fixes to no avail. Other than the fact that it's a phone and the microphone is kind of important, I record song ideas on my phone.
Stock lollipop I mean just the icons that come with lollipop. CM12 changes a lot of the icons to their own.

A nightly build is a neutral build. These typically take place when no one is likely to be working in the office so that there are no changes to the source code during the build.

CM12 has a microphone gain setting in the stweaks app. Doesn't CM11 have that setting too?
If you want stock icons, go with a GPE rom. It offers the pure android experience. Exactly like google developed it.

I did not know that! I'll have to check it out! As far as icons are concerned, they're just icons. If I like CM12 I won't let that come in my way. Plus I haven't found GPE version that works well on my phone (for Lollipop, not KitKat).
That being said I still don't know if there ever was a stable release of CM12. And what is a snapshot release?

AntaresOne and Alucard's optimized CM12 builds seem to be stable. I flashed it on a friends s4 and it works fine.
The GPE rom builds by Danvdh are pretty stable. I have no issues here. Been very stable and problem free since the day I first flashed the rom. Also has nice battery life. Battery stats once reported up to 14 day of battery life wheb idle
Edit: You can find a description about nightly, snapshot, rc, and stable in the cyanogenmod device selection. If they didn't change the layout. But I know for sure there were descriptions of what each of those terms mean

For Danvdh indeed it seems to be a great ROM but I can't use is on my phone. I have a bug that I was never able to get rid of no matter what type of wiping I used or what kernel I installed and I'm unable to get the logcat through ADB to report the bug properly. I install it and everything runs smoothly until the screen shuts off after being idle for 10 minutes. Then I wake it up and instead of showing me the lock screen it tries to show the home screen, then the screen goes blank, then goes black, shows the home screen, goes blank, goes black and so on until I reboot it. Once it's rebooted, on the lock screen I get a UI System has crashed message. The phone is then ususable because I can't get further than that. I would love for it to work as it would give me GPE and Lollipop!

On my phone it's working really really fast. I don't know how they did that. The only thing is that it's based on 5.0 so with the bugs that were originally on 5.0. I hope it'll be updated to 5.1. But otherwise it's great!

The dev lost his phone or something like that. I just know he doesn't have an S4 anymore, that's why development stopped.
But he is about to get another one soon.
I am looking for the fastest rom, longest battery life for this Tablet. I ended breaking it with CM12.1. Power button delay with up to 60 seconds long and applications opening up taking even longer. I had CM 10 on it before. Should I go back to JB or try KitKat? Should I stick with CM? I just want to flash it and be done with it.
I use:
-Heartstone -Twitch -Youtube -Web browsers -books.
I don't care about the version.
Just want -speed -battery life -performance.
Would CM10 be the best? [Heartstone was terrible on this.]
Should I try F2F2? I haven't done it before.
Or would CM11 be the best?
What do you guys recommended for me?
I'm using the CM11 snapshot for nearly 6 months now.... it's awesome. ..
I upgraded to Lollipop within CM and that just broke everything. I did fresh installation, but I still couldn't get Heartstone to connect to the net. After going through fresh installations of cm10, cm11, and cm12 for most of yesterday. I am currently sitting on CM12 and it's working well. No more slowness like before. Heartstone is running, a bit slow, but it's fine for me. What I am really happy about is the ability to stream movies over the network as this slow or broken before. Thanks for the help.
Nijom, BTW, I was on CM10 for like 2 years? It had some problems, but worked for the most part. However I never really used the tablet for anything, but now, it's being used almost daily.

I usually aim for stable versions, but my buddy is a big fan of nightlies on his main device and he hasn't troubles. Or it hasn't been too bad for him. For my Wi-fi nodes, I think will start installing whatever, now. I do not have to worry about contacts, smses, or whatever on those devices.
