Have a ATT S4 I337 with a Straight Talk ATT sim and MF3. Tried to OTA and keeps saying software update interrupted. I reflashed MF3 through Odin and still says the same thing. Does anyone have a Odin flash-able MK2?? Want that 4.3 update! Thanks!

Oh yeah, I found that one before and tried to flash it but got that temp/7 error message. I heard if I flashed MF3 again to stock it could work, so I'll report back in about 30 when it's done.

If you want root make sure you root and then use Super I survival mode.
Wow! It worked! Been looking everywhere for the damn update.
The Fix: Reflashed MF3 through Odin and Zip flashed the MK2 in stock recovery. It does erase everything so make sure you back up.
Where did you find the MF3 Odin? google has come up with nothing but just this post.

I'm on MF3 right now as well. If we flash to MK2 with ODIN, can we revert back to MF3 if we ever wanted to?

Download the files in the link that IS350 posted and download Odin (I used version 1.85) and put the files in the correct spots in Odin (also in the thread in the link) and flash to stock. Then take the zip file from the link below (Make sure you change it from .cfg to .zip) and put in on your SD card. Then boot into stock recovery, flash the .zip and done!

This is the link for the one click stock MK2. This will work if you are upgrading from 4.3 or if you have that temperary 4.4 leak and want to go back to MK2. Just download and put the TAR file in the PDA slot in ODIN.

I spent 6 hours working on unbricking my phone and trying to re install the stock mf3 rom to my s4 that I was on only to find out that I needed the MK2 rom you provided and voila it worked. I kept getting errors in odin, heimdall, and when trying to sideload a rom it kept saying auth failed or signature verification error. Thanks to you not only did I unbrick it but it also updated which was my goal in the first place when it got bricked. Thanks again I really appreciate you posting the link otherwise I would have been short and on a wild goose chase. :good::good::good::good::good:

Whenever I try to update using the system update it downloads the update and when it tries to install it bootloops my device which I unbrick using an odin file I found somewhere around here. I believe I may have uninstalled an important system file with titanium backup which is causing the softbrick or the root, either way will I be able to reflash the rom? Or is there another solution?

You can either take your battery out and try and boot up again, but more likely You need to Reflash 4.4.2 and re-root, - seems the bootloader isn't playing too nice with everyone currently.

That file you used was recently updated by chainfire to work with Kit Kat. Could it be something in there kept you bootlooping?
I have a copy of the old file that was used to root JB. If you want I'll upload it somewhere for you to try. Same process only different file.

Take your battery out to kill the power, then it'll let you go back to download mode when it's powered off.
hey_joe is correct with the fact you seem to have used the wrong CF file which is for 4.4 and doesn't seem to work with 4.3 builds.

No. As I said Chainfire updated the file to work with Kit Kat and maybe something from that update is causing the bootloop. Because he can't downgrade his phone's firmware to JB, he probably couldn't test if there was an issue or not with JB using the new file. Anyway it's just my thought. You can try the old file and see if it works. It beats having to download the whole firmware and flashing all over again.

You will need a custom recovery, You can try either Chenglu's CWM, PhilZ CWM or TWRP - all three are easy to use, quite easy to install also -- Open ODIN, flash in PDA and after 10secs or so all done, have a look around at the ROM's there's some nice one's going

Hello,
*
I come to you because it has been more than 24 hours that I try to install an AOSP rom in my s4 Galaxy (GT-I9505)
In fact I have a big concern when I flash CF-Root-jflte Self-jfltexx-gti9505.zip (latest site chainefire) with odin everything goes correctly
But once back in android, not Rooted (lack binary ...)
-I tried several version odin (1.85, 3.04, 3.07 and 3.09)
-I tried on several PCs (Windows 7 and Windows 8)
-I tried several USB cables
-I made full wipe
-I flashed the PIT file from the stock rom 4.4.2 (version in my S4)
-I tried to put everything back to zero with a stock rom
*
Without success, my phone does not want to be Root ...
*
So I thought I flashed a Recovery
I tried TWRP, CWM and Philz-recovery and reboot before all began to flash, so do not even touch system
I tried several rom AOSP (11 cm, slimkat ...)
*
Could you please give me a little help here because I dry supplement
I'm bored here, this is my 5th as samsung and this is the first where I can not install CM 11
I do not understand why not traveling on wheels Recovery flash, they do not put error message but reboot alone and without flash
*
Ps: I've tried stock rom pre-Rooted to fasher with odin, it works, I have root but it does not address the concern of recovery
Sorry very bad English, it's google traduction

Ok, follow these steps. Ignore anyone, if you have already done.
That's what I do and usually gives everything well.
Flash samsung stock rom, after reboot, open Supersu disable Knox, Turn device off, turn the divce on in download mode, flash the custom recovery (Philz or TWRP recommended).
Have you try this?

Why not just flash a stock rooted rom, and go from there. If it's the GPE there is a rooted ROM that fits that phone. That's what I did.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569510
That's the ROM I used.
Nevermind I noticed that you have the I9505 and not the I9505G.

Thank you very much, I did not know I could go into gt-i9505g with odin. I try this tonight
Edit :
Are you sure I can?
"WARNING: Stop asking if you can flash this on other phones. You can NOT. It is meant for the I9505G ONLY. This is NOT a "rom". This is a system image for the I9505G. Flashing to any other phone will brick it."
Ok try this:
Flash TWRP recovery true Odin. Make sure auto-reboot is unchecked.

I already tried that
I am root in the rom, but not in the recovery
Recovery works but it can not touch the system partition.
I'll try to flash a custom kernel with mobile odin

You are correct. You should not flash that rom on your phone. It was my mistake.

Yes tried it manually. It keeps going to that screen. I tried the original MDC tar and the original MK2 tar. Neither worked. I was on NAE before all this. Do I need that one?

I don't believe you can downgrade from MK2 or above.
What I would do is pull the battery, download latest NG2 tar from sammobile.
Load it into odin. put your phone's battery in and press+hold the power button and vol down button at the same time. Hopefully you will boot into download mode at this point. Then you can plug your phone into your pc via usb and flash stock rom.
If that fails, have you attempted using kies yet?

Ok so I flashed the NG2 firmware and it worked. Now I just can't get service. No calls or text? Any ideas?

Try reflashing the ng2 firmware. Make sure you get it from sammobile (or the xda thread that uses sammobile as the source) and double check the md5sum.
If you dont wanna go through all that you can try flashing the ng2 modem-only found in the stock roms thread of the development section. you gotta use odin for that. try a different slot if it doesn't work for you.
Is your software and firmware recognized under about phone menu of the settings?

I got it working by just doing a factory reset. All good now!!!
SM-N910G, I flashed chainfire's auto root without first using the Dr K/PhilZ forced/submissive whatever kernel first.
I can't seem to find a normal stock rom to push through Odin without encountering a sea of dodgy download sites.
Can anyone help? Just want a 5.1.1 stock rom...
Even any of the other 5.1.1 builds like Simpl, I can't seem to find a tar file.
Any nudges in the right direction would be very handy.
Thanks in advance.

If you want to return to stock.
Download Samfirm from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647
Then extract the files and run the tool.
Then enter the model as SM-N910G and the region you are in (CSC)
Then tick the 'Auto' box and press 'Check Update' and the 'Decrypt automatically'
It should look something like this, I put INS which is for India.
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

Then extract the firmware from the downloaded file using an archive tool such as Winrar and flash it via Odin.
Or use Sammobile.
If you want to install a custom ROM you will need to flash a custom recovery, for the N910G I would recommend this one (TWRP 2.8.7.0):
Download the twrp-2.8.7.0-trltedt.img.tar
https://dl.twrp.me/trltedt/
Flash it using Odin and your phone in download mode.
download stock firmware from sammobile (google it) and flash it with ODIN.
***DO NOT *** download and flash latest 5.1.1 firmware with build number "COJ5" as the latest version of 5.1.1 locks down the bootloader download any version below coj5

Unless you do not care about downgrading to lower bootloaders. It works fine otherwise. But having it locked does suck if you want to downgrade. No way to do it..... Yet.
Thanks for the help fellas, I ended up finding "N910GDTU1COJ3" which I'm flashing with Odin now.
Next time I'll flash the Dr K kernel before I do anything else...
Time to update my sig as well

This morning I grabbed a stock ROM from SamMobile and flashed it with Odin, no joy, stuck loading for about 10 minutes. It stopped boot looping at least.
So now I'm following your procedure, I will let you know how I get on.
It's a shame I can't use ADB otherwise I could just flash the Dr K kernel and then auto root with chainfire's tool... I've gotta use Odin for now...
It's downloading now with a CSC code of OPS...

After ODIN flashing, when it hangs, pull battery go into stock recovery and do factory reset.
I can't extract the enc4 files, both 7zip and WinRar don't recognise it...
Tried downloading twice...
I'll go back to my SamMobile download and see if factory resetting will work as suggested by DS...

Stock recovery doesn't allow me to do anything, just hangs there with a "Downloading...." message under the green Android Icon.

So I've just tried a stock ROM I downloaded using this tool, still hanging when trying to boot.
V Frustruating, the stock recovery doesn't allow you to do anything.
I need to convert Dr K's kernel to a tar file somehow so I can flash in Odin... I'm on 5.1.1 and there is a known issue with the bootloader.

Check PM.
There seems to be some confusion here, people are telling me, even on other threads, to do a factory reset in the stock recovery tool.
There might be an issue with recovery then, because I've only got a green android logo with "Downloading..." on the screen, nothing else is available to me.
It's not like previous bootloaders I've used where you use the volume key to select options etc, I literally can't do anything except flash from Odin.
Yes I have tried to flash TWRP using Odin, it didn't work...
OMG... By random luck I decided to hold the volume up key instead of down key when powering on and hey presto I have TWRP...
36 hours of my life I want back!

That's how to boot into recovery. By holding Volume UP, Home Button while powering on.
